His body fell to the floor with a loud thud. I couldn't scream, I couldn't move. It was silent.
His groans filled the room and I snapped out of my shocked trance. Tears poured out of my eyes and down my face.
"No!" I shouted.
But it was too late. He was laying on his back, gripping the wound. I ran to him and tried to stop the bleeding. I ripped off a piece of my shirt and placed it on his wound to prevent any more blood loss.
"Stay with me, Josh. Stay with me, please!" I cried.
A chuckle made me freeze and my blood was now boiling. I turned around slowly, never taking my eyes off of the man who had just shot Josh.
"Oopsie. My finger slipped," he smirked. I knew that I was unarmed. They took my guns when I was unconscious.
"You son of a-"
Richard shook his head. "Don't you dare. You should watch your language, sweetie."
I wanted to slap that mouth off. I wanted to see him suffer like he did with me. I wanted to get revenge for ruining my life and placing my friends in danger!
Spotting my gun on a nearby table, I ran to it and grabbed it. It was still loaded so I ducked behind a table and shot.
I aimed everywhere. I didn't have time to reload it over and over again. I had a specific amount of bullets in here and it was my only chance.
I shot towards Richard and when I heard a grunt of pain, I stopped.
I rose from behind the table and watched as Richard exhaled his last breath. I ran to Josh and held him close to me.
Footsteps came into the room. "Josh! What happened?" Gigi and Brandon ran to me.
I kept on holding Josh close, but I didn't tighten my grip too much. I was afraid I might hurt him more.
"What are you waiting for?! Call 911!" I yelled to Brandon. He rushed to the telephone and dialed the three numbers.
He started speaking, but it faded out. I was too focused on Josh. Tears escaped my eyes. "Josh, no. Don't leave me."
He was wearing a mask of pain and I wanted to go back in the past to stop this from ever happening.
I sobbed as Josh's shaking fingers caressed my cheek. "Don't cry, beautiful. I-I need you to....s-stop worrying about me for now. I'll be- I'll be fine."
He groaned and I brought his head to my chest. "Don't leave. Please!"
Josh forced a smile through the pain. "I won't. I-I promise." And his eyes closed.

I laughed as she pouted when I didn't share the candy bar. I felt free- free with the person who changed me. I wanted to just grab her by the lips and kiss her forever. She was my weakness. She was my kryptonite. She was my everything. I didn't need anyone else. She was everything I needed...and already had.
We sat down on a bench and we held hands. She looked into my eyes. "Josh, I-I hope you can hear me."
My eyebrows furrowed. What? I was right next to her. Of course I can hear her. "Emily, are you okay? I can hear you just fine."
She seemed to ignore me. "I want to spend all the time in the world with you. I am so sorry for hurting you. I put you in this position. I want you to wake up and hear your corny jokes. I want to hug you forever."
She started to sob. "I can never forgive myself. I can't let danger come to you because I dragged it when I kept running towards you. I think it will be better if I left. That way no harm can come to you."
She cried harder. "II'm so sorry."
Then she disappeared. I looked around for her, but it was just me now. Just me, standing in the middle of darkness.
