Laelah and I linked our arms together. This was literally our attempt to look really fancy, as close to royalty as we could. Well, she looked like she was going to a night club, I looked like I was going to an eighth grade dance. I think the main reason we linked arms was to keep Laelah from falling over.
"Hello, do you have a reservation?" The seating attendant asked.
"Yes, hello," She told the hostess, "We're supposed to be meeting five other guy- er, men here tonight. Do you know if they've already been seated?"
"One moment, please."
She walked away, leaving my cousin and I in silence.
"Right this way," She said, gesturing to the tables in the rest of the building.
It was a nice looking place- elaborate lighting, odd shaped chairs, cute tables, and a bar in the center. Others were wearing clothes similar to Laelah- tight form-fitting cocktail length dresses in dark shades and high heels. To be honest, I looked out of place. I was adorned with a pair of Keds and a loose dress in a light, minty green color.
We reached the table and the five stood, hugging us in a 'hello' manner.
"You look nice," Harry said as he hugged me, "It's different than the girl I saw earlier though."
"Laelah wouldn't let me wear normal clothes, she said I had to look nice," I broke away from our embrace with a slight smile.
He chuckled and we finished our introductions.
I looked at the empty spaces: one between Harry and Louis, and one between Niall and Zayn. Laelah quickly sat next to Harry and Liam without even glancing at me. I walked to the last open seat and before I could sit, Zayn pulled out my chair for me. I thanked him and took my seat, pulling the chair closer to the table.
We all sat around and began a bit of small talk. Liam was on an end, Niall was on my left, Zayn on my right, Harry in front of Niall, Louis in front of Zayn and Laelah in the middle- facing me. I looked over the menu, trying to decide what to get.
Nothing that could potentially spill...
Well, lemonade to drink, that's for sure. I kept looking over, still figuring out my order. I leaned towards Zayn as he set down his menu.
"What are you getting?"
"Um, I was thinking about some shrimp and a 'Spicy Breaded Chicken Sandwich', looks good to me," He pointed towards the sandwich and I read the description.
"Thanks, I think I'll get the same," I laughed, "Can we all get onion rings?"
"No, Kaitlyn!" Laelah protested, "Your breath will smell!"
"So? It's not like I'm going to be making out with any of you guys..."
All the guys laughed and Laelah smacked my arm.
"C'mon, Laelah, let the girl get what she wants," Harry nudged her.
"Look, I'll even pay for it," Niall spoke with a slight chuckle.
"These guys love me more than my own cousin!" I joked.
"Kaitlyn! Quit lying you know I love you," Laelah laughed, joking back.
"But that's my wife you're talking about!" Liam pointed at me.
I shot him a confused glance, "When did I agree to this? I didn't sign the papers last time I checked..."
"You didn't need to, we all know my muscles drew you in from day one."
"Where's my ring?"
Louis looked between us, "Hold up. On day one she called you a creep, remember? When I said I was good looking, she giggled along! That's the first sign of attraction!"
