"I honestly don't understand why you're so into him." Your friend Claire looks at you with an intrigued expression.

One thing you love about her is that she genuinely will listen to you and ask questions to keep a conversation going.

You had just finish finished reading her a tweet from your favorite YouTuber Dan Howell when she had asked you that question.

"Well, there's lots of reasons. They kind of drag on."

She shakes her head and scoots closer to you on the couch.

"No no, tell me. I'm honestly very interested to know."

You think about it for a second, trying to gather up the right words to explain why you love the oh-so-famous Danisnotonfire.

It's hard when you have to pinpoint specific reasons. There's just so many.

"Um, well first off, he's helped me with a lot of things that others probably couldn't. Like social skills and body issues. He's got this attitude about him that really helps me to understand who he is and why he does the things he does.

"I know that he hides his true self behind his jokes and cruel words. But it doesn't make it any less obvious how insecure he is, which baffles me because he's literally the most amazing person I have never met.

"I connect with him so much it's actually insane. When he posts a video talking about his life and weird stuff that he does, I can't believe how similar we are.

"He says he has an this thing called an existential crisis a couple times a week and I literally do the same. I think it has something to do with anxiety and overthinking. But that's just my thoughts on it.

"And not only does he have a great personality, but his looks. Don't even get me started on how naturally beautiful he is. There's this thing that the fandom has made up called 'accidental model Howell' and it's basically any candid picture of Dan where he looks like a model unknowingly.

"He could literally be staring at his phone reading smut and his complexion would look stunning. He also has these dark, but also kind of light, brown eyes that hold so much. You can see the weight of the world through them and his eyelashes are like a barrier.

"Sometimes when I'm watching his videos, I'll close my eyes and just listen to him talk. It's so smooth and soothing. It helps me sleep on nights where I can't.

"I know he'll never acknowledge me as a person but I'm okay with that because he's done enough for me already. I just..I really wish I could thank him face to face for everything. You know?"

You glance over at Claire who's now wide eyed.

"I had no idea.." She says softly, "But I get what you mean completely."

A horn sounds from outside, startling you a bit. Claire gets up and grabs her purse.

"That's my mom," she turns to give you a hug, "And I'm still throwing you a birthday party this weekend whether you like it or not."
