[ Laura ]
"Laura, get the hell out of there." He shouted.
What? What did he ask me to do? I was surrounded by six extra healthy black eyed mutants, how could I possibly escape!
But though my brain was still thinking, my body had already taken on some action. Call it a reflex. An instance of my unexplained wild side.
I bit Grimm's fat hand which had previously rendered me motionless and kicked Delark in his jewels. Wow since when could I do karate, I wondered. Arrival of Sebastian had somewhat froze them in surprise and confusion and filled me with intense optimism, so hitting them became pretty easy. And yeah, I was drunk.
However one guy did manage to get past the confusion and hurried towards me. I tried to jump away from him but he was too fast. He banged my head so hard that the world started spinning around me. However, the bang knocked out a shiny silver blade out of my sweater, Sebastian's dagger.
The pale silver glow of the falling dagger kindled another instance of my unknown fury.
I ran the blade through his stomach as his skin turned red and blue. He fell on the road, howling in pain as thick red gooey liquid started oozing from his injury - demon blood. Though my move was quite feeble and the injury, superficial, it helped to slow him down at least. Then I rolled beneath one of the demons owing to his extra large size and mine relatively much shorter stature and escaped certain death. Or worse.
Wow, I really had a Katniss Everdeen side.
I was barely out of the way when I heard the bang. Delroy, obviously, managed to get out of the way. However, the others weren't so lucky. One of the demons dashed against the front windshield whose cracks multiplied in a spidery fashion.
"Damn it. I got it fixed just last week." Sebastian was furious. He then switched on the wiper and apart from the broken glass shards getting pierced into the thick skin of the miserable creature, something even terrible happened.
A dreadful screech filled my ears when I saw the demon vigorously wriggling over the cracked windshield. With more shards getting dug into his skin, more black gooey blood oozed through his system. But the worst part was his skin which seemed to cause him more pain than anything else. The moment the presumably detergent water touched his skin, a chain of huge blisters quickly started expanding all over him. With more detergent, the blisters got burned away and so did the demon's skin. And a last shower of the wiping system caused the demon to let out a horrible howl. The normal soap water of the normal wiping system of the windshield felt like the most potent acid to him. What was in that soap?
But I didn't waste any time over wondering about it. The scene was too disturbing to let my mind think straight. It was so disturbing that for a moment, I got scared of Sebastian. What human could kill a person, well, a weird creature actually, so brutally? Afraid and stunned, I stepped aside.
"You deserved it." Sebastian said coldly as he rose from his car and hurried towards me. But before he could get near me, someone confronted him.
"Oh, my. If it isn't dear Sebastian." Delroy beamed as he materialised out of thin air, right before him. Sebastian instinctively backed off, taking a disciplined stance.
"So glad to see you!" Delroy said in the most pleased tone.
"Well, the feeling's mutual. 'Cause I'll finally cut off that stinky head of yours and shove it up your ass" Said Sebastian through gritted teeth, his eyes flaring with pure rage.
