Tayler

"Here we are!" Hayes exclaimed & got out of the car.

"Yeah," my voice trailed off.

"Babe c'mon. Let's not do this tonight," he sulked & held my hand, "I love you," he whispered in my ear. I flashed a little grin.

"Hey I made you smile!" he giggled. God he's cute.

"Not smile but grin," I corrected him.

"Whatever Shakespeare," he laughed & put his hand on my face.

"I love you," I said through his hand & licked it. He flinched & released.

"You're gross," he laughed & shook his head.

"But I'm yours so deal with it," I stuck out my tongue & led him inside. The door was opened for us by Daniel since it is his party.

"Ah the Griers! What a pleasant surprise! Come in, come in!" Daniel greeted us, "it's been ten years! How's the marriage? How's the kids? Oh Tayler darling congratulations on that dance job! Hayes, my bro, I heard about football, amazing season! Well the catch up was nice," he smiled & laughed himself to death.

"This guy. He's really something else," I laughed. Someone poked my back & I turned around to see Mckinnley.

"Hey loser," she smiled.

"Hey moron didn't expect you to be here," I tilted my head.

"I heard his parties were lit so I decided to crash," she smirked.

"Ah Mc," I chuckled & headed to the snack table.

"So how are thing with the one?" she emphasised 'the one'

"Ah," I spoke, "okay-ish. We're fighting a lot now & I don't even know why. We had an argument just yesterday."

"Aww Tay," she sulked, "wait, he doesn't hit you does he?"

"No. Of course not," I gasped.

"Good," she nodded.

"I just gotta watch out for him tonight. I don't know, he might get a little too excited," I shoved some pretzels in my mouth.

"Tay you're doing it again," she said & hit my hand.

"What?" I chewed.

"Stress eating," she mentioned.

"Oh damn," I stepped away from the table & paced myself.

"This is really tearing you. Well, just know I'm here for you best friend," she smiled & hugged me.

"Thanks Mckinnley," I hugged her back & sighed. She smiled at me & left. I went to Hayes & he had a red cup in his hand.

"Hayes, babe, are you drinking?" I asked anxiously.

"Yeah why?" he asked back.

"Well that's not like you & we haven't even been here for fifteen minutes & you're already drinking," I reassured.

"Babe I only drink on these type of occasions which isn't often plus Daniel's got me. Don't worry about it," he puffed in my face & the stench of alcohol hit my nostrils.

"Okay just don't go overboard babe," I held my breath & with that, we separated for the night because I didn't wanna see Hayes this way.
