Scott took slow breaths, keeping his eyes closed as he buried his nose into Mitch's hair. They had been laying in his bed for an hour at least, but Scott didn't really care. He was holding Mitch, comforting him, and that was all he cared about.
They were just...holding each other. Staying close, neither of them said a word. Eventually, Scott could feel Mitch's breaths deepen, his body relaxing against his. Looking down at him, Scott could easily tell he was asleep.
Smiling, he closed his eyes again, relaxing as well. Seeing Mitch calm, even in his sleep, warmed his heart. What that idiot, Ralph, had done to him was horrible, and he didn't deserve it, let alone anyone that it ever happened to.
Scott just wanted Mitch happy, safe.
Whether that was with him or not. Though he had to admit, he hoped it was with him.Taking a deep breath, he kissed the top of Mitch's head, pulling away as he shifted.
He smiled as he blinked slowly, looking at his chest. "Sleep well?" Scott asked.

Mitch's POV
I slowly opened my eyes, blinking to see Scott's chest. I could still feel his arms around me, and my arms were still around him.
"Sleep well?"
I looked up to meet his bright blue eyes. I felt confused, until I realized that I had fallen asleep, in his arms.
Sitting up, I blushed instantly. "Oh my gosh, I am so sorry!"
Scott chuckled, sitting up with me. "Da Vinci, you don't have to apologize."
"But, I just-"
"I know," he interrupted, smiling. "But you needed rest. And I'm glad I could help you with that a little bit."
My blush was still deep, covering my whole face. "Thank you, Scooter."
"No problem," he said, standing from my bed. "I'll let you actually sleep now."
As he moved towards the door, I called out, "Wait." He stopped, looking back at me.
Part of me wanted to ask him to stay, to not leave me that night. But I knew that was ridiculous, that he would never agree to that.
"Can you come...get me in the morning?" I asked softly. "So we can..get breakfast together? I just don't..."
Scott smiled, reaching out to take my hand in his. "You don't have to explain," he said softly. "And I wouldn't mind coming to get you at all. You don't have to be alone, at all, okay?"
"Thank you," I whispered, smiling.
He smiled back, squeezing my hand. "You are more than welcome. Goodnight."I smiled, watching him leave my trailer. Taking a deep breath, I realized that I felt calm, relaxed...safe. And Scott was the only reason I felt like that. So, as I laid down to sleep for the night, I let my mind wander to Scott, and how different he was from Ralph.
As I fell into deep sleep, I wondered if maybe things would work with Scott, in a way that they had never could have even aspired to be with Ralph. And all I could do now was hope.

Scott shut the trailer door, letting out a slow breath. "There you are!"
He turned, chuckling to see Kirstin moving towards him. "Hey," Scott said, sliding his hands into his pockets.
"I was looking for you," Kirstin commented, glancing at Mitch's trailer. "Everything okay?""Why do you ask?" Scott responded.
"Mitch looked...scared at the meeting," Kirstin replied. "I saw you, and you looked..worried, protective. Everything okay?"Scott sighed, running his hands through his hair. "I...it's not my place to tell you. But...just know, that if for some reason I'm not around, in no way whatsoever should you let Ralph Bryans near him."
"Ralph? The new Camera guy?" Kirstin questioned, raising an eyebrow, worry lining her face. "Why?"
"I can't tell you," Scott stated. "Just...don't let him near Mitch, unless someone else is with him."
"Okay," Kirstin agreed, looking at Mitch's trailer door, before looking back at her friend. "Are you okay?"
Scott nodded, smiling. "Yeah, I am."
Kirstin furrowed her eyebrows, smiling slowly. "Something changed, didn't it?""I..." Scott sighed, running his hands through his hair. "Maybe."
Kirstin chuckled, knowing without asking what it was, and she knew not to push her friend. "Come on, we can still relax a little before we have to crash."
Slapping Scott's shoulder, they both moved back towards the large group. Everyone welcomed them back easily, Kirstin joining right into the conversation they were having about the show. Scott added comments when he could, trying as hard as he could to focus on the conversation.
But he couldn't help it, his eyes were locked on Ralph across the party. He just couldn't get the man out of his head. The thought of him hurting Mitch in any way, it fueled the anger growing inside him. Scott was almost positive the only reason he didn't push through the crowds was the thought of Mitch sleeping peacefully, safe from the Ralph bastard.
Rubbing his eyes, Scott shook his head, trying to clear the thought of Ralph Bryans from his head.
"You alright, Scott?" Jeffrey Dean Morgan asked.
"Yeah, just tired," Scott replied, smiling. "I'm gonna head off to bed."
"Okay, sleep well," he replied smiling.
"See you tomorrow!" Kirstin called as Scott moved towards his trailer. Scott just chuckled, more than ready to let sleep take him.-/::\-
Mitch's POV
I hummed softly, stepping out of my trailer. Locking the door behind me, I turned to see Scott walking towards me, making my smile grow. "Morning," I said.
"Sleep well?" he asked, his smile wide.
"Great, actually," I told him, titling my head. I would never tell him, but the only reason I had slept as good as I did was because I had dreams of him all night. "How about you?""Great," he said. "Talked a little more with everyone last night, but then went to bed. Needed rest for today."
"Of course, we have a busy day ahead," I agreed.
"So, I wanted to ask," Scott commented. "Your team is pretty big now, how are your responsibilities all split up?"
I laughed softly, biting my lip as we both moved towards the small cafeteria. "It's kinda complicated," I told him.
"That's okay," he responded. "I can keep up."
I laughed again, smiling. "Well, I guess the main break up of responsibilities is that I get to take care of you and Kirstin while running the team."
"Really?" he replied, his grin growing, before he coughed. "I mean, that must be hard to process. Both of us troublemakers and everything else."
I laughed, bumping my shoulder against his. "Oh shut up."
