Scott sighed, falling into his chair, his script in his hands. He flips to the scene they were working on, reading over the lines. He thought it was going well, but David, the director, kept having them repeat it. So, when David called for a break, Scott wanted to read over the script again, make sure he was doing all he could to get it right.
He looked up as he heard a soft laugh, smiling as Betty made her way to him. Scott had met Betty years ago, when he finally decided to start acting. He had sat beside her in the waiting room for auditions, and they had just started talking. She had been dating a guy at the time, and Scott was partially disappointed. But now, he was glad they were just friends.
"What?" he asked.
"Look behind you," she replied.
Turning in his chair, Scott smiled softened as he saw Mitch not far behind him, playing and laughing with Adair Tishler, the young actress playing Julia in the movie. A wide smile was on Mitch's face, and Betty and Scott watched as he picked Adair up easily, spinning her around, Adair laughed loudly."He's good with kids," Betty commented.
"Yeah, he is," Scott agreed softly. He had never really seen Mitch with kids, playing with them or just around them. But watching him now, he knew without a doubt that he was good with kids.
"So...how long till you propose?" Betty asked.
Scott sputtered, looking at her. "Betty, what are you talking about?" he asked, his eyes wide.
She laughed again, smiling. "I can see you love him, Scott. There's no hiding it."
"And I don't!" he replied. "We're living together, we work together, and we have told each other we love each other."
"So, the next step is proposing," Betty stated, shrugging.
Scott sighed, looking back to Mitch for a moment. "Listen, I'm not saying that I'll never marry him, but...just not right now."
"Why?" She asked, throwing up her arms. "Your one year anniversary is coming up! Perfect time to pop the question!"
"That's partially why," Scott answered. "We've only been together a year!"
"I've known people who have gotten married on their year anniversary's," Betty replied, folding her arms.
"And there's nothing wrong with that," Scott responded, sighing. "Mitch and I...went through a lot together, with Ralph." Betty's shoulders instantly feel heavy at the sound of the psycho's name, "And while I know that brought us together more, and made us stronger, I..." Scott looked back at his boyfriend, smiling as he saw him smile with Adair. "I want us together, in a happy point for us both."
Betty sighed softly, making Scott look back at her. "Okay, I can't blame you for that," she told him, smiling. "Mitch is a lucky boy."
"No, I'm the lucky one," Scott replied.
His friend laughed, her smile growing. "Is that just you two's thing?" she asked."What do you mean?" Scott replied.
"Second time I've heard you say that," she stated. "I hear it anymore, I'm gonna scream."
Scott laughed as David called, "Alright, back into positions!"

I glanced at the clock, sighing as I saw how late it was. I had just finished cleaning up Betty for a special scene, and I knew that Scott was probably already asleep in the trailer we both shared. I was looking forward to some alone time between us, but once he was asleep, he was out. No waking Scott.
Besides, I still had to clean up everything and lock up, then take the 15 minute walk back to the trailers.
