~Mikayla~
We continued searching for 30 minutes and still nothing.
"Hey I think I found something." Aiden said looking at an old album and a journal.
"Let me s-" I was cut off by voices outside of the office. Aiden and I looked at each other panicked.
"My dad!" He whispered.
"What do we do? He's coming in here!" I whispered back already putting everything back in place. Then Aiden grabbed my arm, more like yanked, into the file room.
"Be quiet. My father doesn't enter this room often and if he does we can hide behind the door." He explained quickly. Then he turned off the light from the file room and we stayed in the shadows. We heard his dad enter and we heard him talking in the phone. He was laughing so I knew he wouldn't hear us talk.
"I thought you said he would stay in the meeting for hours!" I scolded Aiden. He frowned at me but then knew I was right.
"Well he usually is. Right now is just bad luck." He answered in that British accent of his. He was the second British person I knew in my whole entire life and in the same place.
"Great just what I need. You'll probably just get grounded but I can get into serious trouble since I'm not allowed to even be in this side." I explained. We were whispering loudly.
"Don't worry I'll take full blame if we get caught while you hide." He reassured. I smiled at him grateful and then listened in on the conversation. It was all boring but eventually he hung up and left the office.
"Another meeting." Aiden commented. He slowly opened the door to make sure the coast was clear and then we got the journal and album.
We opened the photo album and saw a picture of two young boys playing in the sand at the beach. They were smiling at the camera.
"That's my dad." Aiden whispered confused.
"Then who is he? Does he have a brother? Do you have an uncle?" I asked him confused even more.
"No." He answered.
"Maybe a childhood friend." I suggested.
"Yeah could be." He replied and then I opened the journal.
Again my brother gets everything. The boarding school our dad used to own was inherited to Trevor. He always got everything! He was the favored child ever since we were young. He was my younger brother but still it bothered me. Now we're all grown up and he gets to keep the whole campus. The only reason I became principal of the East Side is because he had a kind enough heart to give me a job here.
He also let my son join just because it was his nephew. Still I'll never tell my son that his uncle is the prinicpal of the West Side. And if he did know it would be because it was for me to know and for him to find out.
"Well Dad I just found out." Aiden said more to himself. All I did was roll my eyes in fustration.
"Are you kidding me?! So this whole rivalry thing between our sides is because of a stupid family problem?! Your family knows no mercy." I pointed out. Aiden just laughed at that.
"I actually have to say I agree. I also just found out I have an uncle. I just wonder why my dad has a British accent and your prinicpal doesn't." Aiden commented. Then I nodded in agreement also wondering.
"Well this mission is officially over for me. Anything else you want to know is up to you. Bye!" I told him and then left the office. I snuck out behind the guards and then ran to the West Side. Well hey it killed some time.
