It's been four years. Four freaking years since you first met Dan over Twitter. He'd become one of your closest and only friends that you can trust. And trust is a difficult thing for you to handle.

But something feels right about this. Besides the fact that you told your parents you were just going on an outing with a couple of friends for the weekend, when really you got yourself a one-way ticket to London.

Oops.

Dan is something else though. No one would ever cause you to do something so crazy but yet, here you are, descending from the sky and into the city of London.

Seeing all the beautiful buildings in the day light makes you wonder what they would've looked like had it been dark out.

Either way, they are gorgeous.

"Please keep your seat belts buckled until we have come to a complete stop at our gate. Thank you!" A woman says through the intercom.

The same woman came on the speaker again but this time, speaking French.

"s'il vous plaît garder vos ceintures de sécurité bouclée jusqu'à ce que nous sommes arrivés à un arrêt complet à notre porte . Je vous remercie!"

You assume that she's just repeating what she had previously said.

The airport comes into view and you start to feel your nerves peeking through. What if he doesn't show up? What if he forgets about you? You can't help but question his reliability. But then again it's Dan, he'd never forget about you.

A loud ding sounds over head and everyone starts standing up. You'd totally missed the landing. How is that even possible? You shake it off and wait to put your backpack on until you're in the aisle.

Nobody seems to be kind enough to let you through, though, except for one older lady. She smiles as you walk past her. You stroll through the gate into the airport and it's packed with people.

Everyone that goes by you, with the exception of a few, have very thick accents. Now your first mission is to find baggage claim. Your fellow plane mates seem to all be walking in the same direction so you follow them.

Even the little convenient stores along the sides of the walls are different and cute. You almost want to stop and spectate but you stick to your plan.

The people here all look so fancy and business like compared to you and your skinny jeans a loose t-shirt. There's probably something mutating in your hair right now too but there's no mirrors nearby to do a quick fringe check.

Fringe checking is Dan's thing but it's starting to rub off on you like everything else he says. Like the time he told you about his existential crisis thing and somehow you couldn't help but notice that you get them too. Now it's way more frequent.

He's basically corrupted you but you don't mind. And it's not like it's one sided. You've gotten him into Minecraft and Cheetos and even the TV show Supernatural which he's tried to avoid for so long. So basically it's a win win situation.

The baggage claim area was also packed with people. The bags seemed to already be flying into the conveyer belt so you start to panic that you missed your bag.

Then you remember that it comes back around a few times if nobody claims it. Hence the baggage claim.

You push through a clearing and scan the suitcases for a large black one with a Justin Bieber sticker on the front. Since the only suitcase you own is generic and black, you wanted something to make it stand out. Justin Bieber's face was the first thing that came to mind.

Luckily it worked as you notice your bag sliding towards you. Once you get a firm grip on it, you lift it up and onto the ground. Great. Now time to find out where Dan is.

You move away from the crowd and into an open space so you can call him. You start to feel nervous that he could be anywhere right now and could totally see you.

But you proceed to click his contact and bring your phone up to your ear.

"Hey!" He sounds chirpier than usual.

"Hi! I've finally landed."

"That's great, how was the flight? Long I suppose?"

"Very. But it was all worth it. I can't believe that I'm here."

You start to scope out the terrain.

"Anyway, where are you? I'm very anxious to see your face."

"Right well, the thing is that I couldn't quite make it in time. I had to deal with Phil and his bloody house plants and totally missed the time. But I've sent a cab to pick you up."

Disappointment runs through you along with a little bit of anger. Trust was all you put into him and he can't even even remember to pick you up. Maybe this trip was for nothing? You decide to let it slide since you'd probably manage to do the same thing to him.

"It's alright, where do I go exactly to look for my taxi?"

"Go to the main exit and you should see a bunch of people standing by the door. Look for your name."

"Alright, I'll see you eventually." You sigh.

As soon as you hang up you begin walking towards the exit. You try to look through everyone but it's very difficult. This clearly wasn't going to work. It's time that you become part of the city and just push through everyone.

Surprisingly it works and you can see the cab and limo drivers standing together by the door.

You look at every sign and every person. None seem to have your name on them. But then you notice a tall figure standing at the end holding a piece of cardboard with your name written on it in terrible handwriting.

The person has a drivers cap on and is hiding his face well, but you're no fool. He's wearing skinny jeans and a black shirt. Noticeably the style of the Dan you know.

You're in so much shock at the fact that he's actually there; just only a few feet away when he always seemed so far. Eventually he glances up and sees you immediately. His thin lipped smile turns into a dimply grin.

You drop your suitcase right in the middle of the floor and jog to him without a car in the world. He lowers his sign and stretches out his arms as you jump into them.

You hear a few 'awes' behind you but you're too focused on being in your best friends arms to care.

"Got ya." Dan whispered into your hair with a slight chuckle.
