[Laura]
I could no longer feel my legs. The metal door I was leaning against seemed a bit colder and all air gushed out of my lungs. 'Alzaknos'. There could be no mistake. Maybe what I'd been seeing, the dream, indeed was a message from God. Maybe He really was warning me of my callous fate.
I should have considered the vision and never had left my home that day. I shouldn't have met Sebastian and nor should have I gone with him. True, Sebastian was good at heart. Unlike his uncle, or possessed uncle, he had nothing against me. He was helping me. But why was his help bringing more and more trouble?
Before my mind could grab more fear and fall colder, despite of my retreating intentions, I leaned more against the door leaning into the dark room. Sebastian was looking as lifeless as I was. His face had twitched into a fierce disbelief, his eyes widening with great surprise.
"Oh, come on, you should've known. Despite of my master's warnings, I was giving off so many clues. Gotta say, Seb, you're not as good as my friends say. Oh, is that because of the girl standing by the door?" Curiosity gleamed in his sea green eyes.
I froze again, goosebumps rising up my skin. He'd spotted me. As another pang of ice shattered my last hope of this vision coming false, my knees fell. I tightened my grip on the metal door, readying myself from being pulled by the demon.
"The door of your heart, Seb? Love is chaos afterall. It leads to such confusion of mind, it might even change a person completely. Beautiful is the magic of chaotic love." Uncle Rob's eyes sparkled with slight amusement as I sighed with relief. He didn't know I was there.
Now I wish I hadn't had known Sebastian or any of the ways to beat down the paranormal, and that I was as heartless as Sebastian once was. Though every logic told me to run far away, while I can, my legs won't move. Though the vision forced me to leave Sebastian and escape my fate, I couldn't.
It wasn't that my cockiness had returned. It wasn't that my Katniss side was getting pumped up again.
I couldn't leave Sebastian. I just couldn't leave him. I'd to find a way to escape both of us.
But all this thinking was being done by a small part of my brain, most of it being paralysed by pure terror.
Somehow, fighting aginst my mind, I managed to stay right there, holding the metal door, peeking inside the gloomy room while a tiny part of my mind trying to figure out a way.
"Hmm, so it's 2:35. Damn it! I was supposed to summon Master at 2 O' Clock sharp. But no worries. Since he wasn't expecting you to get in such a sensitive spot, I think he would rather be pleased." He said thoughtfully while approaching an old piece of parchment which had fluttered on the table, completely ignoring a slowly calming Sebastian.
I hid behind the door as his sea green eyes happened to waver over it. Fortunately he didn't notice me or my short husky breaths. Sebastian now looked cool as if he'd grasped the situation and had a plan ready.
"Who are you and why are you here?" Sebastian asked coolly, a sense of seriousness lingering in his voice.
"Oh, I haven't introduced myself yet, haven't I? Be pleased to meet Gudruk, Master Alzaknos's prime servant. I think you've already met my brother, Delroy. And as far as my job is concerned, as I told you earlier, I'm here to summon Master." He said.
