"Alright, Susan, remember to shampoo every other day for two weeks. We don't want that color to come out already," I said, smiling as I handed the woman back her credit card.

She smiled sweetly, waving as she exited the salon. "Thank you, darling!"
I returned the wave, before looking down at the computer. I scanned the schedule, mentally marking off the clients I had finished already.

Glancing at the clock, I smiled as I realized that my next appointment was one of my favorite regulars. Standing, I ran my eyes over the lobby, my smile growing as I spot the familiar man. "Avi," I called, moving towards him.

The man looked up from his magazine, smiling and standing as he saw me.
"Mitch," he responded, hugging me.
I hugged him back, before leading him towards my station. "It's been so long since I've seen you," I told him. "How have you been?"

"Busy," he replied, sitting on the chair. "Flying back and forth from city to city."

I clasped the apron around his neck, not needing to ask what he wanted done. Avi had been a regular of mine since I had first graduated beauty school, and only went to me for his usual cuts.

Ever since I had learned to cut hair, I had specialized with men's styles. I had even worked at a barber shop for about a year, learning the trick of the trade for shaving. So with all of my experience, it only made sense that I was the male specialist at my new salon.

"Which cities this time?" I asked Avi.

"Here and New York," he told me, watching in the mirror as I started the trim with scissors.

"Oh, the two big producer cities," I commented. "You working on something?"

Avi was a producer, working to try to climb the ladder. I had seen some of his shorts, and I could tell he was a fairly good screenwriter. Anyone who thought differently were idiots.

"Yeah, actually," he replied, smiling. "I'm starting a new tv show, and I think it's really gonna take off."

"That's fantastic!" I cried, grabbing the shaver. "What's this one about?"

"It's about a brother and a sister, Samantha and Dean who hunt monsters, ghosts, vampires, even demons," he told me. I smiled as I could see the sparkle in his eyes, the excitement in him for the show idea. "Their Dad goes missing, and they try to find him, while Samantha tries to avenge her boyfriend's and mother's deaths."

"Wow, that sounds amazing," I replied, not lying in the slightest. "What are you going to name it?"

"Supernatural," Avi told me, smiling as the buzz of the razor started. "And actually, we're gonna start filming the Pilot episode soon."

"Already?"" I questioned.

"Yeah, and...I kind of wanted to make you an offer."

I turned off the razor, looking at him, feeling my heart start to race. "An offer?"

Avi nodded, smiling. "When I started putting all of this show together, I couldn't help but remember how you finished school for hair styling and theater makeup."

I was shocked he remembered that information at all. It was not a big deal, and such a small detail about me, and nothing had ever come from it.

Growing up, I had loved make up and hair design. I constantly got play makeup for my birthday and Christmas, and even now, I was somewhat impressed with my skills back then. But as I grew, hair styling seemed to be the better option.

"Are you offering me a job?" I whispered.

Avi nodded. "I want you to do hair and makeup for the show, Mitch." I gasped, the man continuing. "You don't have to give me an answer now, or even this week."
