I narrowed my gaze towards the two who were standing nearby the fountain. When they notice me standing there, that indifferent look in their faces didn't change. 'Perhaps.. the fountain was the source of all those low leveled demons after all..', I thought as I observed the two unfamiliar presences that were not that far away from me. I assumed that they were demons as well ? I raised my guard and sighed softly into the night. It was obvious that they were observing me as well. Their eyes were locked onto my every movement. I wasn't surprised when they moved first. Within a blink of an eye, they disappeared into the shadows of the night. I didn't move. The sudden change in the air around me explained everything.
"Hmm ?", a voice said behind me, "What an interesting human we have here." I kept my gaze foreword, not even bothering to turn around. I was already aware of the situation that I was in. Beside, the sound of a faint 'clinking' told me to stay in place. Pretty soon, there was something cold being pressed against the side of my neck. It caused me to straighten up. "Human", the same voice said to me, "Do you value your life ?" I nodded my head slowly. There seemed to be a slight hint of interest in this voice. "Then tell me", it said, moving the blade closer to my neck, "Where is the guardian of the Makai Gate ?" "Guardian ?", I repeated softly, looking up at the night sky. I feigned a confused voice but continued to move with caution. "What do you mean ?", I said, "What guardian ?" From the corner of my eye, I could see a smirk. I was shoved foreword and landed on the hard pavement with a painful 'thud'. I gently pushed myself up to see someone looming over me with a smile. However, in those eyes, there lingered a hostility. That person, a boy who seemed to be around the same age as I, lifted my chin with his hand. I was forced to look up at him. Something I took note of was his silver colored hair and sharp gaze. A sense of familiarity struck me, but I didn't know why. I don't know this boy.
"Human", he said in a cold, indifferent tone this time, "Where is the guardian of this gate ?" I didn't respond to him which seemed to agitate him a bit. That was when someone appeared behind him. The second person that I had seen. "Oi, oi", he said to the silver haired boy in a scolding manner, "What if she's just one of those humans ? We can't assume that she knows what you're talking about." The boy scowled at his companion as I pulled away from his grasp. I sat on my legs and tried to process the situation. 'Just one of those humans ?', I asked to myself, trying not to break out into a smirk. How amusing these two were, even if they were demons. 'Are you referring to the weak and fragile ones ?' I refocused when something cold touched the side of my neck again. Glancing up, I saw two overwhelming figures. "Human", his companion said to me, with a sympathetic smile, "You must forgive my companion here. He did not mean to startle you like that." I titled my head to the side, to the side without the blade. "What will you do now ?", I asked in a soft voice, "Will you kill me ?" They both looked at each other. I was debating. I was gambling this situation. His response would determine my next action. When they looked back, I tried to look afraid. I tried to look helpless like the weak and fragile human girl that I was to these demons. What a joke.
My eyes didn't move away from the two who were standing in front of me. To my surprise, his companion brought the blade down and away from my neck. He knelt down beside me and grinned. The silver haired boy who was standing behind him glared at me with some form of disapproval on his face. "That'd be a waste", he was saying with a carefree tone, "Don't you think ?" I tried to respond like a "normal" human. I was supposed to act surprised. "S..so you.. won't kill me ?", I hesitantly asked. His companioned nodded his head and stood up. "But on one condition", he said with a mischievous look in his eyes. He took a step back and looked towards the fountain.
"You have to help us find what we're looking for."

That night, I didn't get any sleep. I was too bothered by the fact that I was being monitored. But luckily for me, those two didn't followed me home. I was sure that they'd figure out what kind of person I was sooner or later. If they had followed me home, they would have instantly knew. And when that happened, they would've really killed me. I sighed into the pillow that I was hugging and closed my eyes. Ciel would eventually catch on as well.
The boy with silver colored hair was called Tsukiya and his companion was named Seiji. As I had expected, they were both demons that had come through fountain. They were like those low leveled demons except that they were much stronger. I say this because it's not exactly a lie. If I had been given the chance, I would've been able to seal away the gateway that was connected to the fountain but.. perhaps that'll be for another time. Now that I was being monitored by those two, I was aware that I was being limited to what I could do. They'd "easily" be able to kill me if I made a mistake. Tsukiya especially. He didn't like the idea of me leaving with my life, but Seiji apparently had other plans for me. In a way, I guess you could say that I was a pawn now.
After Seiji had told me that they needed to me find the "guardian" of the seal, Tsukiya threw something at me. I didn't know what it was, but about 5 seconds in, there was a faint burning sensation on my neck. Tsukiya had walked up to me and touched the marking that had suddenly appeared on my neck. "Consider this as a contract", he was saying with a smirk on his face, "This seal will only disappear once we get what we want. If I were you, I'd think twice about what choices you decide to make from here on out." Tsukiya stepped away from me but kept kept his gaze locked on me. "Because the moment you decide to cross us", he added in coldly, "I'll kill you."

I grinned at the thought of being killed. For the last time, I yawned and finally began to feel a bit drowsy. I took a deep breath and sighed.
My, what to do, what to do.
