Chapter 12

Badass

Within only a couple of hours I managed to make enemies with my allies and my enemy my ally. Sadly, Natalie’s support was pretty short compared the support I had with Javier and Damon’s mother. This must have been the stupidest thing I’ve done yet. I had no idea what were the consequences for my actions. Well-I’m pretty sure Damon’s parents would try to hunt me down for shooting Damon. Damon would probably also use all his resources to hunt me down for what I did. Then Javier...oh god Javier. He was definitely going to find me. So the question now was should I run? Obviously, I had to keep Natalie secure. I don’t even know why I’m protecting her. She tried to kill me!

Because you’re a nice person...and if you don’t than Damon’s going to ruin himself mentally and you’ll never be able to live with yourself if someone died on your watch. My mental thoughts explained. So, what was my goal? Protect her? Runaway with her to keep her safe from my crazy ex-boyfriend? With what money am I going to do that? I’m going to need fake ID’s and pass every single security that is known.  A loud frustrated growl escaped my lips and echoed into the room. The old man peaked out into the room I was resting in and raised a brow.

“Sorry.” I sighed, “I’m just frustrated. Is she awake yet?” I sat myself up and winced at the ache spreading down my back. It wasn’t as terrible as before but it still hurt now and then. To add on the pain on my back, my head was also killing me but it was starting to ease.

“No. I need you to pick up a couple of orders for me. It’s not too far, although you need to do something about your hair.” He stated, wearing his long white coat. It was an easy price to pay to stay here. Although...

“What’s...wrong with my hair?” I asked, my brows drawing together.

“Nothing. I thought you were in hiding.” He said giving a slack expression. Oh... I should dye it and cut it maybe. I wasn’t too sure what my next move was but in case I wanted to hide, I might as well change the style of clothes and hair. A door cracked open and a male yelled out “I’ll do it!”

“I told you to get back home!” I shouted my fist balling and my body going still.

“I did.” He flatly spoke and had stepped into the room, closing the entrance door behind him. I could see him from the room I was in now. I stepped in further out of the room and stared at Seth who was slouching against the closed door.

“You never told me I had to stay.” He reminded.

“Someone could have followed you!” I exclaimed, “And I don’t want you involved.”

“Well, I kind of already am.” His forehead creased and he shrugged his shoulders. Seth then had stepped further into the room and came in front of me, “What are you going to do about it?” I opened my mouth to say something but shut it realizing I couldn’t come up with anything to say to him. He tried to keep a straight face but failed as his lip twitched.

“What if I ran away to another country, would you follow me there?” I doubly blinked, putting all my weight onto my left hip and my arm holding it.

“I’ll call Sam and we can all have a vacation.” He brilliantly smiled, his eyes sparkling with delight at the idea. Obviously, seeing Damon shot wasn’t enough for him to deceiver that this was a serious matter.

“Seth. People are trying to kill her, and probably out to hunt me. If you come, it’ll be more difficult to hide,” I stated.

“Okay, say you hide. For how long?” He crossed his arms, giving me a questioning look. I felt the urge to scream to the top of my head because I was so confused, frustrated and indifferent.
