Raylina's POV
After talking with Chase for almost 2 hours we both decided it was about time to head down for breakfast. He went to his room first to change into a clean outfit, while I headed down first.
Walking down stairs for breakfast feeling ready for the day.One of my last few to remember as much as I can from my adolescence. I'll be leaving back to the wolf pack with Chase. Originally I was going to send him back on his own, however he's starting to grow on me. I never thought it could be so easy to talk to someone, but after this morning he no longer seems like a stranger.
"Looks like someone's hungry this morning!" My mother says, as snatch a piece of bacon off the half finished platter.
"Hey Ray." Sasha waves absently as she plays on her phone.
"Hi Sash." I walk over to her bacon still in hand and offer her a piece. This takes her attention away from her phone as she sets it face down on the table.
"I didn't know you went out on your own last night." Sasha turns towards me.
"What do you mean?" Munching on the bacon I sit in the chair next to her.
"The streaks, in your hair." Sash reaches for a lock of my hair and just twirls it in her fingers. "I wish you would've told me. I would've loved to join you." Sitting back in her seat she eats the strip of bacon I had bribed her with.
"Yeah, I didn't leave the house last night."
"So you went this morning?" This question causes my mother to pause.
"Nope. I haven't left." Turning towards the counter I reach out and steal another piece of bacon.
"Hey! Those are for breakfast! Gosh you take after your father with that appetite of yours" Smiling I crumble up the piece of bacon into mouth before she can protest further.
"Not my fault I barely ate for 5 years. Cat food is still vile, no matter what you try." I shudder at the memory of the poison tasting crap. I was ready to stop eating entirely.
"Then you can just put extra food on your plate." She scolds at me. Grumbling out a few words I turn away from the tempting food. I love home cooked food, it fills me with joy being able to have any moments like this whatsoever. "Hey!"Glancing back I see what made my mother upset once again. Seems I'm not the only bacon thief. My dad successfully snatched two pieces of bacon from the platter.
"What? I'm starved." My mother smacks him in the arm with the plastic spoon she's wielding. Giggling I look to Sasha, she back to ignoring the presence of our parents. I glance towards the stairs next, the scent of Chase enters the room before he does himself.
"The impatience of you all." My mother makes a 'tsk tsk' sound as she continues to cook up some more eggs.
"Oh, wherever could you have possibly gone wrong." The comment dripping with sarcasm comes from my sister. This fills the air with a small spark of hostility that disappears as soon as it appears.
"Hey Matt!" I jump up to give my brother a hug as him and his mate stroll into the room. Anything to avoid the unease that had washed over the room just seconds ago.
"Good morning little sis." He hugs me back helping ease a bit of the unease left in my stomach. He then reaches past my dad and takes a piece of bacon for himself.
"See what I mean!" My mother throws her hands upwards dramatically. Laughing Matt sits down to the left of me seeing as the right was taken by Chase.

Finished with breakfast I rise my plate off in the sink leaving my family for the hammock that resides on the back porch. Glancing up I take in the sky and admire the clouds. I never thought I'd be able to see the sky freely again.
"What are you planing?" I break my starring contest with the small rabbit-shaped cloud and see my sister as she plops down on to hammock beside me causing the whole thing to become unstable.
"How to not fall off the hammock now that you've joined the party" Turning to face Sash her face is suddenly more serious than it was the night I saw her again.
"How many days till we leave?" I look at Sasha as if she just told me the world was flat.
"What do you mean 'we'?" Sasha's gaze glances to the side suddenly seemingly terrified.
"I mean, it's not safe here" She looks, either way, causing me to suddenly feel like we're being watched. "There are things I know, things that you don't remember." Feeling uneasy I shift in my seat.
"What kind of things?" Somehow her words make sense to me. Ever since I've gotten back here, things don't seem to fit in the right place as I remember. Something hasn't felt right, and I now believe Sasha knows that too.
"Horrid things." The look in her eyes tells me enough. She knows something. Something that puts her life in danger of being here.
"Okay, I'll talk to Chase." Standing up ready to go find Chase, Sasha stops me.
Holding onto my wrist she says, "Not now. We need to act clueless. We need to wait, and play it safe." Looking down at Sasha's trembling form I nod my head. I'll trust her on this.
