~Jason~
"How come she hasn't talked at all since the plane ride?" I asked Kayla as we three sat in the back of a taxi on our way to my house.
"Cause she doesn't feel like talking. Duh!" She answered as if it was obvious. I rolled my eyes but I saw her mouth something to me. Tell you later was what she had said.
It stayed quiet for the rest of the car ride but finally we arrived in front of our porch. We got out and Mikayla just stared at it.
"You guys have a big house. I imagined more of a smaller house." She commented. I just brushed by her to get our suitcases from the trunk while Lizlee paid the taxi driver. Then we all got our own suitcases and made our way up the steps that led to the door. The taxi drove away and before I could knock my mom had already opened the door.
"Hey mom!" I greeted as she gave me a bear hug then going to give one to Lizlee and even Mikayla.
"You must be Mikayla." My mom looked at Mikayla.
"Yes and nice to meet you Mrs. Grimmie." Mikayla held out her hand and my mom took it. I gawked at her as I completely didn't know Mikayla had manners.
"Now close your mouth dear and let's all go inside. Your aunts and cousins are already here." My mom ordered since it was 7 p.m. over here. We had arrived late.
As we entered Mikayla looked around while I greeted everyone of my aunt and uncles. My closest guy cousins were here which I was glad for. Even Lizlee seemed much better as she started talking to our other aunts. This time she was enjoying it since mostly people from my mom's side had come which meant they were related to her as well. My dad took all of our suitcases and took them to my room for now.
"Who's the chick?" My cousin, Ethan, who was my age asked as he smirked in Mikayla's direction. She was looking around uncomfortably and was still standing by the door.
"Now don't just stand there! Come on!" I heard my mom order as she dragged Mikayla into the kitchen.
"Oh that's Mikayla. She is one of our new roommates and since she had nowhere to go for the holiday I made her come." I explained.
"Thank you cousin! I know who will make my holidays even better." Ethan grinned deviously. That was the problem with him, he was a major flirt. I rolled my eyes while I internally gagged.
"Good luck with that. She won't let anyone close to her and I'm warning you, she's violent." I warned him.
"Yeah okay. Sure. A girl, resisting me? Pshh like that's gonna happen." He repsonded.
"Fine. Don't believe me. Go flirt with her right now." I dared him.
"Okay I will." He smirked and then headed towards Mikayla who looked awkward. Yeah she was socially awkward. I got closer so I can listen. She was in the hallway standing alone.
"Hey. What's your name?" He started off. Man this guy was lame.
"I think you already know so don't even try flirting with me because what Jason said is true. Oh and don't act so surprised because I'm gonna give you a heads up, don't dare touching me!" She warned since he started tracing a finger up and down her arm.
"Well I already am. So what are you gonna do about it?" He challenged her. Then she hit him in the groin and then she bent down to whisper something.
"Look I don't let anyone tell me what to do or treat me like shit so back off and leave me the hell alone. And one more thing, you don't know how to whisper!" She whispered loudly as well in a mocking tone.
