We Need To Talk

I tucked a stray strand of hair behind my ear, slowly moving down the sidewalk of downtown Vancouver, my arms wrapped around myself as I looked over the crowd. I didn't really want to be out and about, my mind was still so full and still a tangled mess. But it was still good to go out, have the sun on my face. Plus, it got me away from the set, from Scott and Ralph.

As much as I just wanted to confront Scott, I knew I couldn't. The kiss, what we were both feeling, we both needed to think it over. And I needed to do that away from the set.

Ralph now, that was a different story. I didn't want to see him again, at all. I didn't want to be in a 20 foot radius of him, I didn't want to think about him.

I stopped as my phone rang, pulling it out of my pocket. I smiled, seeing that Kevin was calling me, answering it, "Well hi."

"Hi!" He cried, a happy tone in his voice.

"I wasn't expecting you to call me till later," I said.

"I know, but I got off early," he explained, laughing. "To make up for staying three hours later yesterday."
I laughed, smiling as I started walking again. "Well, that's always good."

"Oh yeah," he agreed. "So, what's up? Your text was vague."

Taking a deep breath, I asked, "Do you remember Ralph?"

"You mean the bastard that hit you?" Kevin asked, his voice going from happy to angry in an instant.

"Yeah, him," I told him. "Well...he's one of the camera men of set."

"WHAT?!"

"Ouch, don't burst my eardrum," I complained.

"No, give me all the details," he demanded.

So I told him everything, about Ralph and Scott. It felt good to really get all of it off my chest, and Kevin had always been a good listener when it was needed.

"Oh my god, he kissed you then ran?!"
I laughed slightly. "That's what you're focusing on?"

"At the moment, yes," he replied instantly. "Now, have you tried talking to him? At all?"

Sighing, I told him, "No. Not yet at least."

"Then what are you doing talking with me?!" He yelled. "You should be tracking him down!"

"I..I need to think," I stated. "You need to think while talking with him!" Kevin cried.

"No, I kinda think alone first, maybe by talking with my best friend," I replied.

"Aww, I love you too," he replied.
I laughed, before sighing. "I guess...it's just still hard to take in."

"Okay, we'll make it simple," Kevin said. "How was the kiss?"

"Amazing," I answered. "Just... perfect, and better than any first kiss I've had with a guy."

"Alright, so now building off of that answer, how did the kiss make you feel?" He questioned. "Special? Good? Loved?"

Biting my lip, I replied. "All of the above? I...I don't know how else to describe it, other than...I don't want to kiss another guy for a long time."

"Okay, see, that's good!" He cried. "So, final question here, Mitchie. How does the thought of kissing Scott as much as you want sound?"

I stopped again on the sidewalk, repeating the question over and over in my mind. Leaning against a wall by my side, I slowly smiled. "It sounds perfect," I whispered.

Kevin laughed, before saying, "Well then, you should probably talk to Scott."

I laughed, my smile wide. "Have I told you how amazing you are?"

"Completely amazing," he replied. "Now go get him! And call me when you have time!"

Laughing, I put my phone away as Kevin hung up, turning back around to the route I had taken from the set.
"Now, let's just hope I can talk to him," I muttered.

Scott groaned, rubbing the back of his neck as the crew all split for lunch break.

Moving towards his trailer, he sighed, his thoughts moving towards Mitch. He had been gone all day, which didn't surprise him. After what Ralph had done last night, he deserved a day off.

Speaking of Ralph, Avi had reported that Ralph was suspended for the next two days, which meant he would get a four day weekend. Scott was almost jealous, almost. But this meant that he was at least being punished.

Sighing, he shut the door to his trailer, grabbing a water bottle from his fridge. As he popped off the top, knocking sounded on his door. "Scooter?"

Sighing, he sat on the bed, rubbing his eyes. "Yeah, Kirstie. Come on in."

Kirstin stepped inside, instantly sitting beside Scott. "How are ya feeling?" She asked.

"Girl, you just get right to the loaded questions," Scott muttered, sipping his water.

"Only way to do it," Kirstin replied instantly. "Now answer me." Sighing, Scott stared at the wall. "I...I don't know. I..."

"You can't avoid him forever," Kirstin commented.

"I don't want to avoid him," Scott replied instantly, looking at Kirstin. "I just...don't know what I want to say to him."

"I don't blame you," Kirstin said. "But you kinda forced yourself into a corner, here."

"Yeah, I did," Scott muttered, rubbing the back of his neck again.

"Okay, I won't force you to talk or anything," Kirstin said, standing. "But if you want to talk, I'm here, alright?"

Smiling, Scott nodded. "Thanks, Kirstie."

I bit my lip, moving down the line of trailers. I was moving towards mine if anybody asked, but really I just wanted to see Scott. We both really needed to talk.

I stopped as his trailer door opened, Scott stepping out. He shut the door behind him, but stopped as he saw me.
"Mitch, um, hi," he said, facing me.

"Hi, Scott," I replied smiling slightly. "How was filming today?"

"Good, good," he answered. "Got a lot done....we all missed you."

"I'll be back tomorrow, I just needed a break," I replied.

"Oh, no, I totally get it," he stated, nodding as he slid his hands into his pockets. "Totally. How are you feeling, by the way?"

"Better," I responded. "Some time alone...helped clear my head."

"Good, that's great," he replied, giving me a small smile.

Letting out a breath, I looked at him. "Listen, Scott, we need to talk about this morning."

He sighed, looking away for a moment before meeting my eyes. "Yeah, we do."
