A large chapter, I know. But trust me, this chapter will cram your head with more excitement and more questions!

Damn it ! I wasn't thinking. Sebastian and I completely neglected one possibility - Brad or Nicole could also be the witch.
"You are up, Agent Peters." the Sheriff came in.
"Would you mind telling why did you mock the FBI? It's a serious crime." His tone was silent and serious. I wondered what were the charges. But anyway, I had to get away. I couldn't afford being locked up when the witch, well , a warlock actually, Brad could be after Sebastian. Without thinking I said. "Please, I gotta go."
The Sheriff looked at me and said something about me being stupid. I wasn't paying attention. Somehow I was getting this strong feeling that something terrible was going to happen, more terrible than I getting locked up. In normal conditions, even the thought of being taken into custody scared me to death. But things were different. Sebastian was in danger, a great danger. Then I noticed that Sheriff was asking me something and was expecting an answer.
"Can I at least make a call? " I asked politely hoping he would let me.
"Unless you tell me about what's going on? You are not from FBI and you do not seem like a professional criminal. What exactly are you?" He eyebrows rose as a glint of excitement awoke in his once dull eyes.
Perhaps he was amused of finding a new class of criminals - stupid witchhunters.
"I'm trying to be nice. But I can use my privileges at will." He warned me.
I knew I had to get away or at least inform Sebastian somehow . But there was no way I could step out of this cell unless I told the Sherrif everything. I was so worried that I didn't consider the possibility that after hearing me out he would send me to a mental hospital. Which, considering he might rather send me to a mental asylum, was better.
"Sebastian and I are something called as hunters. We hunt down demons and ghosts and vampires and witches, basically anything which is beyond normal. We were passing through this city
when Sebastian noticed something weird going on - those gruesome crazy murders and judging from a weird coin, we suspected it was a witch's doing. Then we found out a connection between the murders - the witch goes only after those who are extremely egoistic. While Sebastian went to see Nicole, I, trying to warn Brad, went over to him. But it turned out he was the witch who's currently after Sebastian. So you gotta let me go and save him." I summarised everything in one breath ignoring how stupid and childish I sounded. He made a funny face at me like my condition was worse than what he had anticipated. But what he said wasn't what I'd expected.
"Is this the coin you were referring to?" He asked thoughtfully. He held a big shiny coin with weird writing engraved on its blood red surface - the Witch's coin. Yes, It was the witch's coin but what was it doing here. As far as I remembered, both the coins were with Sebastian. I nodded as, because of some reason, my throat started feeling sick. What I didn't realise was it wasn't just feeling sick, it was filling with the sick.
"Well, when you were brought here by Brad the witch, " he grinned, " after he had gone, we found this in your pocket."
My heart stopped. I was so stupid. I entered Death's Den and now there was no escape. My own life was in danger. How could I possibly have saved Sebastian?
But I hadn't given up. After surviving that horrific chase I couldn't just give up. After having been on various gruesome jobs, I couldn't give up. My Katniss side had gotten quite stronger. I had to face it.
