"Wake up. Classes." I muttered, throwing a pillow at Ginny. I sat up sleepily and rubbed my eyes to wake myself up. I stumbled to the bathroom, took a quick shower and got dressed in jeans and a shirt and converse. I didn't even bother with my school robes. I brushed my hair and teeth, then walked out lazily. Ginny was waiting, already ready.

"Breakfast." She moaned, I nodded. We stumbled down the hall, last nights mental high wearing off. I don't understand why I was in such a good mood anyway. Maybe because I smart mouthed a whole circle of death eaters? Merlin knows I'll pay for it......

We made our way to the Great Hall and took a seat beside Neville, filling our plates with toast. Seamus and Dean came and at across from the three of us. I'm not in the mood for Seamus..... "How ya feeling super star?"

"No thank you. No nicknames." I muttered, clutching my head. "I'm tired and hungry and a bit grumpy."

"How can you miss Potter that bad?" Seamus snorted, making me narrow my eyes. My lip quivered and I dropped my face into my hands. Harry.

"Seamus!" Neville snapped, wrapping an arm around my shoulders. I want my Harry back!

Grandma came round, passing out the schedules. She stopped when she saw the scene the five of us had made. "Oh you poor girl. Here, maybe a cheering charm will help? Filius will be best for this. Hold on!" She handed us our schedules and ran off. Ginny and I had every class together, along with Neville. We have Advanced Potions first. With Slughorn. Maybe he can give me some sort of draught?

Professors McGonagall and Flitwick came back with similar sympathetic smiles. Professor Flitwick brandished his wand and I felt slightly better, but not much. He seemed shocked, but it quickly turned to sympathy. Like I said, I just need time. I sighed and stood up, grabbing my bag. "Lets go." Nev and Gin followed, watching me miserably.

"So, when are you going to have tryouts?" Ginny asked, raising an eyebrow. I shrugged, looking out the window. Good weather. If it holds, Saturday.

"Probably Saturday. Help get the word out?"

"Sure thing Sis." She smiled, pushing open the door to the dungeons. Professor Slughorn was standing there nervously, looking at the two Carrows who were standing in the corner. "What are they doing here Professor?" Ginny whispered, taking her seat. There's only seven people in the class, the others are Ravenclaw students. He didn't answer.

"Turn to page 471 and brew the draught. You have the whole lesson."

I pulled out my book and set it between Gin and I so that we could work together. Halfway through, Ginny was struggling so I helped her. The Carrows didn't like that. "NO CHEATING! FENRIR!" Three death eaters swarmed the room, grabbing me like they did last night. I fought again and suddenly realized what they were doing in the classroom. Tailing me.

They will get me for anything they can. They need information on Harry. I was drug into a room with a smirking Bellatrix. "Ahhhh, how did I know she'd be our first punishment?"

"Just do your worst." I hissed, glaring at her. I could hear the own venom dripping from my voice. I began hissing curse words in Parseltongue, and let me tell you, that scared them.

"You're going to send a patronus to Potter, begging him to come back. Begging him to save you. Got it?"

"Yeah yeah. Sure. Expecto Patronum! Harry! Listen to this whole message right to the very end, okay? I need you to come back and save me! I can't do this anymore! I'm slowly dying. Only I'm not. So don't come back. Happy Bellatrix? Go to Harry." I waved the patronus off and it left the room. A doe. Harry's patronus is a stag.

I wonder what he's doing right now?

"Foolish girl! Fenrir, the full moon is tonight. I'm thinking instead of a detention, a little session with our favorite werewolf? In the tunnel?" Carrow smirked. My eyes widened in fear, I pulled my wand and tried to run, but ended up being sucker punched in the stomach. I doubled over, gasping for breath. When I regained it, I aimed a swift kick at Carrow's jaw.

I went to run, but I felt the all to familiar pain of the cruciatus curse. I writher in pain, back and forth, wondering how it would feel to die. I felt my sanity slipping away once again. Finally the curse was lifted, and I blacked out.

Not even one full class Gracie.

Harry's POV* * * *

The patronus appeared in the room and I recognized it as Gracie's. We all listened to it speak in horror until it got to the end. "Happy Bellatrix?" I mumbled, repeating it. "They're using her to get us!"

"We knew they would Harry." Hermione whispered, putting her hand on my shoulder. I scowled, shrugging it off. Kreacher needs to hurry up with Mundungus. Why did Kreacher let him take the damn locket? He just had to complicate things didn't he?!

I ran a frustrated hand through my hair as I thought. Gracie wasn't kidding when she said 'familiar'. Nat's dad had the locket. She had it when she was younger, but then she gave it to Kreacher. I walked up the stairs towards Sirius' room, not really knowing what I was looking for.

The room's been trashed. Things lay scattered everywhere, the bed sheets were in ruins, but one thing still stood proud. Sirius' Gryffindor banner. I smiled as I went up to touch it. I have one of these in my dorm at Hogwarts.

Hogwarts. Where Gracie is. I hope someone is looking out for her. I have a feeling it's her against the world at Hogwarts. For some reason, I've just got this bad feeling in the pit of my stomach.

Pop

"Harry!" I ran downstairs as fast as I could, hearing Hermione call my name. When I got into the kitchen, Kreacher and Dobby were fighting a struggling Mundungus. "Where is?" Hermione questioned, skipping straight through the pleasantries.

"The locket Dung! Where is it?" Ron shouted, I stepped forward, glaring with all of my might.

"I suggest you tell us Fletcher. You see, you stole from the Blacks. My godfather and girlfriend. Ron's soon to be sister in law. A good friend of ours. Tell me, where is the locket?"

"I don't know! Some lady bought it off me in the street! Why, is it valuable?"

"Pft! Worried he didn't get enough money for it!" Ron scoffed, looking at Mundungus as if he made him sick. I held the same feeling.

"Didn't get no money I didn't! Dome lady bought it off of me, from the ministry! W, well that's her! Big pink bow and all!" He pointed to Hermione's newspaper and there on the front page, was Dolores Umbridge.

"Dammit!" I punched the wall, my temper has been horribly short as of late. I picked up the newspaper, staring at it. Mundungus took his chance and cleared off, it was then I realized Dobby was in the room. I'd seen him before, but it just didn't register.

"Harry Potter misses his Gracie?" Dobby asked, putting a hand on my arm. I nodded, glaring at Umbridge. We're going to need a plan.

"Harry, I'm sure she's fine. She has to be. It's Gracie."
There was a bang on the front door. We all three drew our wands, and Dobby stood in front of us as if he was going to fight as well. Who the bloody hell is that? Lupin came running in, and everyone but me dropped their wands.

"Quick! Tell me, the first time we spoke out side of a lesson, where, and what about?"

"In my office, during a Hogsmeade weekend because you weren't aloud to go. There was a grindylow tank in the corner and we spoke about your broom and that's when you learned I knew your parents." I gripped my wand, he left out something important. "Oh, and of course, we talked about teaching you to create a patronus."

I dropped my wand, wondering what he was doing here. Aren't they all supposed to be in hiding? Ron asked for me. "What are you doing here?"

"Getting ready to go down into the tunnel. It's a full moon tonight, it's going to be a rough night as well. The effects are already strong." He sighed, running a hand through his hair. "And I was hoping to catch you here."

"Why?"

"Well we're all worried. I figured, maybe you could give us some word? We haven't heard from Gracie either." I passed him the map, not wanting to see.

"She's been taken by death eaters twice now. I think she's passed out at this moment, she hasn't even had one class because they drug her out of Slughorn's room. They took her from her dorm last night, she stood in the middle of a death eater circle." I muttered, my fists clenching. I should be there. I wish I was there. I could protect her.

"She fought two death eaters at the train station. They were torturing a girl, Parvarti?, and Gracie stepped in. According to Ms. Longbottom, she was in another fight on the train, and yet another at the sorting. According to Minerva." He ran a hand through his hair, making me shudder. Three fights and two kidnappings? It's the first day!

"Bloody hell!" Ron groaned, hiding his face in his hands. "Have you heard anything from Ginny?"

"At this point, they haven't much touched anyone else. It seems as if Gracie is playing the protector, trying to stop them from hurting anyone else."

"Oh no." Hermione gasped, shaking her head. I closed my eyes, pinching the bridge of my nose. I jumped up, closing my eyes, ready to apparate. "Harry, where are you going?"

"To get her."

"No!" They all jumped up, grabbing on to me.

"You'll both be in more danger!" Lupin warned, glaring at me.

"Yeah mate, don't be thick."

"Professor Lupin and Ron are right Harry. You can't just go apparating into Hogsmeade, traipsing up to the school to grab Gracie. Besides, at this point, I don't think she'll come. The way she's acting, its as if now that she's seen how bad things are, she's made up her mind to stop it. She's fighting Harry, and fighting hard. We all know Gracie."

"She won't give up." The three of them chorused. I slumped into my chair, groaning. She'll get hurt! They'll kill her! "Harry, where is she going with Fenrir?" Lupin whispered, tapping the map. The little bubbles appeared that shows what is being said.

'Let go of me!'

'Come on now! You'll have lots of fun in the were-tunnel. Maybe even see someone you know!' Fenrir taunted, my face paled.

'You sick bastard!Let go of me! I'll kill you! No, I won't have to. I'll come back to Hogwarts as a ghost! I'll haunt you and the others until the day you die.' She threatened, I can just imagine her fighting against him. I can't stand this. 'Bellatrix! No, you get away!'

'Relax, I'm not going with you! It just seems, that you're giving others hope. Maybe Longbottom should come as well? He burst into Headmaster Snape's office, yelling and threatening.'

'NO! II'LL MAKE YOU A DEAL, RIGHT HERE, RIGHT NOW!'

'What kind of deal?" The bubble popped up over both Fenrir and Bellatrix. My heart stopped and we all exchanged a look. The map showed nothing for a minute.

'I want you to make the unbreakable vow. No staff member in this school, no one with the dark mark either, will not touch or curse and student or staff member at Hogwarts, except me. Until the day I die. Otherwise, you die. I'm the only student allowed to be punished.'

"No!" I yelled, begging them not to do it. My whole world stopped when the word, 'deal', scrolled across the parchment.

"I have to go tell the others." Lupin stood up, tears in his eyes. "Goodbye."

"Bye." Hermione cried, turning to cry on Ron. My Gracie.

Gracie's POV* * * *

I kept my face blank as we walked into the tunnel that night. This is a nightmare! What have I gotten myself into this time? I groaned as all of the werewolves turned to me. I made that vow to protect the others, now look. I'm going to die and it will be invalid.

At least I have my wand.

The git, the fact that I have my wand just proves how truly thick he is. I mean, that should have been the first thing he checked for! Not that I'm complaining at all. Suddenly, I saw a familiar face. Uncle Moony. He can't come over here, he can't try to help me.

His foot moved forward and I shot him a look. 'No!' I mouthed, letting Fenrir throw me to the ground. He smirked at me, so I pretended to look horrified. "Not so brave now, are you? What will all of Hogwarts say when they find out their precious leader cowered and died, all because she couldn't handle a few werewolves?" He stepped on my ribs, pressing down hard.

I drew my wand all of a sudden, pointing it right between his eyes. The moon is in the perfect position, I can do this. "Petrificus Totalus!" He keeled over backwards and the other weres froze. "I'm really sorry to all of you."

"Don't be Love." A teenage boy gave me a small smile, I nodded gratefully and turned to look at Uncle Moony. He gave me a horrified look as the change started. For all of them. So could always turn into my animagus? No. I, I'll have to use my wand and run.

Howls broke out through the tunnel, or cavern. It's really just a big cavern. Full grown werewolves and a pup or too, stood all around me. Staring and glaring. "Immobulus!" I shouted, then started shooting random spells. "Arania, Exemay! Stupefy! Expelliarmus! Reducto!" I shouted, running. I only stupefied Uncle Moony. I ran through the tunnel, wishing I had Harry to help me.

Should I go back to Hogwarts? If I go into hiding, the death eaters won't be able to touch any of the kids. None of the other professors would. None of the students would, I hope. No, I put that little phrase in there for a reason. I'm the only one aloud to endure a punishment. As long as I'm alive.

I have to go back. I can't leave Ginny and Neville and all of the kids there. I can't let them all think I'm dead. No, I have to go back. I apparated on the spot, right onto Hogwarts grounds. Snape removed the apparition charms. The whole school was outside, waiting for me.

"Gracie!" Ginny yelled, running at me. I opened my arms and hugged her, trying to stop her from crying.

"You really are a superstar, aren't you?" Neville teased, grinning. "I've been telling them since you left that you come back, and that the werewolves will be more banged up than you."

I laughed, hugging him too. "I did use my wand." I teased, pulling a piece of hair lightly. "No, I didn't do any real damage. The most I did was use Reducto."

"Where's Fenrir?!" Bellatrix screamed, storming down the steps. I shoved Neville and Ginny behind me, glaring at her.

"What's a matter? Mad that our deal is still in tact? Angry that he didn't finish me off? Pft, he was the first person I got. Didn't even have a chance!" I snapped, glaring at her. She pulled her wand. "Its a duel you want, is it? Well remember our deal cousin, you accidentally hit another student, you'll drop dead on the spot. None of your little cronies can touch them either."

"What?" Draco strode forward, looking between the two of us. I only saw him out of the corner of my eye, Bella and I had made eye contact, and locked in on each other. We both stood in a dueling stance, waiting.

What's the matter? Auntie Bella didn't tell you? I made the Unbreakable Vow. I'm the only student aloud to receive a punishment. No one with the dark mark can touch or curse one of the students, besides me, without dropping dead first. Even the teachers are protected, wouldn't want anyone being imperiused, would we?"

"Covered all your bases, didn't you Black?" Draco snorted, crossing his arms.

"Sure did. The only way the curse is broken is if I die."

"Well then get ready!"several death eaters stepped up around me, more than I've ever seen before. Some of year people I've never seen a day in my life, and honestly, I'm scared.

"Gracie!" Ginny ran forward, and one went to hit her with a spell, but the minute the curse left his lips he was dead. Ginny ran safely to me, planting herself in front of me. "Why is Gracie being singled out?"

"She's Potter's girlfriend!"

"I'd hate to see what they'd do if they realized Harry and I were engaged." I whispered, giggling in Ginny's ear. We stood back to back with our wands drawn. A death eater walked all the way up, then punched me in the face. I hit the ground, but kicked his feet out from under him.

We wrestled around on the ground until another death eater punched me in the face. That hurt, I'll admit to that. "I hate you!" He spat, dragging me up by my feet. "You thin you're so great, so special. You're not! Everyone makes you out to be a hero, your a pathetic little girl, the size of my thumb!" I glared at him, throwing him off of me. "You're a brat with a bad attitude who doesn't deserve to live."

"You're right. I'm nothing special. But neither are you!" I punched him with all of my might. Then looked at the surrounding death eaters. "Clear off! NOW!" They all looked at Bellatrix, waiting to see what she said. "You have thirty seconds before I do something you do not want to see. Thirty!" They were gone within seconds, leaving Bellatrix standing alone. "Good help is so hard to find these days. If you want something done, you've just got to do it yourself. Anything you want to do?"

Her face twitched and she screamed a frustrated, bloodcurdling scream. Finally, she was gone. I collapsed, falling to my knees. "Sis!" Ginny called, she and Neville pulling me to my feet. "Are you okay?"

"F,Fine. Just tired." I sighed, hanging my head. "I, is it raining?"

"No, why?" Neville gave me a confused look, but I'm just as confused as he is.

"She's bleeding!" Ginny shouted, and then it all made since.

"Oh am I? When did that get there?" My eyes fluttered closed as I asked my question. This isn't good. Is it, coming from my stomach?

What the bloody hell?

"Gracie!"

Everything went black.
