"Daphne!" I cried out, swaying my head from right to left and then spinning my body south and north. The tall bodies and many faces that flooded the mall all became monstrous in my eyes. Whenever they're eyes would flicker at me, my body became still and my throat would clog up.
My small arms wrapped around my stomach before running off down to the map to pick out my location. The mall was divided into colorful lettered sections but there was no 'You're here' spot. That was ridiculous. What kind of map had no 'You're here' spot? Either way, I was lost, scared. There was no telling where I was, where Daphne was. No idea how to get back home.
"Got you...!" A cheery high voice snuck up my shoulder. I jumped and spun around and kicked the person in the shin, afraid it was a bad person."Fuck!" She spat up. My eyes widened some more and gasped-he said a really bad word.
"Bad girl Rose!" She frowned, bending down to my height, her heart shape face showing, and ivory skinned and cute plump nose with brown hair falling long over her shoulders and eyes acting as a mirror to myself. She lifted me up, putting one arm underneath my knees while I sat on her arm and hugged her neck. I inhaled the vanilla scent that lingered on her skin and the comfortable warm feeling when I hung onto her.
"You said a bad word," I pointed, "You're bad."
'I know... I'm sorry," She heavily sighed, "I'm not very good at this mothering thing, you know."
"Mommy, Daphne ditched me." I told.
"She did, didn't she?" She muttered, and stuck out her tongue, "Are you okay? You weren't scared were you?"
"I'm not scared of anything,” I flatly defended.
"Except spinach."
"E-ept that."
"Ex-sept"
"Ecpet,"
"Close enough," She shrugged and tugged in my hair behind my hair, smiling a little, "Let's go home okay?"
"How about Daphne?"
"She's with her mother," She didn't meet my eyes when she said the words, her muscles becoming a little tense. I blinked, staring obliviously at her and just nodded. Her hazel eyes would flicker around the area, as she grabbed the hoodie wrapped around her waist and putting it on top of my hand. "It's a little cold outside," She explained. It was hot, so I didn't know what she was talking about but maybe it was because something bad was happening.
Fingers trailed down the arch in my back, caressing it back and forth. A small moan escaped my lips, shifting to remove the touch. A light chuckle fluttered in my ears before shrinking down into silence again, but the fingers still moved down over to my thigh.
Shuddering, I pried my eyes open and stared at familiar smug deep blue eyes. A sound between a yelp, scream and a screeching car came out of me, when I pushed on his chest to distant myself and tumbled right on the tiled ground. I heavily groaned, squeezing my eyes at the small pain spreading down my head.
