"Yes Ms. Matthews?" The choir teacher called on me as I raised my hand.
"When is the Show Choir competition?" I asked. Mikayla made a confused expression not having any idea what I was talking about.
"Ah yes! I've been meaning to tell the class about this. It will be in the last week of December after Christmas and I will pick two main female and male singers. Mikayla, Lizlee I want you two to be my main female singers in the competition." The teacher explained and I could feel myself getting angrier by each second. I raised my hand up again.
"Yes?" He called on me again.
"But last year you said I might have a chance of being one of the main female vocalists!" I complained.
"Oh that's right I did. Well what do you suggest?" He implied.
"A singing duel." I answered smiling in confidence.
"Well a duel is between two people so who will those two people be?" He asked crossing his arms.
"Mikalya and me." I replied looking straight at her. She just scowled.
"Ms. Robson are you willing to do the duel and allow the class to vote?" The teacher asked her.
"Yes." She answered confidently and looking at me as well.
"Then a singing duel it shall be." He modestly informed and then walked back to the center of the stage to talk some more of the competition while I thought of what song to sing.

Lizlee was still mad at me for getting into her argument with Aiden yesterday. I was only trying to help! Can you blame a guy for trying?
"Hey." I told Lizlee as we were leaving choir class. She totally ignored me and left without a word.
"Dude what did you do to make her mad?" Jason asked coming to stand next to me. He was smiling in amusement so I punched him on the shoulder in a playful way.
"Why is your cousin so hard to get?!" I yelled in frustration.
"Cause she's stubborn! It runs in the family! No I'm just playing. She's not over Aiden duh!" He said pointing out the obvious.
"Who asked you?" I implied.
"You did!" He noted. I just rolled my eyes since apparently he didn't know when someone was joking.
"I'm just going back to the dorm." He said leaving me alone in the choir room.
"Hey don't leave me alone in here!" I yelled after him.
"I didn't leave you! You stayed behind!" He retorted from the hallway where people stopped to give him weird stares. They didn't care that he was being loud since everyone in this school is but that he didn't make sense.
"That doesn't even make sense!" I commented back.
"We all I know I never make sense!" Jason answered before I ran to catch up to him.

Why did she hate me so much? I just wanted one simple answer. Why? She wanted to go against me to see who got the main female part in the Show Choir competition. Did I even want to be the main female singer along with Lizlee since apparently she already got the title? I don't think I did. I hated being under the spotlight and that was not a way to avoid that but I also wanted to win just to show it off to Angela since I'm mean like that.
