THE NEXT ADVENTURE: Chapter 15-Still Wendy's P.O.V.

After rushing back to the tree house, Peter, without talking to me, he pulled me inside his room and sat me down on his bed. Sitting next to me, Peter watched the window as if he was protecting me. "Peter, I have to get outside," I said. He ignored me. I began to get up but was stopped.
"No, don't go, it's too dangerous," he said eagerly with hope in his eyes. I began to slowly shake my head.
"I have to go, Peter." He still didn't seem to understand me. "Robin would want me outside--"
"And Peter would want you inside. If Robin needs you, he'll come and get you." I thought about that and soon found myself sitting back down next to Peter. I could understand his behavior, he wanted to keep me safe, but he's really the one needing the protection.
"Peter, you're injured, at least let me grab a sword." Peter was cautious looking at me a little worried.
"But..." His voice died. "But...Wendy," He said frowning. I gave him a look. He eventually sighed. "Fine, but let me come with you," Peter requested. I thought a moment for his safety but knew he probably wouldn't let me go if I didn't let him come with me so I did. Finding no more swords in the main room of the tree house--at which was empty of any presence except my own and Peter's--I knew this would mean I'd have to go outside.

Helping Peter down the stairs of the tree house, I looked around for Tinkerbell or Robin. Suddenly something erupted from some trees close by. Looking straight ahead, Robin sped walk over here with two swords. "The lost boys are by the shore, I want you and Peter to go up in the shelter with this," Robin held up a sword for me. I gladly took it relieved. But then I remembered Peter couldn't fly with his rib cage.
"But, Peter can't fly," I said. Robin looked corrected then disappointed.
"Oh...right..." Robin paused a moment. "Well, you can't really have him climb either," Robin thought. I began to think of a solution.
"What if, I carry him? And..and you can help..." I felt Peter groan wrapped in my arm.
"I think you'll be enough," Peter mumbled talking to me. Robin was thinking again.
"Well, we have to do this quick--" Peter groaned louder. Robin paused to look at him then after meeting Peter's eyes, Robin looked back at me and began talking again. "I'll take his legs, you can take his arms."
"Watch out, I'm not very good at being still, I might just kick you in your face," Peter threatened light-heatedly. Robin gave him a fake smirk.
"I'll be careful," He said.

Releasing Peter from my arm, I went behind him and took him up by his armpits. Robin quickly went in front of Peter and started to crouch down and claim Peter's legs. Grabbing one of them, Peter was forced to lean back against me. Robin beginning to stretch Peter straight, Peter was bringing up his other leg when his foot quickly swung up and got caught in between Robin's legs with a wacking sound. Robin instantly bent forward and back in pain. I felt a laugh escape my lips so I quickly covered my mouth. "Op, sorry there, didn't notice how long my legs were," Peter said with a little grin that I witnessed appear from the side.
"Oh god..." Robin had his hands cupping his injured boyish parts trying to stay halfway standing. His eyes squeezed shut tightly, he struggled to relax and took a few deep breaths. "It's fine," He managed to choke up roughly.

After a second, Robin had suddenly collected himself--his eyes watering, he came to a complete stand and began grabbing Peter's legs again. "Okay, let's go," He said in a normal voice, which surprised me.
"Are you sure, Robin?" I asked a little concerned. He wiped his watery eyes and nodded quickly.
"Yeah, no worries." I quickly wrapped my arms around Peter's shoulders from his armpits and Robin lifted him. His muscles instantly hardening beneath his skin, I was suddenly reminded of when Peter used to have muscle. Almost attracted to Robin, I quickly thought of Peter and my attraction was gone. "Okay, on the count of three, one...two...three."

And Robin and I flew upward. Peter's weight barley an issue, we quickly floated inside the shelter from the roof. Placing Peter down, Robin backed up as if he was absolutely ready to leave. I couldn't blame him. He was nearly about to fly away when I grabbed his attention. "Wait!" He looked at me. "When do you want me to come to the shore?"
"Don't, you need to protect, Peter. You can see the shore from here. If it looks like were struggling, you can come down but keep Peter up here--"
"I don't think so, Robin, Wendy is staying with me. I need to protect her," Peter interrupted. Robin looked at me helplessly. I urged him to go with a hand gesture mouthing to him just to ignore Peter.

Peter still confident and tough I was not to be leaving him, Robin just nodded toward me and flew off. Peter looked back at me. "You arn't actually going to listen to him, are you?" I ignored that question and sat down. Staring out at the shore, I saw the ship at which had not come in yet. It was still half a mile out into the ocean. Hearing Peter's voice again, he repeated himself and I still ignored. Giving up now, he sat down next to me.

Observing the shore, I didn't see Tinkerbell, nor the Lost boys or Robin but I just assumed they hid in the trees. The ship continued to move along and so close was it turning in, my heart began to pound with anxiety. Was it Hook's ship? I hoped not. Though it was almost odd when I noticed the ship hadn't lit any rooms and it being so dark outside, I would think a ship would light up some of their rooms. Still it turned in.

And when I was positive the ship would reach the shore of the island, it suddenly went diagonal away from the island. I moved my head back with confusion. Waiting moments, I eventually stood up in the shelter with my sword feeling safe. The ship was gone now.

I was thrown off by the sudden howling that erupted and echoed across the island, and following the howl, came several more calls and soon enough, Robin and his lost boys happily broke free infront of the tree house. Robin flying up to me, I noticed he had red shining liquid all over his chest and neck as if he were bleeding. Smiling wildly, he was cheering as he approached the two of us. "They fell for it! The pirates, they fell for it!!!"
"Fell for what?" I asked confused.
"I pretended to be a dead body on the shore. The lost boys said the instant the ship saw me, they turned away!!" Robin was running in for something like a hug but stopped in front of me. Peter, as I would expect, stepped protectively in front of me. Robin looked awkward when he stopped in front of me. Peter had an arm holding me back. "What is that only your chest?" Peter asked slightly grossed out.
"Berry juice," Robin said with a shrug. Placing a finger on his lip, Peter thought to himself then looked suddenly impressed.
"That's a dang good plan," he said, "Who came up with it?" Robin beamed.
"Me!" Robin said happily. Suddenly Peter looked less impressed.
"Oh." Robin's smile died. "Well, I'm sure you could've thought of a better one..." Peter said. I instantly felt bad for Robin. But he smiled lightly.
"Oh, well, it shouldn't matter now, we're safe. The lost boys suggested on celebrating, come on!" Robin said cheerfully and began to fly off but stopped realizing he needed to help me with Peter. Meeting the floor of the shelter, he positioned himself. "Sorry," He said. I nodded.
"It's fine."

And we collected Peter and flew down to the tree house.

And so there was a celebration, at which I partially attended. Dawn was breaking over the trees and I was now watching. The celebration lasted the entire night. I'm sure by now, everyone was nearly collapsing in exhaustion inside but I remained away. What I thought was a sleeping Peter at which I had put to bed hours ago came outside and sat down next to me. I didn't say anything at first. "I couldn't sleep. I missed your stories," Peter said. I ignored him. He must've noticed how bothered I was about him and Robin because he mentioned Robin suddenly. "I'm sorry about earlier...with Robin and all." I ignored his apology and looked at him.
"Did you kick Robin on purpose, Peter?"
"Coarse not." I knew he was lying and gave him a face. "I'm serious, Wendy, it was on accident. And I said sorry..."
"It doesn't matter Peter, he is willing to help you and you still try and hurt him."
"Well, he bothers you," Peter said.
"No, Peter, he bothers you..." I said.
"He bothers both of us, and I don't want him getting to you." Peter said the last part a little insecure-like.
"There's nothing going on between him and I, Peter. We arn't together or anything." I suddenly thought of something else. "And you and I arn't even together," I said angrily and got up to go inside, not that what I said would change our relationship in any way. Peter followed me into my room. As I had expected, everyone was asleep. Laying down, I turned away from Peter. I then felt him kneel down against my bed.
"Come on, Wendy...please forgive my foolishness?" His voice sounded beautifully hard to resist but I still ignored him. "I want you to tell me a story before I go to sleep," he whispered in my ear. I felt chills race down my neck. Peter touched my arm and leaned over the side of my face. Remaining looking forward, I did not look at Peter. He then nuzzled up in my neck tickling me and making me giggle. "Go with me, I know you want to, Wendy. We can share my bed," He said. I blushed terribly still ignoring him. "You and I both missed each other..."

Suddenly remembering how much I did miss Peter, I couldn't bare to ignore Peter any longer and gave in to him. "Well fine," I said looking at Peter. He grinned and helped me up from my bed.

After we made it to his room, he laid down in his bed and patted a spot next to him for me to lay down. I approached the fur with a smile and a blush. Getting comfortable, I turned away from Peter on my side, he laid his arm gently over my other side and curled up next to me making me blush even more. One of his curly sideburns tickling me, I felt that undefined special feeling again and giggled. "See, you really missed me..." Peter said.
"Very much so," I admitted. I felt him grin then rest his head right by mine.

In the moment, I still felt like something was missing and turned to face Peter. He opened his eyes for me and smiled at me. "Will you please promise me something?" I asked concerned. He looked serious a moment then nodded.
"Anything," He mumbled.
"Respect Robin?" I asked.
"As long as he doesn't lay a hand--"
"Peter, please?" I begged.

There was a hesitation but then Peter sighed and breathed, "I'll promise you anything, Wendy."
