(Y/n)'s POV

We chatted for a while when Lloyd said, "This isn't a fighting tournament, it's an alibi for Chen to steal everyone's powers. And we still don't know why..." "Isn't it obvious? Chen wants to destroy new Ninjago City. I don't know what it is but that place has a string of bad luck." Kai replied. "I'm not too sure for what Sensei G has told us about them, I have a feeling it's something far more sinister." said Cole.

Jay continue, "And may I remind us; we still don't know where Zane is. Which is why we need to survive first round so we could find him." I turn my attention towards Jay. What I see really blow my mind. "Wow, I'm speechless." Cole follow my action and gape at Jay observing him from the top to the bottom and repeat. "Ah-" Before Cole could say anything Jay is already ahead of him. "Don't look at me. I already moved on."

"Your plan is gonna get ourselves kick out." Cole continue. "Either way, it's my day off." exclaim Jay. Cole shake his head in frustration seeing his friend's attire. "Taking a day off? And here I thought a ninja never quits." said Cole. "I always thought that a ninja never steals your girlfriend." Jay counter. Cole was about to rebut but was stopped by Sensei Garmadon. "Whatever you have to say to each other say it now because hardening grudges hurts no one but yourself."

"He's right. You should be ready to fight your next opponent not each other." exclaim Lloyd. "What grudges? I already dropped it." said Cole facing the other way. "I dropped it first!" said Jay not backing down.

"Did not!"

"Did too!"

They shove each other. I sweatdrop and laugh awkwardly. "What started this fight in the first place?" I asked Kai. "It was all because of a stupid love scale that Nya used a few months ago." Kai replied. "Let me guess, instead of Jay, the love scale shows Cole?" I guessed. "Bingo! You have your answer. How are you doing this?" Kai asked.

"It's kind of easy to read when it comes to these two goofballs." I said, a smile sketched on my face. "WE HEARD THAT!" said both lightning and earth ninja. Lloyd put on a sly smirk. "You guys should get married. You know how they said...opposite attracts." said Lloyd the sly smirk still on his face. "NOT...FUNNY!" they both said. I laugh out loud.

Now everyone's attentions are on me. "Haha..uh..hi?" I said sheepishly. After that awkward moment, everyone get on with their day. What I didn't notice are the red hues on their faces. "Uhh...did I do something wrong?" I asked, a little bit confused. "Uhh...no..not at all." they said in unison stammering a little bit. I just shrugged it off. "This tournament will test their will. Either find a way for them to make peace or neither of them will move on." Sensei Garmadon sigh softly. "Knowing those two, they'll work it out. One way or another. Right, Lloyd?" I faced Lloyd. Determination on his face. "Totally." Lloyd said while in the background Kai tried to stop both of the ninjas from bickering and causing a scene.

Suddenly, the sound of the gong rang throughout the hall. "THE TOURNAMENT OF ELEMENTS CONTINUES. FUN TIME!" I grit my teeth. My body becoming tense. "WILL THE FOLLOWING MASTERS PLEASE MAKE THEIR WAY TO THEIR ASSIGN ARENA. SPEED! GRAVITY! SMOKE! NATURE! MIND! OH! AND LAST BUT HOPEFULLY NOT LEAST...."

"Haha...we all get a day off!" said Jay, too early to celebrate. "FIRE AND THE FORBIDDEN!" The others gasp. Both of our eyes widen to the size of a plate. We look at each other. Mixed emotions runs through me. Shock...Anger...Betrayed...He turn his back on our deal. I've already seen this coming. I have to start making plans. Fast. "REMEMBER...ONLY ONE...CAN REMAIN!"

Kai's POV

What?! I look at (Y/n). Her face shows nothing but rage. She turn her face to look at me. Jay is the first to break the silence, "What?! But they're short on one person!" (Y/n) sigh and said, "He's up to something. Chen wanted to break us apart. Kai..." I heard her calling and I give my full attention. "No matter what happens or what I'll do...promise me that you'll never stop me..." The way she says it...is like she'll be gone forever. "I promise...but only if you never disappear on us again." I said. She smile broadly. "You have my word!...Trust?" she said showing me her pinkie. "Trust." The others follow our action. Smiling.
