18. Working Hard

"Good morning Nancy." I said greeting the secretary before heading into Tom's office. "Hunter, Ariana." She said nodding to the both of us.

We knew our way around so we headed up to Tom's office without wasting any time. "Hey, there are my stars!" Tom said leaning against his desk.

There was a big man in the corner of the room when we walked in, but I didn't see him at first since he was in the corner by the door.

"This will be your bodyguard, he will be your new best friend. His name is Dave." Ariana and I looked over at him and honestly, we were a little intimidated until it came to our senses that he's our bodyguard.

"Hey Dave." Ariana said with an uneasy wave. He smiled back which for some reason surprised me.

"There's one more thing I wanted to show you guys." Tom said going behind his desk and taking a newspaper off of the top of the piles of paper he had on the desk. "Look at this." He said handing me the newspaper.

I looked at it and Ariana did too. It was about us, and how we were at the concert last night signing and taking pictures with our fans.

"The word of you guys is getting out there now. You're number three on most downloaded songs in one day."

Tom came and patted me on the back, "Keep it up!" He said with a sheepish smile and Ariana put the newspaper back on the desk. "My manager, wants you, Hunter, to sing a song by yourself and that will be the next song on the radio. And then after that, Ariana will do her own single." I nodded my head a little confused.

"Oh okay." I said still unsure. "We can start now if you want. Let's go to the studio and we can start rehearsing." Tom and Dave left the office with Ariana and I still in there. "Well I guess I'm going to go rehearse." I said slowly walking out of the door waiting for her to say something.

"Okay, I'll go home or go out with my friends. Have fun!"

I was a little surprised she gave me the go. I thought she would be upset but I'm glad she was okay with it. "Thanks, see you later." I kissed her and walked the other way toward the studio to start learning the new song.

In my stomach were butterflies. I was excited to get my career going, and especially that I'm doing it with Ariana makes everything 100% better in my opinion.

"Step in, and I'll give you the music sheet. You will have a half hour to practice on your own and then we will take over from there, okay?" Kyle said handing me the sheet and then I shut the door. Skimming over it, I tried concentrating on the lyrics and rhythm.

4 hours later and I was free. I had lunch there so I wasn't hungry now. I was done for the day and I would clean the song up tomorrow and it would be on the radio soon enough.

Now nobody can forget my name since I'm making songs right and left. Making music made me so happy, I loved what I did.

I left the building and stood outside checking what time it was. Hmm I had a free day, but I wasn't sure what to do. I thought I would be a nice little brother and bring my sister some food during work. I went to her favorite restaurant and got her a "to go" box of some noodles that she liked.

"Hey kid." Her manager greeted me when I walked in. Bella was in the middle of her bikini photo shoot so I just chatted with the other models. She must have talked about me a lot because they all seemed to know who I was.

When Bella was done she put on a robe and walked over to me. "Hey little brother!" She said looking at the styrofoam box. I handed it to her and she grabbed it.

"What's this?" she asked opening it and then closing it. "You brought me this? Thank you so much, I'm starving!" Bells one handed hugged me and went to go to her dressing room to eat it.

"You're welcome." I said before she walked off where I couldn't see her any longer. When I said my good-bye's to the crew, I left to go home. I tried calling Tyler a few times but I think he ignored it every time.

When I was home I had some time to myself, so I listened to a lot of music and took a few pictures of myself after I made an instagram for the first time. It was weird having social media since I never had any of it before.

After about 2 hours I already had 300k followers. I stood on my balcony and watched the people down at the beach, but I mostly went out there to just enjoy the breeze and my surroundings.

Walking down to the beach, I jumped in the water for a bit of a refresher and then laid out in the sun too.

I was trying to tan but I wasn't getting as dark as I wanted. When my back started getting hot, I got up becasue that meant I was starting to burn.

I got home and quickly jumped in the shower because I felt all nasty from being in the water. 10 minutes later, I got out and I threw on a pair of sweatpants. I headed for the living room and Ariana was home.

"Hey! How was your day?" I asked as she set her shopping bags down. "I'm assuming you had fun since you have all those bags." I added and she turned to face me.

"I had a wonderful day! We went to the mall and ransacked almost every store there. I did have to sign a few things and take some pictures though." Ariana said unloading all of her clothes onto my bed and then walking back into the living room.

Out of nowhere, she came up to me and hugged me, but she wouldnt let go. I obviously hugged her back even tighter. I loved when I was holding her, it always made my day.

She rested her head on my chest and stayed there. "I'm glad we're doing this together Hunter. I wouldn't have wanted to do this with anyone else." Nuzzling her head into my chest, I hugged her even tighter.

"You're so beautiful. I dont care if we have this fame or not, as long as I have you I'm set for life." I said kissing her head and then rocking her back and forth lightly a bit.

She pulled from the hug and then continued unpacking her shopping bags.

Bella walked through the door a few minutes later when Ariana was done. I just sat on the couch and flipped through the channels. I thought about what song I should sing for guitar class but I thought I could just hand in an audio copy of my new song. My teacher should understand, I'm always busy from this work.

Well good news for me, my teacher understood and said I could just email him a copy because I never know when I'm going to get pulled out of school for work.

Music theory came and I was one of the first people in class. I sat in my normal seat and waited for kids, and not so much kids, to walk into class so we could start. Ariana came in after a few people and sat down after saying hi to me.

And then Tyler walked in with a few of his friends. He didn't even look at me, but instead took a seat in one of the few empty seats up front. I was confused but I understood he was still pissed at me.

"Tyler!" I said trying to get his attention, but everyone else's conversations drowned my one call out.

"Tyler!" I tried again hoping he would hear me this time. He did and turned around slowly, but when we made eye contact, our teacher walked in and Tyler turned back around to listen to todays lecture.

Stupid teacher, does he not understand he's lecturing while I'm trying to get my friend's attention.

Was he really this mad that he can't talk to me?

The bell rang later and I got up to leave but Tyler stopped me, and he did not look happy. He stood tall right in front of me and it scared me a bit. He took a deep breath, and then opened his mouth to say something to me. I just hoped he wouldn't hit me.
