TRIALS OF APOLLO THE HIDDEN ORACLE IS BEING PUBLISHED TOMORROW YESSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!! But then I live in Hong Kong so I have to wait like 1 month until it comes out. POOP.

The Hydra hissed at me and I did everything I could to avoid it's snapping heads. I put my sword away and readied my bow: I didn't want to accidentally cut of a head. I had no fire, so there was no way I could disarm it's heads without them growing back. And the way it spoke to me, I was sure that Nyx had sent it.

I decided to attack it's body.

It's body was long and serpentine, but when I cut of it's tail, it felt no pain and only started to attack me even faster. My fight against the Hydra had turned into a game of hide and seek to kill. I hid behind the trees, and I could hear the whisper of the dryads to kill the monster, to stop it destroying the lands.

I was trying?

I searched my memory for how Percy defeated the Hydra twice. Once, he had been fighting with Tyson and Annabeth when Clarisse blew it up. The second time, it was with Jason and Piper and he blew it up with a pink rocket launcher. I was missing all the vital things. The Hydra spat acid at me, and instinctively, instead of ducking for cover, I put a hand out to somehow shield it from me. Weirdly, I felt nothing. When I dared to look up, my palm was wrapped with silver energy, the same color as the slight aura Artemis gave me. I had fire.

When the Hydra lunged again, I rose to met it. Swiping off one of it's heads, I held one palm towards it, dodged another head, and swiped it off. This process continued, until there was one head left: the immortal head. The immortal head seemed even more annoyed at me after I chopped off all it's other heads, but it still hissed at me. Being the child of Poseidon, I could understand the Hydra, a sea animal. "Foolish Princess." it hissed. "Do you think you can beat the immortal Hydra?"

I shrugged. "My brother killed you twice. Is that not enough?" Hissing in anger, the immortal head lunged at me with lightning speed and I flicked my sword upwards, the head falling with a thud on the floor. The Hydra's body disappeared in to golden dust, but the immortal head stilled writhe around on the floor, trying to bite me. Making sure that none of the Hydra's blood would touch me, I dipped several of my arrows in Hydra poison. Just like Hercules. I then buried the Hydra's immortal head in a series of rocks, to stop it from trying to attack people.

"Did, did you just kill the Hydra?" A voice asked behind me. I whirled around just to see my nocked arrow pointing towards Dominique's face. "Hey, hey, no hard feelings here. You'll never believe what I just say Master Nico doing." Dom's habit to call Nico Master was starting to fade, but he still occasionally called him Master Nico.

"What is it?" I asked, obviously infuriating Nico, as his pale cheeks turned red with embarrassment. I never knew he could even blush. It must have been pretty funny if it made him blush.

"Have you ever walked in to two people kissing?" Dom asked.

"Yep, all the time. I have Percy and Annabeth, remember?" I nodded.

"Well, I just walked in to Will Solace and Nico in the middle of a make out session." he burst out laughing. "Anyways, did you just kill the Hydra?"

"With no explosions. " I grinned. "What's more impressive, killing the Minotaur or killing the Hydra?"

"Hydra, because you killed it." answered Dom, before blushing beet red as well. Nico sniggered slightly and nudged him with his shoulder.

"Oh don't you laugh, Nicoló." he froze at the name.

"How do you know my full name?" he asked.

"Apparently, I'm the Princess of the Seas, and you two are the Princes of Death. The Hydra could speak, and it said that killing me would suffice."

"Princess of the Seas, isn't that what she said would breathe it's last breath?" Dom said. "Does that mean you're going to die? Like, today?"

"Me or Victoria. So I'm up on guard."

"Smart." Nico said.

"I'm a daughter of Athena, of course I'd be smarter than you, Death Breath." I snapped.

"Woah, woah. Hold your horses Thea. I'm just gonna leave you two," Nico gestured with his fingers, "to have a bit of an alone time, so I'll scout the other bits of the forest."

Nico walked off, leaving me and Dom alone. Awkward silence.

"Soooo." I started. "Why does Leah hate her mom that much, anyways? She actually fits in with the Aphrodite kids, even if she doesn't realize it."

Dom smiled. "I love this story. So it all started when I first met Leah.

I was the Polish immigrant, and we were actually from the same school. Leah, as a daughter of Aphrodite, was a flirty girl, like all the Aphro-kids we have in this camp, especially *cough cough* Drew *cough cough.* I arrived at the school as one of those popular kids who tried not to be popular, and I soon made friends with Leah, who, being an love-goddess's daughter, was super hot. This got annoying because the boys wanted to date her, and the girls wanted to date me. Which turned out increasingly annoying.

Thanks to Aphrodite, we were pressured into dating. Which was pretty cool, because we were best friends and all that, but we weren't really into that. It was all just for a show. Now you'd be asking, what in Hades would a son of Death himself be put into the tangles of love? Well, love and death are more similar than you can imagine. Aphrodite then thought that her daughter should have an incredibly messed up love life, so she made her have a crush on this jock, who cheated on her, and Leah soon had dated every single guy in our grade.

Against her own will, should I say.

We then left school because of my stupid step-dad and her bitchy step-mom. Also because we were being hunted by a pack of hellhounds, which we were only able to avoid by me stopping them for a while out of respect and then shadow-travelling away. One time, after we had just escaped the hellhounds again, Aphrodite appeared to us. She claimed Leah as her daughter, which caused Leah to fly into a murderous rage thanks to her mom's irritating interference with life. A massive argument started and it ended with Leah attacking Aphrodite, only for Aphrodite to make me hold Leah back. Leah then blamed me for holding her back, and when I explained that it was Aphrodite controlling me, she got super mad at her.

When we nearly reached camp, don't tell her this, but I watched her sleep. She was muttering something like 'Stupid mother. You show up in my dream just to tell me that my love life is going to be as messed up as Percabeth, even more? If you say I don't like it that way means I'm disowning you, than fine. I'm disowning you. I'm no daughter of Aphrodite.' I didn't tell her that she talked in her sleep, but I'm pretty sure that's why she hates Aphrodite."

I smiled. "Nice conclusion, Death boy."

"Do I get a hug?"

"No."

Soon, we had scouted the entire forest, minus the one part where we would clash with the other group. As we walked towards the meet up point, we saw the golden light reflecting from Victoria's belt. Vic smiled and waved at us, and we waved back. All was fine until Leah's face went slack with fear, and I heard a roar behind us.

I turned on my heel, and instead of a Hydra, we were about to be attacked by a herd of hellhounds.

And these hellhounds looked like they had a lot of history with Leah and Dom.

I just ended my chapter with another cliffy... I feel bad. I put in a bit of Leah and Dom's history, but after the next chapter, there'll be more about their history, especially Leah's. Comment any demigod ideas you want to be mentioned as minor characters, and you'll get a shout-out at the end of the next chapter.
