Why Am I Saving Prince Charming- Part Three
Almost Twelve Years Later:
Miah's POV:
Miah stormed into her room. Those jerks! She growled...
Mumbling to herself she angrily thought about the latest incident at school....
"Hey bull frog...when are you going to let Prince Charming turn you into a princess?" taunted Bully Musketeer One
"Yeah or have you already tried and the Prince ran away..." chuckled Musketeer Two
"Jeremiah was a bull frog... dun dun DUN!!!" the Third Musketeer started singing...
And so it went on...for the whole day...the whole school even chipped in with the song...teachers even hummed along...
Grrrr...Her dad had accidently (air quotes) named her Jeremiah thinking that she would be a boy. Her parents had made a deal...if she was a boy, her father got to choose the name...if she was a girl then her mother would choose...
Her father, seeing the baby wrapped in something NOT pink automatically assumed that she was a boy...
(Melody had told the doctor and nurses that her baby was NOT to be wrapped in a pink monstrosity- she hated the color pink with a passion)
He ran to the nurse and told her what my name was to be...
Once he got back to Melody, my mom...he told her what he named me...
"Jeremiah?? ...BUT WE HAD A GIRL!!!!!!" Melody screamed
"Oh...oops" David whispered
They had tried to change the name but my dad had already put it on paper, so... Mom gave me my middle name, the name that would have been her choice for the first name...Harmony
I am glad that dad thought I was a boy...
If Harmony was going to be my first name...the teasing would have only been worse...

"Mom...I don't want to go to school tomorrow...or ever" Miah told her mother angrily at dinner
"Dear, no matter what, you have to go to school" Melody sighed...Miah had been telling her she didn't want to go to school ever since Chris moved away...
"But this time even the TEACHERS sang along!" Miah complained...
Her dad chirped in... hoping to lighted the mood, "Just think...with all that knowledge you are getting... you can beat all of the annoying people with your big brain or your head...whichever is at hand" chuckling at his own joke...(more air quotes)
"I'll go to school...I'll go to school...I'll do anything you want...just please no more jokes!" Miah gave a shudder for emphasis
After dinner, Melody got the usual phone call from her childhood friend Sammy, "Melody! We have to have a reunion between us and the kids!" Sammy exclaimed
"Okay! When, Where and Why?" Melody was completely happy with the idea...
Sammy went into explaining the "promise" and told Melody that the twelve years were up on Thursday...
"We can meet half way between our homes...at that restaurant that we all went to for celebrating our anniversaries (they were exactly a year apart) we can take the kids out of school for two days then have all weekend! I know Chris would be thrilled with missing a few days of school. We can even keep the reunion a secret until we are about to have dinner" telling Melody her plan
"Perfect! I love this idea" Melody more than ready to see Sammy in person again
"Then it is settled" Sammy exclaimed
Melody found Miah in her room...
"Miah, why don't we take a trip...Just you and me?" Melody asked her
"Okay....when do you want to go? Miah asked suspiciously, her mother was constantly trying to get her more and more girly...this could be another trip to the mall (shudder) or the spa (shudder!)
"Let's leave tonight!" Melody said...already getting up so she could go and pack...
"Pack for four days!" Melody told her, hoping to spend as much time with her friend as possible...
"Mom...this isn't going to be another spa vacation...right?"
Silence...
"RIGHT!!!"
Silence...
"MOM!" Miah screamed
"What? Oh no sweetie...sonemthing even better than the spa" Melody replied
Great Miah thought...
