THE NEXT ADVENTURE: CHAPTER 17

I began to debate in my head whether or not I should follow Peter's voice. In all honesty, I wanted to keep my head. And in all honesty, I was scared. Even though I'm unaware of doing anything to Peter, who knows what he has to accuse me for anything, but I did nothing.

Wendy started towards Peter's voice. Quickly I flew up inside the leaves of the tree I was hiding behind and waited as Wendy passed. If she saw me, she would know I was watching her not too long ago, and I couldn't have that. She would think I'm a creep. I guess maybe I am...oh jeez, Robin, you ARE a creep, I thought to myself...watching girls wash their hair, your mother would not be happy.

Looking after Wendy as she grew further away, I heard the echo again, god it was still so loud and deadly...but I knew I would have to go to it and figure out what it was all about...or, I can escape to the main island and pretend I was already off finding answers. No, Robin, c'mon, don't be a chicken...I thought to myself. Just go see what it's about, maybe you WON'T get killed.

That was true, maybe I wouldn't but still...

Eventually, I sucked it all up and flew to the tree house...the echos getting louder and more hoarse till my eyes eventually met Peter's as I flew in the tree house doorway next to Wendy with her dripping hair at which she rang out onto the floor. His eyes were on fire and I wanted to flinch as he got in my face. "YOU TOOK IT DIDN'T YOU?!"
"What?" I asked really confused.
"YOU TOOK MY FLUTE! IS IT BECAUSE YOU THINK I TOOK YOUR STUPID ARROWS?!!?"
"What?! No," I said struggling. Wendy tried to calm Peter down.
"LET ME INFORM YOU OF SOMETHING, I AM NOT TO BE MESSED WITH!! You have no idea who I am, do you?!"
"I didn't take your flute Peter!" I said. He refused to soften.
"I CAN EASILY JUST TAKE THAT STUPID SMIRK OFF YOUR FACE, you stomping around here thinking you ARE SOME BOSS!! Well you know what, you are stupid and foolish, you don't know what you're doing--" Wendy grabbed Peter by his arm.
"Peter!" She snapped.
"No Wendy! He's guilty!"
"I'm not smirking!" I said out loud to the previous thing Peter said.
"WHERE IS IT?!" Peter yelled in my face his own face red. Tink frantically flew to him. He smacked her away.
"I DIDN'T TAKE YOUR STUPID FLUTE!" I repeated back in frustration and anger. I could hear Tink's little complaints and anger towards Peter. She tried to talk to him but he yelled at her.
"TINK DON'T TRY AND CALM ME DOWN!"
"No you stupid boy!! I took your flute!!" Tink said to Peter pinching him. Peter was about to rant on some more until he heard what Tink said then suddenly shut up.
"What?! Why would you do that!?" Peter said a little quieter.
"I took it to other fairies so they can bless it and make some adjustments, Peter." Peter was quiet.

I stifled a powerful smirk of pleasure. Peter was going to have to apologize to me. "I don't understand, why didn't you tell me--" Peter looked around the floor terribly puzzled then suddenly erupted into yet another angry voice, "I DIDN'T FINISH IT!" Wendy quickly struggled to calm him down again.

What amazed me was how Peter can be so angry sometimes but no matter what, he never hurts Wendy when she's trying to calm him down. "The fairies did, Peter! I was going to surprise you!" Tink yelled angrily in Peter's ear.
"You could've told me--god, now I look like the stupid and foolish one," Peter said mumbling the last part to himself. I wanted to grin so bad, but I held off.

Wendy suddenly grabbed my hand and stepped back. Taking her other hand, she demanded Peter with a finger to apologize. "Apologize right this instant, Peter!" Wendy said sternly. I wanted to blush. Wendy was defending me. Peter suddenly found our hands and I swear I could see the deadliest flame of anger cross his eyes...it almost scared me. But I held my strength because I had the best kind of person on my side. And her beautiful name was Wendy Darling.

By this time, Peter had calmed but still he did not want to apologize. He then looked down in shame. His lips moved but I heard nothing. "Louder Peter, goodness what do you think we are, a pair of dreadfully experienced wolves when it comes to hearing?" Wendy asked a little playful. I then couldn't help it and smiled. Peter gave me a glare and a groan before speaking up.
"I'm sorry," Wendy pointed at him. "Robin..." Peter finished choking and gritting his teeth a little.
"We all make mistakes," I said in forgiveness and lifted my chin high. Wendy then smiled at me. In all honesty, I wanted to urge a better apology but knew that probably wasn't very smart.

Suddenly Twig and Popper let out a huge breath of I assume, relief. "Thank goodness, I thought I was about to relive the war," Twig said. I looked at him and laughed a little. Peter then looked at Twig from the side and through clenched teeth, he mumbled to himself thinking no one heard him.
"Maybe not yet," he said. Popper's eyes instantly got big then he looked at Snaps.
"He's only joking...right?" Popper nervously asked Snaps. Snaps shrugged.
"Let us get started on the fort then?" Asked Snaps to Popper. Popper nodded and off they went escaping out of the tree house.

Meeting Peter's eyes, I tried my best to give a smile but honestly still felt kind of disappointed in him. Peter then gave me a dreadfully fake smile and when he looked away he rolled his eyes. Wendy let go of my hand just then. I suddenly felt sad. "Let's go, Peter Pan," She said taking his hand and pulling him to his own room. "We are going to discuss your behavior right this instant!" She sounded much like a mother and in his room she took him, shutting me out of her world once more.

And as a result...

Even though Birdie, Twig, Woodie, and Tink remained in the main room of the tree house with me, I still felt terribly lonely.
