Chapter 21: The crashing of lips

Percy's pov

I'm gonna do it. I'm going to ask Nico out. I thought to myself before getting out of bed from my nap. I quickly pulled on a pair of jeans and my camp t-shirt and walked out the door. When I got to Nico's cabin I knocked on the door. I stood waiting patiently for him to answer but he didn't. It's almost 5 in the evening. He couldn't possibly still be sleeping. But when I opened the door and peaked in, there he was sleeping peacefully on.. The floor? His blankets were scattered everywhere and he was hugging his pillow. I smile at how cute the image really is before walking up to him. I was about to wake him when I hear a voice at the door. "Percy, can I see you for a moment?" Chiron said. "Sure. Let's take a walk" I say as I follow him out the door.

We walked side by side through the camp for awhile before he started. "Percy, you're needed for a quest."
"No biggie. What's the quest?" I said. At this he sighed.
"There's a child in Michigan. She's a daughter of Hecate. She's been attracting a lot of monsters and we need to her safely to camp. You and Grover will escort her here."
"Okay," I reply. "What's so bad about that?"
"We'll need you there for a month. When you get there, find out what's causing the attraction and eliminate all of the threats so that the two of you don't bring the monsters back with you. I'm sorry, my boy. You will be there for a little while. You leave at dusk. Best of luck child." he trotted away leaving me to try and grasp what he was saying. A month away from everyone. A month away from Nico. Sure, the quest was no big deal compared to, yanno, saving the world and all. They needed me all the time for little quests here and there. But I hadn't been on a long one since returning from the quest of seven. I needed to find Nico and let him know. I needed to ask him out before I go.

I walked back to Nico's cabin, only to find he wasn't there. I went to see if he was with Annabeth.
"Sorry seaweed brain. You just missed him. I think he said something about going to the fountain and iris messaging Hazel. Let me know if you find him though. He forgot his jacket in my cabin" I thanked her and walked to the fountain only to find that he was, once again, missing in action. Jason stood there talking to Reyna. When he saw me he said a quick goodbye and swiped his hand through the message. "Hey, what's up? You look upset" he said.
"I can't find Nico and I've been looking for him all day and I have to go on a quest and I need to say goodbye to him. I leave in an hour."
"How long is this quest?" he asked.
"A month" i replied. He gave a low whistle.
"Wow. Good luck man. Nico said he was going to go train. He just left about 10 minutes ago so he'll still be there. I'll see you when you get back" he hugged me.
"Bye sparky" and with that, I headed to the arena. When I got there, he was attacking a dummy with his sword. My breath caught in my throat. He was shirtless. Good gods, his chest was amazing. I stood watching for awhile, forgetting why i was here. I watched until he turned to me. He smiled, a smile that I knew was only reserved for me. I started walking towards him. And stopped when I was a couple inches away from him. He seemed to remember himself and glanced down at his bare chest and looked for his shirt which was all the way on the other side of the arena. He coughed and a small blush rose to his cheeks. "Got a staring problem Jackson?"
"Yea" i said blankly, unable to rip my eyes away. He chuckled and sat down on the bench. "So what's up?" the reason i was here. Right.
"So umm. I was just wondering if you'd maybe like to be my.. Uh.. Boyfriend." his head snapped up and he looked at me in shock.
"Your boyfriend?" he asked.
"Yea. My boyfriend" he smiled at me and nodded his head throwing his arms around my neck. I hugged him tight.
"Um..Nico?" i said
"Yea Perce" he replied.
"I'm going on a quest. I'll be gone for a month. I leave in a half hour" I felt his arms let go and he looked at me.
"I just got you and now you're leaving?" he complained.
"It's only a month. I'll be back before you know it. I promise."
"Just be careful, okay? And come back to me"
"I will always come back to you" I said.
And with that, I crashed my lips onto his.

Aannnnddddd that, my blue fishiez, was the last chapter of this badly written fan fiction. I hope you guys enjoyed reading this. I know i enjoyed writing it. I'll be starting another fanfiction here shortly and i have two options for you to pick from. Which leads me to my final question of the chapter.
