"Aye Barbie you betta get cha boy before he does somethin stupid." Nicki heard a raspy voice warn and she looked at Wayne confused as he puffed smoke out his mouth

"What? " She asked confused. "Nigga you high," she reasoned with a smile but he pointed over at the tall man who was sipping something from his ever famous styrofoam cups. She giggled shaking her head thinking that she should have known that it would be him sitting there. "Alright, but what makes you think that he'll go?" Nicki asked and Wayne just looked at her.

"Never had a problem before." he reminded and Nicki nodded her head before turning to Wayne and kissing his cheek telling him that she'd see him later. She began to walk off in the other direction but something stopped her.

"Wait," Wayne called and grabbed her hand making Nicki turn just as he gently let her hand go. "I think yall should really try to move on and try again." He shared and Nicki sighed.

"Wayne..." she began but he held up his hand to keep her from speaking.

"Onika, just give him a real chance. Don't push him away again, it nearly broke him and hurt all of us."

"I know," she looked over her shoulder to check on him, and he looked happy as he laughed with Kevin and Trey. "But really, give him a chance to love you Nic. You know he'll make you happy if he gets the opportunity." She let that Wayne had said resonate in her mind, really taking in what had been said to her.

If anyone knew about their situation best it was Wayne, and he'd gotten the chance to watch their relationship grow from the moment they stepped onto that tour bus and said their first hellos. No matter what he always knew that Drake would make Nicki happy, as a close friend he who knew of the heartache experienced by both man and woman, he wanted what was best for the both of them and felt that they were what was and is best for each other. Wayne knew from the moment Drake saw Nicki, he would be who she needed to protect her from the rest of the world and always, as subtly as he could, Wayne tried to push them towards each other.

Putting Drake on the bunk above Nicki's, always letting them go off together as their relationship grew.

"You ain't goin soft on me now are you Weezy?" Nicki asked in response to his advisory in order to keep the mood light but Wayne knew her better than that. He put his hands up in defense.

"Nah never that." He said and Nicki hugged him. "Take care of him, can't afford to lose a dude like him, makes me too much money." He said and Nicki laughed as she let him go.

"We just investments huh?"

"Yeah, you and him makin me richer," he answered before light kiss was placed on his cheek.

"Goodbye," she said and heard Wayne yell after her.

"You and Drizzy better make me them rap prodigy babies tonight!" He said making Nicki giggle before she slowly walked away and approached the tall man at the other side of the room. He sat in a chair by himself which was just as she expected since most of the time he kept to himself but could still be the life of the part.

It was dark but he know Onika anywhere just by the shape and feel of her body. She sat down on him and felt strong arms wrap around her sweet small frame. A strange, familiar feeling washed over her. A feeling that she use to fear, but it was also a feeling she missed. It something that only he could provide her, and even though she'd looked for a substitute no one could ever compare to him, just like how no one could ever compare to her in his life.

After all that had happened he thought that he would be able to let her go but seeing her with another man, an ex for that matter, infuriated him with jealousy reminding him of how much he loved and adored her. But it also made him feel selfish, each time she wanted to move forward something held him back.
