Chapter 10

~Mikayla~

"I'm going to call you Kayla for now on." Jason commented after a brief moment of awkwardness.

"Why?" I asked him.

"Because it's easier to say than Mikayla." He explained.

"It's so hard just to say Mikayla?" I arched my eyebrow.

"Yes it is." Jason replied.

"Well I just won't answer." I noted.

"You will. I know." He smiled. I rolled my eyes at him.

We finally reached the dorm and we stepped into pure blackness. I went into my room and changed into my pajamas and then I went to go make coffee. I was about to take a sip when Jason walks by and just takes my coffee away from me.

"Hey!" I yell.

"Hey." He says as if greeting me.

"Forget you." I tell him and start making myself another coffee.

"I forget myself all the time." He replies.

"That doesn't even make sense!" I tell him.

"Do I ever make any sense?" He smirked at my confusion.

"No." I admit.

"Exactly." He says and after I finish making my milk coffee I got to my room.

~Carson~

Mikayla was so pissed at me. I had left her to go take my ex., Olive, back to her dorm. She had just gotten a call that her dad had passed away. Right when we were at the party so she needed me but Mikayla didn't understand that. I was going to walk her back to the dorm but Jason took her instead.

I was mad at her for not understanding but I didn't give her a real explanation so I was more mad at myself.

"Tomorrow we'll talk about it but right now just get some sleep." I hushed Olive into getting some rest. She nodded and finally went to sleep.

Once she did I slipped out through the door since she lived alone in the dorm her bed was in the same room as the living room and kitchen just like a real dorm.

"What were you doing in there?" Lizlee asked me once I fully closed the door and was outside scaring me.

"I was walking Olive back to her dorm." I explained.

"Mhmm." She tersely said and then walked back to Aiden who was standing there waiting for her.

I just thought that Carson still had feelings for Olive. She was the one that he hooked up with after he broke up with me. They became serious too until she cheated on him but still he was there with Olive. I knew Mikayla was pissed at him.

Aiden walked me back to my dorm and before he left back to his campus he kissed me shyly and quickly. It was our first kiss not counting the dare. I smiled embarrassed afterward and then went inside the dorm.

"Want some coffee?" Mikayla offered holding a cup of coffee the minute I entered.

"Sure?" I wasn't certain what to answer. She looked jumpy and had a huge smile on her face.

"She's hyper. Don't mind her." Jason said not looking up from reading a book on the couch.

"Oh." I answered. I went into my room to change with Mikayla following me.

"So did you have fun? Did Aiden kiss you? Is he a horrible dancer? Is he sweet? Is he really British?" Mikayla asked all at once while turned to the wall while I changed.
