Why Am I Saving Prince Charming- Part Eight

Miah's Pov:

Once I was dressed I walked out into the room and sat on the bed. Chris wasn't in the room; he must

have gone into Sammy's room while he was waiting for me to finish dressing, I figured.

I decided to wait for him to return, in the mean time I thought about all that has already happened so

far between Chris and her. Why did I take such offense when Chris seemed to be making jokes on

my expense? Usually I would just brush the comment off of have a comeback that would make the

joker feel lower. No, it was the fact that I was already starting to feel something for him and when

I had started feeling doubts about the person Chris now is, he did something to make me think my

worst fears had come true.

My worst fears could still come true, if Chris turns out to be some kind of womanizer or a bully.

I looked up at the door as Chris walked into the room then sat next to me on the bed. His hair was

wet, he was dressed in jeans and a button down white shirt that made his eyes all the more green...

"Do you want to go get something to eat?" He asked timidly

"Yeah, that's fine...what about mom and Sammy?"

"Oh, I told them that we needed some time to ourselves in order to figure out what we are going to

do" he said assuredly

I paused to think...

Was this some kind of trick or was he really trying to make this work?

Okay, there could be worse things than being around some strange man that I've just met after not

seeing him for twelve years...

Pause...

Hmm...

I know there are worse things...

Think....think...

Ah ha!

Worse would be being with him AND his mom AND her mom all together and having to listen while

Sammy and mom made wedding plans....

THAT would be worse!

Sighing...she turned back to him...

"Okay...Lets go get something to eat. You can answer some of my questions while we wait for our

food"

At Denny's

Chris's Pov:

Miah and I had finished ordering our food...we both got our favorites...

French toast and strawberry milk

"That is just too weird...do we like ALL of the same food??" Miah sighed

"Another question is do we hate the same food"

"I don't like ketchup" Miah quickly put in

"Me either, but I like Sloppy Joes which has ketchup in the ingredients"

"Sigh...same" replied Miah

"I don't like cheese in most of my food"

"Me either, but I do like Macaroni and Cheese" Miah said hopefully
