Chapter 18

"Harry! Harry! Wake up! We have to get to the train!" I dropped his trunk, gasping. "Merlin, what do you have in that thing?"

"Gracie!" He groaned, standing up. I watched him stretch, I appreciated it very much when his shirt rose up and I got to see his abs. I swear, I wouldn't even have to see Harry's face. All it'd take would be his abs, and I'd know who he was. He walked over and pecked my cheek, then gave me a stern look. "You should have just woken me up. You could have tripped or fallen or pulled something!"

"Harry, it was a trunk. I'm fine. Besides, I didn't lift it, I levitated it then grabbed it out of the air. So all I had to do was carry it. No big deal!" I smiled, skipping around the couch to wake up Ginny and Draco. I'm in a really good mood today, I get to go home and see my mum and dad and the twins, Uncle Lupin and Tonks, all of the Weasley's. Most of all, I get to spend Christmas with Harry! As usual. Still though, I'm excited!

"I'm up. I'm up." Draco grunted, kissing Ginny's forehead. He whispered something to her, smiled, and walked out.

"Love you too!" I yelled, slamming the portrait behind him. Ginny laughed and came over to hug me.

"Don't worry Gracie. I still love you!"

"Yeah yeah. Sure you do. Go on, Mione's doing trunk checks every thirty seconds. I say you better go get yours. We have an hour before we have to start heading to Hogsmeade." She rolled her eyes and started jogging towards the stairs. "And it's freezing so dress warm!" I called after her.

"Thanks.....Mum!"

"Hey!" She laughed and closed the door behind her. I did not sound like Mrs. Weasley, I just don't want her sick on holiday. I mean come on, how much would that suck? I'd say a whole heck of a lot. Being sick on Christmas? Excuse me for caring. "You too Mr.!" Harry wrapped his arms around my waist, kissing my neck.

"Do you really want Sirius to see a hickey?" Ron walked down the stairs, grumbling as per usual. Lavendar, who I just now noticed was in the room, squealed and jumped up to run at Ron. Harry an I rolled our eyes, watching her snog his face off. Believe me when I say, she is a hazard! Her snogging is dangerous! She's wild! She nearly knocked Ron down the stairs.

"Do you really want Molly seeing that?" I spat, grabbing Ron away from Lavendar. Thank goodness I did too, Mione came down the stairs a second later. Ron didn't see her, maybe.... "So are you excited to get to spend time with us this holiday? You haven't talked to Harry or I in ages. And it seems like you haven't talk to Mione in, Merlin knows how long!"

"I miss you lot. Especially, one of you." He glanced at Lavendar awkwardly and she glared at me.

"Which one?"

"Er," come on Ron! Say it! Mione is literately right behind you! "Hermione." He muttered, making sure Lavendar couldn't hear.

Yes! Yes! Merlin yes! Now Mione say something, kiss, and get rid of Lavendar! Oh Merlin, please let this be a Christmas miracle! "You miss me?" Mione whispered, staring at the ground, a blush on her face. Ron went paler than usual.

"Well, uh, yeah. I, I think we need to talk." He kept glancing over at Lavendar, and she kept glaring. I couldn't help but to send her a sweet smile. "You'll be at the Burrow, right?"

"No. My parents want me to spend holiday with them." Mione bit her lip and looked at Lavendar guiltily. Ron's face fell. "We can talk as soon as break is over though?"

"Yeah. Yeah, that'll work." He gave her a small smile, then walked towards the portrait hole. Ginny was already slipping out, trunk in hand. She's going to say goodbye to Draco. Harry took my hand, and my trunk, we said goodbye to Mione and left the common room.

"You've got everything?" He looked down at me with a raised eyebrow. I nodded, pulling a picture out of my pocket. It was a picture I found in Slughorn's office at the party. Ginny an I did some snooping while Harry and Draco were gone. It was a picture of Lilly. Why Slughorn had it, I don't know. In the picture, she was smiling and waving, saying something I don't understand. Something about a gift. I didn't take the picture, that'd be wrong. I just copied it. This picture doesn't move, it doesn't talk, but I thought Harry might want it.

"Here. This is for you." He took the picture carefully, smiling. The big thing about this picture, Lilly was young. Probably first or second year. He smiled, looked at me, then back at the picture. He put it in his pocket, then kissed my forehead.

"Thank you. Where'd you find it?" I pushed open the gates and started towards Hogsmeade.

"Up at the school. In a library book in the restricted section. The book hasn't been used in years, guess what book." I don't know why I lied, but I don't think he'd be happy with Ginny and I snooping around. He raised an eyebrow and gestured for me to tell him. "An animagus book."

"You're kidding?" Harry burst into laughter, pulling the picture out again. "Must have been before they got older. Or before she hated him."

"I wish it had a date on it. Then we could ask Dad or Uncle Moony!" I smiled, looking at the picture again. We're almost to the carriages and then we'll be on the train. Harry nodded, and things got quiet. We made it to the carriages, and it was a quick ride into the train. We met up with Ron moments later. I pulled out some parchment and began drawing while Ron and Harry spoke.

"What's an unbreakable vow?"

I snapped out of the daze I was in. If Harry's thinking of making an unbreakable vow I'll probably kill him. "Why?" I snapped, eyeing him up and down. He seemed surprised. "Harry, that vow is dangerous. Why do you want to know?"

"Snape made the vow. Listen, when I followed Draco into the hall, I listened in on he and Snape's conversation. Voldemort, Ron don't wince, he gave Draco a mission. He wants him to complete it, and Snape made the vow to Narissca. He vowed to protect Draco. He wanted to help, but Draco told him he couldn't help because he just wants him dead. That he wants to get the glory."

"Glory for what?" Ron leaned forward, resting his elbows on his knees.

"I don't know, but Gracie and I were right all along. Snape told him we were onto him, and we know more than he thought we did."

"Draco hurt Katie. How could he do that?" I whispered, looking out the window. Draco and Ginny were a few compartments away, only the two of them. I wonder if Ginny knows what's going on. I know he said he couldn't tell her, but she's persuasive when she wants to be. What's Pansy doing? She walked over to their compartment, but I couldn't hear what she was saying. Draco looked angry, but Ginny had this sweet little smile on her face. Gin pulled her wand, and held it up at Pansy. The pug faced girl left in a huff, and I giggled.

The rest of the train ride, Ron and Harry messed around, talking and laughing while I drew pictures on left over parchment. The only time I payed attention to anything was when Lavendar drew a L+R picture on the window and Mione saw it. She left, looking heartbroken. I hit Ron with my book and then continued to draw.

"Ready?" Harry took my hand in his. I nodded, got up, and stretched. We got off the train together, looking for Mum and Dad. They were right up front, holding the twins. I squealed, running up to my brother and sister.

"Oh Lilly! You've gotten so big!" I hugged the life out of the poor kid, then moved on to James. "You look so much like Daddy!"

"Nuh uh. Dad has a beard! I can't grow a beard!" James pouted, while Lilly poked his face, giggling. I laughed and stuck my tongue out at Dad.

"Yeah Dad! Shave the beard!" I teased, punching him playfully.

"Hey! Not once did I hear that kid say shave the beard. He said he couldn't grow one." Dad laughed, ruffling my hair. "Come on Princess. Lets go." He smiled, slinging an arm around my shoulders. Harry took James from me, so I took Lilly from Mum. She gave me a hug and we all apparated to the Burrow.

************************************
"Wake up. It's Christmas!" I was hit. With a pillow. The question is, who dares? I rolled over to see Nat and Ginny. I was tempted to flip them off but that would be sort of extreme. "Listen here, Molly wants you downstairs, now! She's on to you, you know that right? I hope you don't think she's that stupid. Molly knows. You and Harry both sleep allll day, and then you wake up in the middle of the night and look out the window, guess who you see. You and Harry!" Nat ranted, hitting me with the pillow repeatedly.
I blushed furiously, remembering last night by the lake. We played a game where we told each other little things, things that are so minor most people wouldn't even know nor care. His were so cute! We ended up snogging and then, well, I'm going to need lots of make up.
"Lilly and James have been asking for you!" Ginny poked me, then ripped me from the bed. I groaned, but got up anyway. I grabbed some clothes and went straight for the bathroom. I took a shower, then slipped on my hoodie and skinny jeans, then my converse. I used make up to cover the hickey, and headed down the stairs. Dad kissed the top of my head and Lilly and James came running over as I plopped down into my chair.
"Hey Baby Girl! How are ya bub?" I smiled, hugging each of them.
"Christmas tomorrow!" Lilly giggled in her broken toddler talk. It made me smile as well and I nodded happily in response. "Presents!"
"What do you think you got?" I smiled, pulling her up onto my lap as I began to eat. I listened to her talk and talk about the things she wanted, waiting for what I got to pop up on the list. It was the very last thing. I sighed in relief, listening to James list. My gift was first on his list.
"Morning Love!" Harry smiled, sitting next to me. I gave him a quick kiss as he lifted James into his lap. My goofy little brother never even stopped between words. I rolled my eyes, taking a sip of orange juice. Mum and Dad were laughing about something in the living room, Fleur and Bill were walking around in the garden, Ginny was upstairs writing Draco, Nat and Fred were playing with Kelly. I don't even know what George and Ron are doing, but I know what Harry is going to be doing.
Scrimmagour walked up the pathway with Percy. I bit my lip, glancing at Mrs. Weasley who had tears bright in her eyes. Mr. Weasley wrapped a protective arm around her as the whole family poured into the room. I stood up as well, for the longest time I was a Weasley. Percy was always different, he was always like that, always acted like he hated all of us. It wasn't a huge shock when he left, but he can't just come marching back in like nothing happened. And I happen to believe he doesn't want to be here. He's a distraction for our minister.
"Hello everyone. Hope I'm not interrupting?" The minister smiled happily, but it was the fakest smile I ever saw. "Percy here wanted to see his family for the holidays, before we headed back to work that is." Molly looked at Percy with watery eyes and a huge smile. "Harry, may I have a word?"
Harry nodded, following Scrimmagour out the door. I glared at Percy, and he returned it easily. "Hello Gracie."
"You lost the right to call me that when you walked out on our family." I snapped, holding Lilly close. She's the only going to stop me from pulling my wand and hexing that git into oblivion! "I think we all know you didn't want to come here. What's he up to Percy?"
"I, I don't know what you're taking about!" He miffed, pushing his nose into the air. I nearly growled at him.
"Oh really? So um, tell me, why the change of heart all of a sudden?"
"I suppose it was the hold holidays. Thinking of the memories."
"That's rich, considering you've spent the holidays locked in your room every year since you were nine!" Ron scoffed, sending Percy a heated glare. Percy's ears went red as his hair.
"Aw, don't get mad Perce. We just don't want to hear your lies!" I cooed, knowing he hates that name. I seriously thought he was going to explode. Molly let out a strangled cry and I knew we'd gone to far.
"Look Percy. I'll apologize, but you should know, I don't take kindly to traitors. If I have to explain why, well then you're just plain ignorant. There's be no hope. But the point is, you walked out on us, and then you let pride stop you from coming back when we needed you most. You still can't admit you were wrong! So please excuse me if I have a problem with that. If you'll excuse me, I'm going to my room."
I left them all standing there, taking Lilly with me. Her eyes were huge as she looked at me. "Is he bad?"
"Very bad." I sighed, running a hand through my hair. I opened the door to see Gin poured over a piece if parchment. "Woah child, how much and what are you writing him?"
"I'm responding to what he told me before we left. I didn't get a chance to reply, so he told me to write. It's important." She never looked up, not once. I shrugged and sat Lilly on the floor while I went to look out the window.
What does the minister want? Why does he need Percy to get it? I don't understand why the ministry can't just leave Harry alone for once. I watched the two of them in the garden, unconsciously glaring at Scrimmagour. He has no right to be here. And he's only making Harry angry! I flinched when Harry stopped walking all of a sudden and curled his fist at his sides. He started yelling, loud enough for me to hear, but not loud enough to know what he was saying.
Sighing, I turned away from the window and sat on the floor beside Lil. She had pulled a box of dolls out from Ginny's bed. I recognized one of them, my favorite doll from when I was little. I smiled, watching her play with it. She's so cute. I jumped when I heard the door slam downstairs. "Why Bubby angry?"
"Bubby?" Since when does she call Harry bubby?
"Harry!"
"Oh. Well I'm not sure sweetheart. What do you say we go downstairs and see?" Lilly nodded her head vigorously. I took her hand and together, we walked downstairs. Harry was in the kitchen, his eyes shut tight, jaw clenched and pinching the bridge of his nose. Lilly ran into the living room to play with James, and Dad and Uncle Moony were howling in laughter.
"Easy James, wouldn't want you to flip a table!" Dad teased, laughing even harder. I rolled my eyes, irritated and somewhat confused. I walked over to Harry in an attempt to comfort him and calm him down a bit. Not that Dad and Moony are helping.
"Just like you, Lilly, you always did baby him to much!" Uncle Moony looked like he was going to blow up if he laughed any harder. Suddenly, Arthur and Molly started laughing as well. Then Kingsley, and lastly Tonks. Harry an I watched, confused. Have they all lost it?
"S,s, sorry! It's just, Harry's never looked so much like James as in that moment!" Dad finally started to calm down, wiping the tears if laughter from his eyes. Everyone else nodded.
"And even when Lilly acted like she hated James, she couldn't stand to see him angry. She would always go over and try to comfort him. It wasting because, like James, Harry perked up the minute you touched him." Moony laughed again, but finally calmed down. I rolled my eyes, not really knowing what to say. I turned back to Harry, ignoring them.
"What happened?"
"He wants to use us." Harry snapped, glaring at Scrimmagour, who was walking up the hill with Percy. Any moment now, he'll apparate and be gone.
"Us?"
"He wants us to act like we're there for the ministry. That this ministry is our best friend. Use us for posters, give them a face of protection. He says all we'd have to do would be to check into the ministry every once in a while. 'They'll do all the work.'" Harry scoffed, rolling his eyes. I let that sink in. It wouldn't be a bad thing, other than the fact that all they want us someone to make them look like they're important, or actually doing something.
I wouldn't mind if it was to actually help people. If I really thought they wanted us to do it to try to give people some comfort, I'd do it in a heartbeat. Then again, how could two sixteen year olds help? I shook my head, sitting down at the table. How could one man hold so much stupidity? I think he's stupider than the troll in first year.
"Who wants lunch?" I looked up happily, even though we just had breakfast not to long ago. This is a perfect opportunity to put everything else aside and start on operation Tonks and Moony. I started whispering to everyone, making sure there were only two seats available, right beside each other. Blushing, Tonks took her seat. Moony looked frustrated, but sat down nonetheless.
"So Tonks, how's work?" I asked, trying to look innocent. Dad snorted into his plate, I shot him a glare, and then returned to Tonks. She gave me a confused look, then I noticed her hair changing color. It's not mousy brown anymore! It's purple! Deep purple, sort of like wine.
"Other than the fact I work for a load of dunderheads, it's great! I love being an auror, and you've come up in quite a few conversations!" She sent me a wink, then looked at Harry. "You too Harry, if you were interested. Moody's been talking none stop about what a good team you two would be."
"Brilliant!" I smiled, then got serious. "I've only got two years. I better not be working for the same people you are."
Tonks nodded, I turned to Uncle Moony. "Yes?" His response was wary, but that's okay. He's about to be a lot more passionate. I have him a pointed look. "I assume you're asking about my work?"
"Yup!" I smiled, popping the 'p'.
"It's been, decent. I've been working underground with other werewolves. Undercover. A spy. All of them seem to be on Voldemort's side. They're all under one wolves leadership. Fenrir Greyback."
"I know that name." I whispered, feeling tears spring to my eyes. Poor Uncle Moony! how could he bear it? Staying there with that col, heartless bastard! I would call him a stronger name if I could think of one. "Uncle Moony, it's not worth it!"
"What's not worth it?" Tonks have him a piercing look, he fidgeted but ignored it. Luckily, he was right across the table from me. He put his hand on mine in an act of comfort.
"Gracie, it's fine. It's all for the greater good."
"Not that! Tell me how that, is for the greater good! You can pretend it doesn't bother you all you want. I've know you all my life, I know when you're upset, when you're uncomfortable. I know we share an addiction to chocolate, though yours is a million times worse than mine. I know when you love someone but can't admit it to yourself, and I know when you're lying! You hate it down there, I can see it, why try to pretend?" I ranted, my voice dropping to a whisper with that last line. He teared up, coming 'round the table to hug me.
"You're right Gracie. I never knew you cared that much."
"Of course I do, how could I not?!" I sobbed uncontrollably, shivering at the thought. So maybe I'm going a little overboard, but it's always been a sensitive thing for me. His lycanthropy. I don't judge him or anyone with it in the slightest, the ones I judge are those who use it to their advantage. The ones who place the burden on others by biting them on purpose. And thats exactly how Uncle Moony became a wolf.
Dad smiled at the two of us, when we finished hugging, he gave me a big hug and a kiss on the forehead. I smiled gratefully, then sat back down. Harry took my hand, and slipped his other arm around my waist. I rested my forehead on his shoulder, calming myself down. That outburst shouldn't have happened, but it did and I can't take it back now. "I think you owe m, us an explanation." Tonks whispered, eyeing him up and down. I didn't miss that she almost said me.
Uncle Moony sighed, running a hand through his hair. "Gracie is upset because of who I'm working with, Fenrir. The reason she's so upset, is that he is the one who bit me as a child." Several people gasped, Tonks teared up as well. I'm glad I'm not the only one with a reaction. Just in case there are people out there who don't understand, could you work and pretend to like the person who ruined your life? Could you live alongside the person who kept you from getting numerous jobs? The person who's made you afraid to have children or get married, to even fall in love? I know that I couldn't.
We all sat in silence, I said a silent prayer for my Uncle and godfather. May strength be with him, because it wouldn't be with me. "I'm alright. He doesn't recognize me. Everything is fine. It was a long time ago, I accepted it along time ago. Please, don't let this ruin the holiday." Moony smiled, passing me the mashed potatoes. He winked when he made sure my hand was on the bottom of the dish.
A chocolate frog.
I giggled, winking back at him. I shoved it in my pocket and conversation started up again. We all laughed and spoke normally, like nothing ever happened. Harry and I played the cutsie couple. We stayed wrapped up in each others arms, I giggled as I fed Harry, once I missed his mouth, and both of laughed. It was a lot of fun.
After lunch, we all went out on the hillside to play quidditch. We actually had enough people for teams! Bill conjured up a few goalposts and the seekers were Harry and Charlie. My team was stacked, as usual. Harry an I, my beaters, Dad and Fred. Then my other to seekers, Ginny an Nat. And I got Ron for keeper. We changed the lyrics to Weasley Is Our King, and gave him some confidence. The other teams seekers, Tonks, Molly, and Mione, all looked nervous and shaky on a broom. Uncle Lupin was staring at the beaters club like what the bloody hell is this for (which was quite amusing), George was glaring at me for not picking him for my team, and their keeper, Bill, was shouting about stacked teams.
"Oh quiet down Bill! If you're a good keeper, no need for beaters and chasers, just don't let anything in and we won't have any points. Unless of course, Harry catches the snitch. Should be good, we hadn't even come close to winning since Charlie left. Then Harry came along and well, the rest is history. You know, Ginny is a reserve seeker. She's very good. If Harry gets her, she'll take over as seeker, Demelza will be chaser, unless Katie gets back of course, and all will be good." I smiled, winking at Ginny. I knew she wanted to be seeker rather than Charlie, but no one but the people on the current team knew she was a seeker, let alone a brilliant one.
"Don't let anything an? How am I supposed to do that?! People talk about you three, I've seen you play together. You act like its nothing to launch a quaffle. You all have skill! I need at least one of you! Come on!" Bill whined, glaring at me.
"Game on!" I called, throwing the quaffle in the air. Nat got it, sticking her tongue out at Tonks. She threw it to me lazily, I caught it, narrowly avoiding a bludger from George. His team cheered, but mine laughed. I threw the quaffle to Ginny who zigzagged it to Nat, who threw it back to me, I threw to Nat, we were messing with Bill. Finally, Ginny got the quaffle and scored.
Dad was cheering and howling with laughter when he got hit with a bludger. I sent a glare at George, but he was staring at Moony in shock. "Skills!" George gasped, gaping at Moony. I laughed, scoring again while Bill was to busy laughing. Nat scored, I scored again, Ginny scored. Moony hit me with a bludger, so I took Fred's bat and whacked him, much to everyone else's amusement.
"OI! You sure you don't want to tell Dumbledore you ought a be captain when we get back? You'd be a good one!" Harry called, laughing at me. I shook my head, laughing back. We continued to play, finally it happened. Charlie and Harry both saw the snitch, everyone froze, each team cheering on their chaser. We were ahead 100-0. Hehe. But the could still win if Charlie gets that snitch. Harry smirked, talking to Charlie. Charlie gritted his teeth, shooting glares at Harry. Harry whispered one thing, Charlie stopped completely.
"I'll kill you in your sleep Potter!" He yelled, glaring at Harry. Harry laughed and snatched the snitch. We won! out whole team cheered Harry on as he laughed at a dumbfounded Charlie.
"Oh, and Charlie. I lied." Harry smirked, wrapping his arm around my waist. I giggled, blushing. I have a feeling I know what he said. Dad laughed loudly, his eyes bright.
"I love watching you kids play, but nothing beats actually being in the game!" He smiled, ruffling my hair. "You're good Princess. I've seen you play, and I knew you were amazing, but seeing it and being on the team are totally different things."
"You get used to it." Ron grumbled, but he still looked pretty pleased. The one time we left them get the quaffle, and Tonks got it with a determined look, she actually had a good shot, but Ron was better. He blocked it. Much to Bill's disbelief. He had scoffed when I picked Ron over him, but I reminded him Ron was on the team. And he'd saved several goals the last match. Speaking of which....
"Harry, have the scheduled our next match?" He nodded.
"Right after holiday." Nat, Ginny, an I squealed, but Ron seemed upset. I think he hoped he'd get away with one match and then a bunch of practices. No one was hungry, we'd eaten enough to feed an army at lunch, so everyone went off in different directions for the the night. Bill chased Fleur up the stairs, she was giggling like mad and I think we all knew what they were going to do. Nat and Fred played with the baby. George was going over new products with Ginny. Mum and Dad went up stairs to out the twins to bed. It was so cute the way they watched us play quidditch. Definitely future players.
Molly an Arthur were upstairs doing who knows what. Ron was creeping over towards Ginny and George. Tonks and Uncle Moony were outside, sitting together by the lake. That left Harry an I. we stood in the doorframe, watching everyone with happy smiles. Out of no where, mistletoe appeared over our heads. George had a cheeky smile on his face.
Harry smirked, grabbing me by the hips and tugging me to him. I smiled, looping my fingers through his belt loops to pull him closer. Our lips met and I smiled into the kiss. His tongue swept across my bottom lip, I shivered and opened my mouth to his request. Our tongues danced together, people whistled in the background, but we ignored them. I removed one hand and tangled it in his hair, making him groan. He squeezed my hip affectionately, and I moaned. People were now getting uncomfortable. Some cleared their throats, others left. I didn't realize some of them had come in.
Someone gripped our shoulders, pulling us apart. Dad stood there with a disgruntled look. "I don't like that you know how to get my daughter to make those sounds, but I'm not going to ask how you know." He sighed, glaring at George. "No more mistletoe."
"Harry makes Gracie make that sound a lot. Don't you Harry?" Nat smirked, a dangerous look playing in her eyes. Dad glared at her. "All the time. I hear it. It's a dirty sound. Then they come back and she has a red face and messy hair and the buttons on her clothes are only half done up. And Harry grins a very cheeky grin, and his shirt is all unbuttoned and his hair messier than usual." She blinked innocently, sounding like an innocent child. Harry an I stared at her, mouths agape. Dad turned to the two of us angrily.
"That is the biggest lie I have ever heard Natalyn! What I want to know is how you came up with that on the spot! unless of course, you're going by your own memories. The ones of Fred. Like last night for example?" I gave her a sickly sweet smile, batting my eyes innocently. Her smile faltered, she glared at me. All of the adults turned to Ginny and Hermione.
"Which one is lying?" Moony asked, glaring at Harry. Ginny bit her lip, a small smile.
"Well, Harry and Gracie do come back looking like they've had a good snog, but it's no where near what Nat described it as. Just messed up hair and puffy lips. An occasional hickey." She shrugged, Dad looked like he was trying to be proud or angry, like he wasn't sure, as did Moony. "Gracie's story however, sorry Nat, is completely true."
"Hermione?"
"Er, well, I've seen more than that out of Harry and Gracie. Though, like Ginny said, no where near Nat's story. Ginny was right about Nat's little escapade last night. The worst Harry an Gracie do are in their sleep. No joke. They don't even have to be near each other. It's weird." Mione shuddered, giving me my death sentence. I pushed myself up onto my toes, watching Charlie, Dad, and Moony try to control their temper.
"I'm not sure who they're mad at. Should we run?"
"Don't even think about it!" Dad snapped, closing his eyes and pinching the bridge of his nose. I gulped, grabbing Harry's hand. I backed away slowly, no one seemed to notice. I continued to back away, until we were in the kitchen.
"Run!" I said, running out the back door, Harry followed me quickly. I know a place, a wonderful wonderful place, that the twins made me when I was little. They don't even remember making it as far as I know. It's probably old by now, but I'm sure it's alright. I made sure Harry was behind me, then I started laughing, looking at the house. We got to the entrance, a cave with a wall of ivory over it. I always loved it because it made me feel like I was in a story book.
I ran through the ivory, going to the very back. There, stood a bunk bed and three other beds. The bunk bed for them, then the other three in case I wanted to invite Ginny and Ron. I always did whenever we came out here. It was old and dusty, but still cozy. The ivory kept the cold wind out somehow, so it was actually quite warm. Not to mention the stuff to make a fire in the corner. There was a bookshelf, with hundreds of books along one wall, then a chest of toys at the foot of my old bed. I used my wand to clean everything up, clear the dust, patch holes, etc. the beds were clean and looked like they hadn't been abandoned for thirteen years. I started a fire and smiled at Harry.
He was looking around in amazement. "What is this place?"
"A hide out the twins made me. They don't even remember it. Neither do Ron or Ginny, I only brought them along once. We used to camp out here when I was little. When they made it, there was only one rule. I couldn't come with out them. Looks like I broke the rules." I shrugged, looking around with a smile. Suddenly, I blushed, running over to rip a poster off the wall.
Harry raised an eyebrow with a cheeky smirk. I glared at him, hiding my poster. A poster of Harry, an I'm pretty sure there's a Harry Potter doll in that trunk. I blushed deeper just thinking about it. Harry grabbed the poster while I was caught up in my thoughts. There was a big heart around his face. Wizards who would see him in muggle shops would snap pictures, or use the memory to create pictures and then make posters and sell them. I had many. I blushed, watching him smile.
I sat on the chest, catching his attention. He ran over, picked me up and threw me over his shoulder, laughing. "Harry no!" I whined, hiding my face in my hands. He found the doll tucked safely into the corner. I don't think I've ever been more embarrassed.
Harry looked weird. "They actually had these?" He seemed shocks. I rolled my eyes.
"Harry, you're the boy who lived. Yes. Of course they did! Posters and dolls and amulets with your picture, things people claimed you signed. They had it all."
"And you were a fan?"
"Well, yeah." I muttered, dropping my head. He finally sat me down, smiling at me. He kissed me, then pulled back with a smile.
"Thanks. For always being my number one fan." I blushed, kissing him again.
"Forever and always."

"It's Christmas." I sighed, collapsing at the Christmas table. I'm tired. Those beds aren't comfortable. Ginny ran down the stairs, even though it's only four a.m. No one stayed up, so no one knew we were there till one. Just talking of course, but still. We pretended to be here all night. Everyone was in a much better mood now. Except Bill, who Charlie had told the story to.
"Come on. Everyone in a circle!" Ginny demanded, squealing. Christmas was always her favorite holiday. I'll save you the details like who opened the fest present, who passed them out, who gushed over what. I got Tonks a necklace with a wolf charm, Moony a lot of chocolate, Dad his own broom, Mum a whole basket of sweets and things like 'mother quotes', and a charm bracelet. Mione got a special edition book, only out for one Christmas. Nat got a new necklace, Ginny a green jeweled ring (with out a note so she wouldn't be angry with me. I had coordinated with Draco so she also got the matching bracelet.) Molly an Arthur got family pictures since that's what they love. Ron got sweets and gloves for the season. They've got a 'keepers' grip on them to help catch and throw a quaffle, Bill and Fleur got stuff for the wedding, and Charlie got new stuff I found that had to do with dragons. Couldn't tell you what they do, but eh. Thought that counts. The twins got a book of prank ideas, and Harry a load of stuff. Too much to mention.
I'd tell you what I got but it's a waist if effort. It takes too long. However the twins got new brooms from me and Kelly got a new kitten. That's really for her and Nat, since they both wanted one, but it's really Kelly's. We were all sitting around listening to the radio, when Bellatrix showed up. She was cackling, teasing Harry. He ran after her, wand drawn, so of course I followed.
"Harry!" I yelled, fighting my way through the talk grass. Mum and Dad, Moony and Tonks were calling me back, but I ignored them I have to find Harry! He's not thinking clearly, he could get killed! I have to find him!
"Gracie!" The pond! His voice is coming from the place the pond spills over! I raced there calling his name. I gasped when Fenrir came out of the grass behind me, his fangs bared.
"You!" I snapped, letting him know I'm not scared of him. I pointed my wand at his chest, daring him to come closer. I could hear Harry and Bellatrix dueling somewhere nearby. "I'll kill you, you know. You don't scare me. I hate you actually, you changed someone, someone very close to me. I wish I could have killed you then, I wish all the time I had a chance to get my revenge." I stayed deathly calm. It was just yesterday he was brought up, now here's my chance.
"Well, do it then. I'm right here!" He snapped, licking his teeth. He stared at me like I was a piece of meat. I glared at him with a smirk. I raised my wand, not ready to kill him. He should suffer first. Just like poor Uncle Moony.
"Gracie!"
"Go away!" I yelled, not looking away. That's all he needs to lunge and change me as well.
"Gracelyn Paige Black, get your ass away from him right now!" A cold voice I'd never heard before commanded, surprising me. I took a glance, I saw the movement out of the corner if my eyes.
"Reducto!" I shouted, waving my wand. Thank goodness I hit him, that could have been bad. He got up, changing into the most like vapor death eaters can turn to. I ran towards the voices. Harry and the adults were all standing in the middle, back to back their eyes watching. They all looked furious, but I was angry he got away. I wanted him to die, I wanted to know he'd never change another child again.
A gut wrenching cry was heard from the burrow. Molly. We all took off running, and when we got there, we all had tears in our eyes. The burrow, the first home I remember, was in flames. Lilly and James ran over, away from Nat. I picked her up as Harry picked up James. Mum and Dad hugged the four of us, holding each other close. Molly sobbed on Arthur while Ginny sobbed on George and Charlie and Ron. Bill stood by his brothers, gripping Fleur tightly. Even she was in tears. Fred and Nat were standing together, both of them clutching Kelly. Moony held Tonks close to his body, protecting her.
It was too much to bear. The fire went out, and we all walked inside, wary of what was to see. It wasn't too bad, mostly the attic. Nothing on the main floor or any of the bedrooms. The ghoul made it too. A few boxes and trunks were burned, and the roof was looking feeble, but it would survive. The burrow would survive. Arthur conjured a tent, everyone gathered their possessions and we all walked outside. Everyone was going to sleep in the tent with their things.
We conjured a second tent so it wouldn't be so cramped. All of the Weasley's and Nat stayed in one tent, Mum, Dad, the twins, Harry an I, and Moony and Tonks all stayed in our tent. Three rooms total, it worked out perfect. Arthur said the burrow would be fixed before the end of quidditch season, and we all had to go to bed.
"It's been a long day." I whispered, thinking if everything that's happened. Harry nodded, kissing my forehead. He rubbed soothing circles on my back. "I love you Harry."
"I love you too. Please don't ever do that again. The thing you were doing with Greyback."
"I won't."
"Good. I love you sweetheart, good night!" He kissed my forehead and I know he was asleep.
"I love you too." I whispered snuggling closer. I actually get safe, there I'm his arms. I suppose that's a good thing though, otherwise I'd be having nightmares all night. Harry will always be my protector. My safe house. And I'll be there for him I no matter what.
