I bit my lip, watching Scott pace his room, the phone to his ear. "No, Mom, I... Yes... No... Yes."
I laughed softly, resting my chin on my knees, my arms wrapped around my legs. Scott and I had woken up at the same time miraculously, and had laid in bed for almost an hour, just talking, cuddling. That was, until his mother called.
"Yes, he's right here," Scott stated, glancing at me. He smiled as he met my eyes, before answering her again. He sighed, running his hands through his hair. "He's been listening to me the entire time, Mom... If it makes you feel any better I haven't met his parents either."
I laughed as he groaned. "Of course it doesn't matter...Listen, how about we video chat later this week? I'll be there, and you can meet Mitch."
He fell down onto the bed again, beside me, meeting my eyes. "Okay, perfect," he said, smiling. "Love you too, Mom."
He hung up the phone, groaning. "Your mom sounds like a talker," I commented, smirking slightly.
"I love her, I really really do," Scott replied. "But when she gets upset, she does rant."
I laughed, laying down beside him. "All moms do," I replied, running my hands through his hair. "I can't wait to talk with your parents."
He chuckled. "They're more than excited to talk with you too."
"So I guess this means you should at least talk with my parents," I replied, looking at him.
Scott laughed, smiling widely. "I don't have to soon, Da Vinci. That's up to you."
I smiled, saying softly, "You're the best boyfriend, you know that?"
"I try," he replied, before leaning over and kissing me.

I let out a shaky breath, turning to look at the dress. "No, see, this is too bright," I said, shaking my head, reaching back for the zipper.
"We are gonna find you a dress for this party if it's the last thing I do," Kevin stated, before moving to the many dresses still waiting to be tried on. "I'm going to just take out all the red ones now."
"Good idea," I muttered, taking off the dress. I couldn't help but see this bright red without seeing flashes of the writing...the words from Ralph.
"So, how is it staying with Scott?" Kevin asked, glancing at me, wagging his eyebrows.
I laughed, slapping his arm. "Shut up. We haven't...done it yet."
"What?" He cried, his jaw dropping. "You haven't?!"
"Shut up!" I whispered. "Scott and Todrick are just outside!"
"Fine, but really?" He pushed. "You've been together for six months, Mitchie. This is...the longest you've waited with a guy."
"I know," I agreed, sighing as I slipped on a green dress, this one longer. "But, I just..."
"It's Ralph, isn't it?" Kevin asked, meeting my eyes in the mirror.
I nodded slowly, looking at the dress. It was pretty, gorgeous really. But it...I had worn a similar dress, in style and color, to my first date with Ralph.
"It's getting harder and harder to...forget him, Kev," I whispered, taking off the dress.
"Hey, I know," Kevin said, making me face him. "Ralph ruined...a lot for you, and I get that. But Scott...he's such a great guy."
I smiled at the thought of him, nodding. "Yeah, he is."
"See? Even me mentioning him makes you smile," Kevin continued, his grin growing. "He's a great, great guy, and someday...as soon as Ralph is gone, forever, Scott will change everything. Hell, he already has."
