After a good little while of messing around by the pool, Liam's quick lemonade run, and Zayn's trip back through the building for tons of food, we were all eating at a little picnic table on the pool deck.
"So," I swallowed my watermelon slice, "What are you guys doing this weekend?"
"Well, Thursday through next Wednesday, all of us are going back to our families. We all like to schedule around the same time each year... Just works out I guess," Louis told me.
"All but me," Niall shoved another handful of chips into his mouth.
I cocked my head to the side as I spit a seed into a bowl, "How come?"
"Mine's on holiday till next Friday, but I'm going to see them after that, and Liam," He pointed a finger towards Liam, "Is supposed to come this time, unlike last time..."
Liam belted out a quick laugh.
"Oh, right," he recomposed himself, "Sorry mate."
"Why're you asking?" Harry inquired.
"Well, coincidentally, I'm leaving Friday and coming back Monday-well more like one A.M. on Tuesday- but I've got an extra plane ticket, and I wanted to know if one of you guys would like to come with me."
"Why isn't Laelah going?" Louis came back into the conversation.
"Work," She stated bluntly.
"But anyway, it's just the few days and you have two options: a) Come to some sort of family reunion with me or b) just skip out on it all and enjoy Florida."
We kept eating for a few seconds before Niall spoke up again.
"Well, I'll go. More time in the sun means more chance of getting rid of this white glow I've got going on," He stuck his arm out for us to see which sent us into a laugh.
"Alrighty then. I can give you more information if you need it, just ask."
He nodded, going back to his plate of food.

I was sat on my bed and suddenly, a wildebeest trampled through my door, knocking over two pairs of my shoes and flopped to the floor before getting up again and climbing by my feet. This wildebeest- also known as Laelah Parker- then smooshed me before I could blink and laid on top of me while staring at my face.
"Hi," She said like this situation was nothing out of the blue.
"Well howdy," I spoke flatly.
"So, taking Mr. Ireland with you to meet you family, eh?" She waggled her eyebrows.
"Are you trying to suggest something? Because you were the one who told me to ask one of them," I squirmed.
"I didn't think you'd actually do it!"
"Well why not?"
I don't really get why she's making such a big deal about it. Oh goodness, if she's been reading romance novels or sappy chick-flicks-
"Because you are so perfect for each other!" She gushed quickly.
I knew it.
"Laelah, calm down, it's not a honeymoon. Actually, it's more like a 'come with me on the flight and then you can just leave me and my weird family alone until we have to meet up at the airport again' sort of thing."
"Good point..." She agreed.
I squirmed again, "So uh, can you get off now?"
"Oh sure," She rolled over.
