"Wow, great job mom." Ariana said looking at the table as her mom brought in the big plate of ham. I quickly went over to help her place it on the table and she thanked me.
Ariana and I took our seats across from each other and her mom at the point of the table. My mouth was watering. The food looked extremely delicious. We were having ham, corn and mashed potatoes.
I unfolded the napkin and put it on my lap politely. After her mom gave us permission to eat, I dug right in.
A few minutes went by, and that's when the questions started to be asked. "So, Hunter, do you work?" She asked me cutting a piece of her ham.
"Well, I'm in the music business with Ariana. We get paid for well, making music." She nodded her head like that was an acceptable answer. "I have seen you guys in the paper." She told us after thinking about it.
"What paper mom?" Ariana asked curiously wiping her mouth. "The time you guys were at the concert."
Suddenly I was reminded of that night. I tried to wipe it away quickly from my memory and continued with dinner. "Ari, where have you been staying?" Her mom asked taking another bite of her ham. I started to pour salt and pepper on my mashed potatoes when she answered.
"I have been staying at Hunter's. His sister said it was okay if I stayed with them. They have been treating me very well." Her mom smiled and there were no more questions for awhile.
In an hours time we all managed to clean off all our plates. I was the last to stand up from the table and Ariana and I helped pick up dinner. When that was all finished we gathered back into the living room.
"Thanks mom for dinner. It was really good." Ariana complimented giving her one last hug goodbye. "Thank you Mrs. Lovalo." I said. "Oh please, call me Amy." She said smiling and waved us goodbye as we walked to my car.
As soon as we got home, Bella started with the question. "Where have you guys been?" She asked coming out of her room.
Ariana looked at me and then her, "I'm going to get ready for bed and start packing." She said excusing herself and going into my room. Bella looked at me confused, waiting for an answer.
We took a seat in the living room and I told her how Ariana will be moving out and that we had dinner at her house this evening. Bella gave me her pouty face, "Awh I liked her staying here." She said. I sighed, "I know me too sis, but she choose to go live with her mom again, and remember we can see her whenever we want."
Bella nodded her head and went back to her room but stopping at mine first to say goodnight to Ariana, and then she was gone.
"Well I guess this is our last night together." I said walking into my room and turning on the tv. Ariana was folding her clothes that she bought and placed them neatly on my bed.
I took off my shirt and laid in my bed on top of the covers and against my headdress. "Don't get me wrong, I don't want to leave you and Bella, but my mom is all alone now."
I rested my arms behind my head for rest. "Don't worry about it. We can always see each other anytime we want. And besides, it's your mom. I don't blame you for picking her over me." I laughed and she finished folding her clothes.
Ariana moved them onto the floor and then joined me in bed. "This is the last night we'll be sleeping together." She said. I put my arm around her and moved her closer to me so her head was against my chest.
"Then lets make the best of it." She was so warm against my body it felt so good. I'm going to have to get used to her not being around me all the time now.
