Author's Note:

The end is near and I want it to be perfect. But my real life isn't going too well and that has affected my writing. It's the reason why I'm taking so much time to write mere 2k words, and why my writing has become so shittier! But I can't wait until God gives me some pleasant surprise thereby returning my writing back to normal. I'm going to edit, rather rewrite, these chapters later. But for now, the shitter version will have to do.

Sorry : (

( And if this is not crappy, please do mention so. I sometimes have very irrational fears. )

"I've been keeping some things from you, Sebastian. I didn't tell you any of it because what I saw, what I heard, it made no sense. Pamela had warned me that psychic visit can lead to hallucinations, so I never paid much attention to these visions," she said, "but I can't keep it away from you anymore."

"What kind of visions? Can you tell me?" Sebastian asked.

"I wish I could, but these visions are still so unclear. Sometimes I'm convinced that they're real. But they're so terrible, so frightening, it's hard to imagine if they're really true, or just some messed up imaginations," she said. Even the thought of recalling these nightmares made her shudder with fright.

"Laura, I've been a hunter all my life. And even if I'm used to hunting, some things still terrify me. The beings I couldn't hunt, the beings that tore humans into shreds right before me, and the memories of my past...everything returns to me in the form of nightmares. But these are only nightmares; they have no significance in real life. Besides, unlike me, you're not familiar to all this. I can't even imagine what sorts of nightmares you're seeing. But believe me, what happens in nightmares, stays in nightmares, well unless a demigod is after you." He laughed expecting it'd break the saddened air.

But whatever was bothering Laura, it had a greater hold on her.

"And what if these are not nightmares. What if these are memories of my past or premonitions about the future, something that could actually happen?" She asked.

"Premonitions? That's ridiculous. Well, we had a few scholars whose predictions did come true, but then again these scholars did admit that these predictions were only educated guesses, and not some voodoo," Sebastian said. But Laura didn't look convinced. He didn't even know whether she was really listening or was lost in some other internal conflict.

"Future seeing and stuff like that, it doesn't happen in real life. You're a student, right? You of all people should know that. So just forget these stupid nightmares. They mean nothing." He tried his best to sound convincing. But all he was himself worried. Having visions was definitely an uncommon activity even in the Hunter Society, but that didn't rule out the possibility of its existence.

"I did have a premonition once, Sebastian," she said. Sebastian looked at her, eyes full of surprise.

"I saw you in a vision right before I actually met you. I saw you fighting your uncle and I also saw Alzaknos. And it all came true." The memory scared her but the fright was nothing compared to what fate showed her this time.

"I don't care what the scholars think. I don't care what anyone thinks. I saw a vision and it did come true. And so would this one." A tear trickled down her cheek.

"What did you see?" Sebastian asked. The false serenity on his face was destroyed and lines of fear and worry lengthened on his forehead.

Laura didn't respond immediately. Then, with a long breath, she told him the truth behind her existence.
