A weekend with out homework??? Impossible! But it's true! I did it in class! Success! I'll have another one by tonight or in the morning hopefully!

-------------------------------------------------------

Day 1. Classes. Fun. Not really. I already have homework! Professor McGonagall wants me to do something for her. A journal on things I've done and how I feel about things for a job applications. An auror position at the ministry. She 'got a tip' that someone is going to be retiring here in a couple years and wants me to be ready.

"I miss Nat!" I whined, basically trudging into potions. The room was dark and potions were brewing on the table. Mione rolled her eyes, side hugging me. Draco was in the corner with Pansy, she was clinging to him like seran wrap , but he looked distant, broken. Good. That git broke Harry's nose!

"I know you do, but it'll be okay. I promise! And I'm still here you know!" She smiled, leading me to an open table. We were the only Gryffindors in here!

"I know Mione. And I'm glad. It's just, our group isn't our group with out her!" I sighed, resting my head on her shoulder. I told Harry he should see about whether or not Professor Slughorn excepts E level students, but he and Ron seemed pretty thrilled that they had more than one free class.

"I know I know. Come on, he's starting!"

"Come come! That's it, now, can anyone tell me what this little brew is?" He asked, all of us gathering round the potion.

"It's vertiseum Sir!" I smiled, but kept my voice quiet. "A colorless, odorless, potion that makes the drinker tell the truth." He seems to really like Harry, and Harry seems to like him, except for the collector part, but that's okay. Everyone has their flaws. He nodded, beaming at me.

"Very good Ms. Black! Ten points to Gryffindor! Now, does anyone know what this is?" He pointed to the bubbling thing next to it. I knew what is what, but Mione answered before I had a chance. Good thing though, she has used it after all. As has Harry and Ron and Nat. I haven't though, and I'm really curious!

"That's poly juice Sir! It gives you the ability to look exactly like the person who's hair resides in the potion. It lasts approximately an hour!"

He nodded, smiling at Mione. "Very good Ms. Granger! Another ten points to Gryffindor. Now, this potion, can anyone-"

"Amortentia!" Mione and I chorused, looking at each other. Slughorn looked amused. He nodded slowly, the same smile on his face.

"And, this is probably a silly question but, can you tell us it's use?"

"Well it's the most powerful of all love potions!" I smiled, letting Hermione finish. I could smell it from here. Harry's cologne, mixed with vanilla. I don't know where the vanilla comes from though.

"It smells different to different individuals. Whatever attracts you is what it smells like. I, for example, smell freshly mown grass, new parchment, and speriment toothpaste." She blushed, but I smiled, I'd know that smell anywhere. I lived with it for thirteen years. Ron.

"And you Ms. Black? What do you smell?" Slughorn asked, he sounded really eager too. I opened my mouth to answer, but Draco cut in.

"Pft. Isn't it obvious? Blood, and failure! The essence of Potter!" He scoffed, rolling his eyes. I smirked, watching Pansy cling to him as I folded my arms over my chest.

"Oh really? And what do you smell? Wet dog?" Pug face over there finally left go of Draco, glaring at me. I returned it easily, though I'm sure mine was more lethal. I never liked her, ever. I wonder if she knows she's a cover up for Draco? The door burst open during our glare contest, but no one moved a muscle, she didn't shift her gaze, and I didn't shift mine.
