~Mikayla~
The next day passed in a blur. It was the usual and every class was giving us a break since it was the last week of school.
It was finally lunch and Lizlee and I were ready to sing. Many people knew about the traditional singing on the last week so they all looked excited. I was pretty nervous but I stayed at the corner where I would start and Lizlee would begin on the stage up at front.
As the headlight landed on her she started to sing. I was scared since my part was coming up but I sucked it up anyways.
We were singing How You Love Me Now by Hey Monday since we thought it was a really good energetic song. It wasn't made for a duet but oh well! We made it into one anyways! And we also decided to sing this song to dedicate it to Hey Monday and hope they get off being on hiatus soon.
Lizlee cried when she found that out. I was sad as well but she was always the bigger fan. I just wanted them back because they were such a great band! Okay now I wanna cry! I am not bipolar!
I started at once. My cue was ready and I started singing. Everyone looked back and were surprised but then they cheered on.
Save
Save it for her
I'm not gonna hear
Your reasons and please-just-take-me-backs
We never were right
Don't waste your breath
You crashed and you're on your own tonight
I sang that part but then Lizlee and I sang together. I got on one of the tables with one of the helps of a random guy while Lizlee got on another. People started getting off their seats and dancing and going crazy all around the cafeteria. There was a lot of smiling and I saw the guys in the back grinning like fools. Oh they were so proud of us!
The high note came on and Lizlee hit it perfectly. I let her have that part so people can actually see what a great singer she was. Nobody seemed to be judging her and were actually enjoying themselves.
The song finally finished and Lizlee and I stood in the center while everyone else broke into a roar of an applause. Then we put the microphones back while everybody went back to talking and just laying back.
"Lizlee right? Well you were amazing!" A random girl complimented her. I walked away so she can have all the glory since I hated it.
"You were great too." Carson said from behind me. I jumped but couldn't help but smile when I saw him looking shy.
"Thanks. Really I mean it." I replied earnestly. Then he walked away to go back with Jacob and Jason. Jacob kept on looking at Lizlee and I just couldn't help but think he was crazy over her. It wasn't a simple crush and after Lizlee told me what happened with her and Aiden yesterday well I looked at him with sympathy.
He was just gonna get hurt. Funny how it would be by Lizlee! Wasn't I doing the same to Carson though? Ugh stupid drama!
I left the cafeteria when Jason scared me this time.
"Ready for our vacation?!" He taunted me.
"No." I answered flatly.
"Ah come on you know it will be fun!" He teased.
"Do you hate me?" I asked while stopping from walking.
"Haven't we been over this already? The answer was yes." He smiled.
