"Happy birthday Nika!" Her roommate and best friend exclaimed before jumping on top of her. Nicki let out an exasperated gasp and coughed a bit before pushing the her friend off herself.

"Oh my god really TT?" Nicki pulled her blanket over her head. She just wanted to go back to sleep and have a late morning before doing anything else.

"Girl get up. Today is a special day now you got an hour to be ready. We're going out for breakfast and then we're going shopping and to get pampered and pretty and while we're gone, Mama Carol is gonna be making dinner for you." TT snatched Nicki's blanket back and put it across the room, forcing her to get up.

"I hate you." Nicki pouted as she walked to her bathroom.

"I love you too boo." TT smacked Nicki's ass as she walked past.

"TT I really don't feel like being around a bunch of people today." Nicki grumbled as TT pulled into her mother's driveway. TT knew why Nicki was really sad.

"Does this have anything to do with Drake not talking to you in the last couple weeks?" She asked and Nicki looked away with tears in her eyes.

"He promised that he would talk to me every chance he got." She said and felt TT take her hand. All Nicki really wanted to do was talk to Drake on her birthday at least. He was away fighting in the army, and had been away for about a year and four months, Nicki missed him the most of anyone but ever since they were little he had always talked about wanting to do this.

"Which he will NiNi, babe you know that he gets busy over there and its dangerous but you also know that he would literally force you to have fun." TT said and Nicki giggled at the thought.

"Would probably make a fool of himself for me." She said giggling at all the things he would probably do for her, whether it be her birthday or not, just to make her happy.

"Yes, because you know he loves you, now Onika shut up and be grateful we love you enough to do this for your birthday. Plus you're gonna be kissing my ass after this." She got out of the car and helped Nicki get out since she was blindfolded.

"We'll see about all that." Nicki bumped TT with her hip.

"Aye don't be bumping me with that thing, might land in Australia," TT joked and Nicki made face before laughing as well. The two friends walked up the sidewalk and then up the snowy stairs to her mother's porch. TT took Nicki's blindfold off.

"You had to blindfold me so we could walk up the driveway for a dinner with my family?" Nicki asked and TT sighed.

"Girl would you just enjoy this?" TT chastised and pushed open the door. It was dark but as soon as she hit the lights, she was hit by a loud "Surprise!" From her family and all of her friends, shocking her.

Nicki gasped, completely overwhelmed. Music started playing and everyone greeted her with Happy birthdays and hugs. There was even a table of gifts.

"Happy birthday baby." Her mother hugged her.

"Mommy when did you have time to do this?" Nicki asked her. "You didn't have to go through so much trouble for my birthday." Nicki smiled because they all knew how she really planned on spending her birthday, just talking to Drake and maybe even getting him to sing her to sleep like he always use to when they were younger.

"Nonsense Onika. You're my baby and I don't want you to be moping tonight. Have you spoken to Aubrey?"

"No, he hasn't called yet." Nicki pouted. "Maybe he forgot it was my birthday, he hasn't called in weeks."
