HAPPY BIRTHDAY SEAWEED BRAIN EVEN IF IT'S ALREADY NIGHT IN AMERICA!!!
"Block it!" I yelled, as Leah fought against Hazel, blade against blade, Hazel pretending to be Alice with snide and sarcastic comments. On the other side, Max fought against Leo, who wasn't doing a very good job because he didn't know how to use a whip, so Jason soon took over, even though he wasn't very good either.
Dom sparred against Reyna, which was incredibly interesting since they both hated each other with so much intensity it was hilarious. Calypso was weaving some strange contraption with her loom that started weaving these golden nets and some clothes that were fire-proof since she kept saying. "You're working too hard and there's too much knowledge pouring through your mind. One of you has powerful charmspeak, one can control shadows and one can create silver flames. You're going to spontaneously combust."
I, on the other hand, thought against Piper, who's voice was nonstop. She made me think about my darkest moments, when Tori died, when I was whipped, Echidna's taunts, stirring up the darkness inside of me. And it was funny that I had actually especially asked her to do this, since I wanted to train my mental defenses. Create a barrier in my mind like Annabeth and Percy tried to from their memories of Tartarus. Piper had refused at first, until I bet her that if she won our match, she wouldn't have to do it again.
She then bartered that I had to give instructions to the rest of them at the same time.
Sure.
On the side, Nico had created minor shadows as he paced around, Will at his side, petting his head like a dog, which seemed to infuriate him even more. "Keep making him angry Will! We need more shadows." Dom seemed to hear this and soon, shadows began to rise from underneath the ground, the darkness that lurked beneath the surface of our souls.
I parried Piper's stroke, whacking her hard with the flat of my blade, making her stumbled back, but she soon composed herself and backed up, her sword at the ready, waiting for me to make the first move. I smiled and swung sideways, Piper jumping to narrowly miss it and she started to drive me backwards.
Our blades were a clang of bronze and silver as we made our way around the fighting partners around us. Leah had Hazel at her knees, before Hazel altered the mist slightly, making Leah stumble back. The mist was still there, since Hecate was only weak, not faded, but it was weakening it's hold on the world. So there was only enough mist left for some party tricks.
Leah sighed and soon Hazel was on her knees, and before she could once again use the mist, Leah whacked her on the head, making her drop to the floor, unconscious. Leah grinned triumphantly and I smirked at her, before dropping to the floor to dodge Piper's swinging blade. I didn't fancy being an ice popsicle.
From my disadvantage from the ground, Piper soon loomed above me, she being taller and older than me. Grunting, I swung my feet around, and flipped myself back up, before her voice soon started to sing her haunting melodies. Memories of me, Emily and Tori flooded my mind and I stumbled back to avoid the tears. She started her onslaught on me as I backed up, occasionally shouting words of encouragement.
Oh, the irony. I shouted words of encouragement while I was broken deep inside.
Piper smiled as I looked into her astonishing eyes. They swirled even more than Leah's did, and she ran up and plunged her sword down....
...deep into the ground beside me.
The momentum pushed her over, and she stumbled as she skidded backwards from the force she used. I whipped out a bow and shot an arrow at her armor, and she fell to the floor with a thump. "Dying... Bleeding... Wheezing.... Probably winning an Oscar...." she stage-wheezed.
"Good game, Ma'am." I said, helping her up.
"Guess you win the bet then." she smiled, then grinned. "Dang, I just got beaten by a girl who's two years younger than me."
"Who's a daughter of Artemis, Athena and Poseidon and trained for 9 months non stop."
"That's true."
Max and Jason were still fighting, and it seemed like they were having a conversation at the same time.
"No way! Marvel is way better." Max yelled as he spun away to dodge a whip from Jason and whacking him away with the butt of his sword.
Jason snorted. "Marvel doesn't have Superman." He stumbled back but launched himself back up at him.
"Superman sucks." Max declared. "Who needs Superman when you have a god?"
"Superman does not suck!" he yelled defiantly, rising himself into the air. The glittery gold of the whip was unnatural and clashed with Jason's wheat-yellow hair.
"You have the Flash! He's useless!" Max cried, holding onto his leg before Jason could go high enough to launch lightning.
"Marvel is WEAK!" Jason said, flinging his legs around as Max dodged the tireless onslaught of inaccurate whips. Max swung his bronze shield that was attacked to his forearm, swinging it around and hitting Jason squarely on the chest.
"If Marvel was weak, I wouldn't be copying their moves. Team Captain guys!" Max cried as they plummeted to the floor.
"This is amusing." Said Reyna, from the side. "Is this part of your plan? Max and Tom arguing about Marvel and DC?"
"Our plan is none of your business." I snapped. "The legion needs you. Shoo, shoo."
Reyna humphed and she soon tapped her SPQR tattoo and dissolved away. "Why did you do that?" Hazel asked, regaining consciousness.
"Nyx blackmailed her. She's suffering from PTSD, I guess. She has nightmares about her time in Puerto Rico. I think that Nyx has made her the spy, unwillingly though. Have you not seen the look on her eyes?"
"Dark and haunted." Dom answered, coming over from his fight with Reyna. "Reasons why I hate her. She's too much in control."
I sighed. "So again?"
The fights all started again, and went over the map I had created. Calypso came up to me at the side. "Don't stress yourself, Arthella. You're a young soul, with plenty of love."
I looked up to her. "You've done the best you can, Callie. Leo wouldn't have killed himself to defeat Gaia and find you if it wasn't for you."
"I know." she smiled embarrassed. "Oh gods. I'm rubbing off him."
"That's a good thing." I grinned at her.
"That's true." she took some black and green fabric from her bag. "I'm no Aphrodite, but I made this for you. Aphrodite's aren't fire-proof, they're only dirty-proof because of her glamour." She made a gesture with her hands to prove her point. "And you deserve a present, even if it's just a set of clothes. It's like the one that I made for Leo."
"Oh, so I'm like Leo?" I raised an eyebrow. "I'm short, scrawny, looks like an imp? I have a bad sense of humor?"
"No!" she started bursting out in laughter and I joined her. Pure laughter. Never thought I heard it again. "He's more of an elf now, but you look like an elf as well. But you've got a sense of humor, even if you refuse to show it. Lighten up, Thea."
I traced my finger of the route. Leah and Max would sneak through the Garden of Hesperides. Me, Dom and Emily would go through the Labyrinth. We would meet up at the thrones and then, well, Chaos.
This was not going to be easy.
Darn. It took me an hour to type this up but this isn't very good. Au revoir.
