I went into the kitchen and let them know we were leaving. We grabbed Dean and they carried him out. As we walked past the guys Josh smirked while everyone else looked down.
"Don't leave." Blake begged but Josh got behind him and placed his hand on his shoulder.
"I must." I told him before leaning forward and whispering, I'll be back. We were almost to the treeline when Alec came running out.
"Alec? What are you doing?" I asked and he smiled.
"I'm coming. I'm not going to stay here without the love of my life." He said and I blushed. Something was different in him know.
"Follow me." He said and we did. He led us to his house where we gathered supplies for the trip. We all were getting ready to leave when the howling began.
"Who's that?" Blake asked and Alec sighed.
"I can't leave her here, Tara." He said and I nodded.
"Bring here." I said and he nodded. He went up the stairs and came down seconds later with her behind him. A young girl with her long blond hair and in a night gown.
"Don't you have other clothes for her?" I asked and he shook his head.
"Give her to me." I said walking over and holding out my hand. She took it and I picked her up carrying her over to my house.
"Tara?" She asked once we entered.
"Yes, Alexis?" I carrying her up my stairs.
"Where are we going? Ali told me we were going to a forest with big doggies?" She asked and I set her down.
"That's correct, dear." I said and she frowned.
"I'm afraid of doggies." She said and I felt a strange feeling of irony.
"They're nice doggies." I explained before we walked down the hall. I opened the second guest bedroom which was cluddered with boxes of old clothes, books and toys from when I was her age. I gasped at the woman in the black cloak and protectively hid Alexis behind me. The woman tired revealing her face.
"Mother? What are you doing here?" I asked and she looked down at the photos in her hand. It was of me when I was first born. A man was holding me in his hands. I brushed the dust away from the face of the man and gasped. It was a younger version of Sisca. I looked down at he photo and mother looked at me. I noticed the bag beside her and frowned. She noticed it too and sighed.
"I'm coming too. You need a good witch on your team to help you heal Dean." She said and I sighed.
"I guess we do." I said and looked down at Alexis.
"Mom, where's the clothes from when I was four?" I asked and she smiled at Alex before turning and grabbing a box.
"You'll need some pants and a warm jacket and shirt. Oh, and shoes." Mother said pulling the things out. I turned to Alexis handing her the things and walking her to my bedroom. I left her to dress while I stood outside the bedroom. I looked down the hall to see mother come from out of the second guest room and look at her old bedroom. She reached out and placed her hand on the door knob but stopped not turning it. I knew more than her the pain of loosing him. The father I thought I knew, lost, then regained and lost again. I moved from my spot by the door and went beside her. She looked up at me and I smiled. I placed my hand on hers and turned the knob. The door opened and creaked revealing the same made bed and all the belongings in place from the same day they left to go to the airport. The only change were the picture boxes I slid in place next to the wall after I couldn't take their happy faces staring at me making me miserable. She seemed to crumble as the room was revealed. As if she couldn't walk a few feet and see father, kiss him, love him. I went seven years without seeing either of them yet they could have changed my misery. She stepped forward and tears spilled down her cheeks and on to the ground. She walked to the bed and placed her hand over the blanket not trying to touch it because of the memories. She moved her hand from over the blanket to over her mouth. A smile lightened her face as she seemed to remember something from that day. She realized I was still there and sighed.
"The day we were leaving, we had planned everything. It was a surprise for your birthday the next week. We were going on a business trip in your grandmother's town and planned to have someone get you on a plane ride out the next day." She said walking around the bed and picking up the book she had been reading that week.
"Your father and I had made it to the airport when an old friend of mine bumped into us. He was in an enemy clan of your father's. They changed in public and fought as wolves. I used my magic to make them break apart but I got the spell wrong. I erased your fathers memories of the past fourteen years causing him to forget me and you. I couldn't go he out your father. You loved him so much more then you did me. So I faked it, all of it. I planted decoys and crashed the car using my powers. They called you and then I called letting them know I was your aunt moving in with you. I only came back I've and that was to plant that cloak you are wearing under the bed." She said wiping the tears from her face. I felt myself step forward and I engulfed her in a huge hug.
"Your wrong. I loved you both very much and when I found out I was broken." I told her and she smiled at me. Alexis walked in with one of my old shirts with the sleeves too long and smiled at me causing me to chuckle.
