I traveled down the coast and found myself parked at Pismo Beach. The freezing ocean wind and millions of people were turns off but I still found myself standing on the edge of the water with my feet in the up coming waves. I felt eyes on me and looked to see a group of guys standing off to the side. I felt the Lycan tension but ignored it until a girl came up to me.

"My name is Mira." She introduced herself. I could feel the Lycan in her.

"Tara McGuire." I said shaking her hand.

"I've never met another female like me." She said and I smiled and looked at the group of boys.

"Is that your pack?" I asked and she nodded.

"That's Joseph, Grey, Michael and Chris. Their my older brothers." She explained and I nodded.

"Listen, I know this is weird but can I buy you a drink, perhaps?" She asked and I nodded. I followed her to a nearby diner where we say talking and drinking soda.

"Mira, its time to go." A tall black hair man said. His piercing green eyes scanned over me like a creep causing me to shutter.

"It was nice meeting another person like me. Goodbye." She said before standing and leaving with him. I left shortly after wards and went to my car. I was driving to pull onto the interstate when I was faced with too decisions. Continue to Canada, run from my pain and fears or take the other turn, face my pain and fear and go home where I belong. Is my choice that obvious?

When I got back into the valley I went straight to the pack house. I decided on calling it that because we were going to be a pack, and the house I grew up in would be just the house or home. I went up the steps and instead of walking in, I knocked on the door. The door opened revealing Sisca, who was at first sad but on seeing me lightened up.

"Tara. Come in." He said stepping aside and letting me in. I entered walking past him and into the living room. There the boys sat doing what I suspect was homework. When they seen me Alec stood up and stepped across the room in two huge strides before hugging me.

"God, Tara. I thought I'd never be able to see you again!" He said into my shoulders and I hugged him back. For some reason when he said those words my heart skipped nine beats and I blushed. He pulled away and looked me with his blue eyes.

"What brought you back?" He asked and I sighed. I pulled away from him and looked at all the boys. Josh stared at me as I stepped forward.

"I came back to face what must be. I want to be part of his pack but know none of you boys. I understand the tradition and respect them but before o can just pick someone to marry I want to get to know you all. Every single one of you has something interesting about each other. I want to be able to go on dates with each of you to learn more about each other and in the end I'll pick one of you." I said and Blake smiled.

"So like a game? Who ever can win the maiden gets to keep her?" He asked and I looked at him. I was about to say something when Josh stepped forward.

"Are you seriously going to do this? You and I both love each other. That's all we need isn't it?" He asked and I looked at him.

"I'm not sure I love you, Josh. Anyways is your definition, give flowers then sleep with Natalya?" I asked causing a chorus of O's to sound before he turned and stomped out. I looked down and felt tears filling my eyes.

"So what are the rules?" Blake asked and I looked up. I took a deep breath and faked a smile.

"Nobody younger then twenty, older than twenty five." I began and everyone looked at Zacar and Sisca. Blake growled and Nisk pouted.

"I wasn't participating." Sisca said and Zacar just shrugged.

"Obviously nobody in a relationship." I said and Adren smiled.

"I have a steady relationship I'm not willing to ditch it." Adren said and I saluted him.

"At any time you are allowed to date other girls and leave the game. You cannot rejoin it, though." I explained and they nodded.

"No sex." Sisca said and they looked at him.

"Once two Lycans mate they are the others partner forever." He said and I cringed but looked at the boys.

"No sex." I said and they nodded.

"How long will this last?" Sam asked and I looked at Sisca.

"You have to be part of the pack by ritual days so you have three years." Sisca explained and I nodded. Caspen smiled and stood.

"I'm going to play." He said and the rest of the guys growled.

"But your like thirty!" Blake cried and he growled.

"I'm twenty three." Caspen growled and Blake sat crossing his arms. The rest of the boys laughed while he sat there. I was about to say something when there was a knock at the front door.

"Well, we are popular today." Zacar said standing to go get it. He left the room and the boys began talking but he came back with a concerned look on his face.

"Sisca, Sam, Tara come here." He called and I walked out followed by Sam with Sisca in front of me.

"Sam." Lucy cried from the bench she sat on. Her make up was running down her face and she was holding her stomach.

"I'm so sorry, I didn't know where else to go." She whimpered an Sam stepped forward to hold her but Sisca looked at him causing him to stop.

"Sam, what's going on?" Sisca asked and Sam sighed.

"Were in love Sisca. I didn't mean to break tradition but I love her and will die if I have to so they may live." Sam said stepping in front of Sisca and blocking Lucy.

"They?" Sisca and Zacar asked in unison.

"She's pregnant with my child." Sam said and Sisca seemed taken aback.

"Sam, is this why you were never home? All those study nights all those days you wouldn't come home until late at night or not at all? Because you were with her?" He asked and Sam nodded. I could see the evident disappointment change in his face.

"And you both love each other very much?" Sisca asked and they nodded.

"Then welcome to he pack. I'll let he boys know there will be a wedding." He said turning and leaving them. I looked at them and they both seemed taken aback by his kindness. I smiled and hugged Lucy before we went into the living room. Sam introduced Lucy to the boys as herself instead of the mean looking hunter she used to be and they hugged her. They even began planning the wedding while I went home.
