THE NEXT ADVENTURE: Chapter 27--Robin's P.O.V.
Sitting on a log, I watched the party. It was night time at the moment and a huge bonfire was roaring in the center of Tiger Lily's village. I had made sure to give her my gift and wish her a happy birthday before I decided to just sit down. I searched for Wendy but she was no where to be seen nor was Peter. I assumed they were together. That broke my heart a little but it was only a little. I was glad the lost boys were having fun. They danced about dressed in Indian makeup with the other members of Tiger Lily's tribe. Speaking of Tiger Lily, I saw her dancing a few minutes ago but now I couldn't find her.
I didn't bother to go dancing myself to the Indian drums and songs. Too much was on my mind. And I had danced earlier...but only for a little bit...up until I couldn't find Wendy anymore. I had saw her when we came to the party but then then she just wondered off. I could take the time to walk through the huge Indian party but I didn't. I didn't know exactly why either. Maybe it was because I was a little scared that she'd actually be with Peter. I had no doubt in my mind she wasn't with him. I just didn't want to actually find them together. They could be kissing or hugging or dancing.
"Robin, is it?" I suddenly heard that familiar British and Irish mixed voice. Tiger Lily. Her long black hair was done and braided with little braids in that braid hanging down her back like I had seen when I got to the party. But now she wore a square-necked white dress. As sleeves, they were like wings with fringes. Fringes also hung over the front of her dress and reached her waist. Fringes made up a majority of the skirt of her dress too and when she sat, they spread and revealed half of her thighs. Smiling at me now, her purple eyes were bright and lifted the clouds in my mind. "Sorry, I'm not good with names," She added.
"It's Robin," I assured her. She smiled even bigger now.
"I guess I'm not that bad. Not much like your lost boys, are you?" She asked. I gave her a puzzled expression. "They like dancing..." she pointed out. I understood.
"Oh...well. No...I guess I'm not much of a dancer," I answered.
"Or are you just tired?" She suggested. I shrugged.
"Why arn't you dancing?" I asked.
"It's too crowded. While I do enjoy parties, they eventually get suffocating and I have to get away to breath."
"Oh," I said. She didn't say anything back and the dieing conversation with her itched at me so I brought up something to keep the it going. "Wearing a different dress I see."
"Oh," She looked down then smiled, "It was a gift...from the chief. He wanted so desperately for me to change into it...so...I did."
"The chief as in...your father?"
"You can say that. Do you not like it?" She asked about the dress.
"Oh--no...it's pretty, I do." She smiled at me again.
"Thank you." I nodded.
There was another silence. I looked down. "Your eyes," she suddenly started. I met her purple gaze. "They're nice." I blushed.
"So are yours," I mentioned. She blushed as well. A comfortable sensation filled the air between us and I figured maybe I could go off and dance again. "Would you want to dance with me?" I asked. Tiger Lily's cute pale and freckled face brightened again.
"Sure," She chirped. I smiled and took her hand, pulling her away from the log.
"We don't have to dance too close to the party if you don't want to," I suggested seeing is how she had got away to breath.
"Oh no, it's fine. Come..." She urged and directed me back to the crowd. Suddenly she stopped and took me to the side. "Just one more thing," She said then pulled some berries from her pocket. She then squeezed them till the juice spewed out over her fingers and carefully, she drew a line on each of my cheeks with the red juice. "Mind taking off your hat?" She asked. I did without responding then from off her head came a headband with a feather. She then slide the little head dress onto my own head then smiled. "Maybe now you'll feel more confident."
Then she pulled me to the party. And I did feel more confident. Maybe now I could let go of some worries for a while.

"You are now bonded," the Indian lady spoke and unwrapped the vine from around Peter and I's wrists. What the Indian lady had just done was tied Peter and I together spiritually meaning we became one soul. The Chief then took off his war bonnet and placed it on Peter's head. Peter whipped out a grin when he looked at me and I laughed.
Suddenly, Peter got up and ran into the woods. In confusion and eager to see what he was doing, I escaped into the dark starlit forest moments after he did. He was racing and darting. "Peter!" I yelled after him. I heard him snicker then he flung around a corner losing me. I stopped in my tracks then yelled again, "Peter!!" There was no answer.
In slight confusion, I started walking again. "Peter?" I said less louder. A snicker hissed through the leaves. I gasped and followed the direction it came from. Passing tree after tree with only the night sky to guide me, I suddenly heard the upcoming sounds of rushing water and followed it quickly. "Peter?" I asked again finding a creek.
"In here, Wendy!" Perking up at Peter's echo from somewhere, I leaped over the creek and turned a corner finding the entrance to a cave.
"Peter, are you in here?" I asked holding the mouth of the cave peering into darkness. There was another snicker. I gasped once more. "You are!" I piped with success then nearly threw myself inside the cave.
Groping about the wall with my hands, I anxiously took baby steps. "Peter, please make a noise! Goodness, it's so dreadfully dark in here!" I called through the cave. There was no response. "Peter, please--" There was a little sneeze that echoed and I quickly spotted some light further down my path. The sounds of more rushing water came with that lit area and I started after it.
Finally about to turn into this lit section of the cave--the rushing water louder then ever--I was thrown off when I felt someone yank me inside and I gasped. "Found you!" Peter's voice echoed loudly. From the side I could spot the back of a waterfall.
"Goodness--"
"Shh!" Peter snapped and turned my face in his direction. My heart skipped a beat just then when I found his bright green orbs just inch's from me. The chief's war bonnet shooting out wildly over Peter's curly gold hair, he held me close with a smile on his lips.
"This cave, it's so beautiful--"
"Shh!"
"Peter I--"
"Don't speak...just...close your eyes--"
"But Peter I--" Suddenly, his warm lips smashed against mine. My eyes fell closed and my heart instantly started racing wildly and butterflies exploded in my stomach. So much feelings were rushing back from when we kissed before and finally it happened again. Peter deepened the kiss and his lips nearly melted against mine, and a smile tugged at my mouth. After moments we broke free, breathless.
A huge grin spread across Peter's blushing face just then, then he slid off his war bonnet and hugged me tight. "Never leave me again," he whispered.
I suddenly recognized that special feeling...
It was love.
