After the two intruders left I finished my task, and cleaned the mess I made.  I then went to cat form and clawed at the the door. A few seconds passed and the door opened.  The Alpha was already ahead of me walking to the music room with me in pursuit.

Once we make it to the music room -with no pit stops this time- we go on in, I shift back to my human form and sit down on the comfy couch.

"You're going to need to be more careful now." I look up at Josh confused as to why he held a smug look upon his face. I reach a hand up to my burning cheeks realizing what he meant.

"What? No... I mean... No... I don't know what your talking about." I deny everything silently hoping he'll change the subject. Although he is the one who brought it up so no real hope there.

"So you and my son aren't mates? And some other girl was in the restroom?" I bite my lip to keep from laughing at how stupid that scenario seems.

"Yeah. I don't have a mate, and I never will." I bluntly lay out the truth. The Alpha looks at me with sympathy, so I look away. There is no sympathy needed in stomping out weakness.

"He's going to be on his guard now. You know that means he has a chance of discovering you." He gives me a look of warning, the same kind my father used to give me before.

"Don't worry about it. I'll be gone before that happens." He looks at me perplexed, but doesn't push anymore.

"I understand your wishes, but while you're here you need to be apart of the pack." He leans back leaving his face as flat as a pancake. There's no way I can find away out of this.

"Then when will I join?" I shrug my shoulders as if I don't care. I'll be the only cat amongst a pack of dogs, but that's nothing to worry about. I hope.

"It's just a simple blood seal" I look at the Alpha in shock. Is it really that simple to add someone in a pack?

"Is that all?" Astonishment leaps through my voice as I ask the question.

"Along with the pack creed." He chuckles lightly as if my reaction was one of a kind.

"Sounds good. When do we get it over with?" I fold my legs up onto the couch making myself more comfortable.

"Whenever your ready." I think about it for a few minutes, and realize there's no way I can hold it off long enough to escape.

"I'll have to do it one way or another, so let's get this over with." The Alpha gets up and walks over to a small end table in the room that holds a chalice and a knife. How had I not noticed that before?

"The blood seal won't kill me right?" I look wide eyed at the knife. Meanwhile the Alpha just laughs at me as if I'm the funniest thing in the world.

"Not at all. It binds your blood into the pack until you officially leave pack" He grabs my hand, and before I have the chance to pull away he slits my palm open.

"Jiminy cricket! That hurt!" I hold my palm careful not to get blood on the new clothes I received.

"It's not supposed to tickle." The Alpha laughs, and slits his own hand before picking up the chalice. He then takes my now ingured hand, and holds it to his hand over the chalice. I stare off a bit letting the weird celestial words he chats fly over my head. He lets go of my hand just in time for me to see my wound close up, and as my wound closes up I feel the bonds of the pack linking into me. I then yelp feeling a big jolt of energy pound through my head.

"What is it?" The alpha asks, looking at me as he sets the chalice and knife on the table. His look holds concern, but in a way that would make someone -anyone else- think they have bats in the belfry.

"Nothing, just a hammer to the head" I chuckle feeling the tingles on the back of my head.

"Shit" I look at the Alpha startled. Did the Alpha just swear!?!

"What's wrong?" He looks up at me just realizing I'm still here.

"I forgot that if a mate of an Alpha, Beta, Delta, or Head Warrior, joins their pack, they'll both feel a jolt of electricity." He explains to me further, and my eyes widen three times in size.

"What do I do?!?" I look at him with panic not only in my eyes, but my voice too.

"Shift, hurry he's coming." I look at him, and his look of urgency tells me not to ask. I shifted as fast as I can as the door to the music room slams open with a very frantic looking mutt.

"Where is she?" He looks around, and sniffs out the place, while I hide under the couch in hopes he won't notice my presence.

"Who're you talking about?" Chase roars in annoyance at his father acting clueless.

"The girl you just accepted into the pack, and don't you say 'no clue who your talking about' I know she was in here. I can still smell her scent." By now I can almost imagine the steam pouring out of his ears. I snort softly holding in a laugh.

"Son, the only person I accepted into the pack today was that chubby teen named Myles. Your imagining things because you've been playing too much video games lately. Now go to sleep." Josh replys to his son showing irritation in his voice. Chase being a good boy listens to his fathers order.

"That was a close one." I laugh breathlessly, after I know he's gone.

"You need to stay more hidden now" Josh says as he takes a seat on the couch.

"What do you mean?" I turn towards him but not fully in fear the mutt will come back in.

"He knows your in the pack, and sooner or later he'll be able to sense you in your cat form as he cones into his abilities as an alpha." The alpha stands up again and moves the chalice back to the table.

"I understand. I'll be more carful" I yawn softly and the Josh looks over at me.

"Goodnight." The Alpha says letting me know with a slingle word that he's tired too. He might not be my father -ever- but he is the next best thing I'll find.

"Night." I shift back to my cat form, and walk through the open doorway. I go strait back to Emily's room not wanting any delays.

Once in her room, I jump on her bed.She mumbles under her breath shaking softly, and I assume she's having nightmares. I nudge her softly and she stirrs in her sleep enough to open her eyes and see me. She smiles softly and pulls me to her side as if I was her protector. I smile at the thought and drift asleep slowly.
