Chapter 22

Jess' p.o.v

I saw Hunters ex girlfriend. She was walking with a group of friends. "Hunter look over there" I said whispering. "Oh my gosh" he said looking at her. "What're you going do?" I asked laughing. He jumped behind me and Jacob attempting to hind behind us.

"Hunter" she yelled from a distance. "Ugh" he groaned. "Oh hey what're you doing here" he said annoyed. "Oh just hangin with some friends, who's the girl" she asked. "Oh that's my friend Jess" he said looking back at me.

"Hi" I smiled. She gave me a dirty look. "She's so annoying and rude" Jacob said. "Um I heard that" she said looking at Jacob with sass. "That was the point" he said and I laughed.

"How long did they date for" I asked Jacob. "4 months, it took him 4 months to realize she was a psychopath" Jacob said and I laughed. "Omg" I laughed. "We should hang some time" I heard Amber say. "Uhhh..." Hunter hesitated. "What're you doing tomorrow" she asked. "Hanging out with them" hunter said looking back. "So we can join as well, I'll text you" Amber smiled and gave hunter a hug. "Ok, well bye" he said trying to get her off of him. "That was so awkward-" hunter said getting interrupted by his ringtone (text). "She just texted me" he said, Jacob and I laughed. "Someone really likes you" I smiled. "I don't want her to like me" he groaned. "She's annoying and obsessed" he said. "She can't be that annoying" I said. "Yes she is" hunter and Jacob said in sync.

We got back to hunters house. Things weren't awkward anymore. "I'm going to take a shower" hunter said. "Ok we'll just watch a different movie" I said and grabbed the control.

"Alright" he said walking up the stairs. "Jacob let's talk, we haven't done that in a while" I said. "Okay sure lets talk" he laughed. "How's life" I asked. "Good and yours" he asked. "I would say pretty good, how's your sister" I asked. "Same old, same old" he said. "I wanna apologize for what I did" I said. "So do I, I was mad but I obviously didn't mean anything I said to you guys, you're like my fave girl to talk to" he said. "Already knew that, go on" I said and we laughed. "You're one of my favourite boys to talk to" I smiled.

"Wait, you said one of am I beating hunter" he said. "Uhh yea-" I said. "I'm just kidding" he smiled. Jacob turned on Netflix and picked the movie. "I'm bored, let's have a pillow fight" I said and stood on the couch. "Nahh I don't wanna hurt you" he said. "Ok but I do" I said and whacked him with the pillow. Jacob put his face in his hands, looking like he was about to cry. "Jacob are you ok" I said feeling guilty.

"Yea I guess" he said and grabbing the pillow and hitting me with it. "Cheater"
I called and smacked him with it. "That's what makes the game more fun" he said and through the pillow at me, I ducked. "Hahaha sucker" I said and grabbed the pillow and hit him with it. Jacob threw another one, this time it hit the lamp, making it shatter.

"you idiot" I laughed and pushed him. "Maybe the won't realize" he said. "Yes they will" I laughed. "Fine, lets clean it up and don't tell them about it" I said. We grabbed the large chunks of glass and put them in the plastic bag. "Let's have a bet" he said. "On what" I asked.

"To see if they'll notice, you say yes, I say no" he said. "Am I right" he asked. "Okay your on" I said. "I'm obviously going to win, what's the prize" I said. "Well let the games begin" he said putting his hands in the air. I laughed.

"You have to kiss me, if I win" he said. "Um no you pervert" I laughed. "Yes" he said. "I already know I'm winning so sure, if I win you have to buy me Starbucks" I smiled. Jacob and I vacuumed the area and sat down like nothing happened. "You can't tell them" he said. "Ya no shit" I laughed. "I mean you wouldn't because I know you wanna kiss me" he said. "Oh don't get all cocky now" I rolled my eyes.

"Not being cocky, just telling the truth" he said. "Whatever Jacob" I said.

"What's going on in here" hunter said coming down from the stairs. "Nothing" I said and he plopped down on the couch. "No, no, no somethings wrong I know you guys did something" he said. "Like what" Jacob said and we were both thinking the same thing. "Jess tell me what you guys did" he said lifting an eyebrow up. "We did nothing, I don't know what else to tell you" I said looking down.

"I'm just playing with you both" he said and I felt the relief. Jacob and I laughed. "What's so funny" hunter asked. "Just an inside joke" I smiled. "Oh okay" hunter said. "We should order mcdonalds later on" Jacob suggested.

"Yea sure" hunter said. We decided to chill in the backyard since it was really warm and sunny day out. I grabbed my glasses (ray bans) and sat out in the gazebo. "You have a really nice backyard" I said. "Thanks, my mom designed it" he said.

"I got the speaker, that's okay with you right" Jacob said. "Yea ofc" hunter said. "Guys I like hanging out like this" hunter smiled and put on his shades. "So do I-" I said and the doorbell rang. "Do you think that's your mom" Jacob asked me. "No, she said she'll be coming at 9:30" I said and looked through the window. "It looks like it's a few girls" I said. "Does Amber know where you live" I asked. "Probably I mean what doesn't she know about hunter" Jacob said and I laughed.

"That's probably true" I said.

Hunters p.o.v

"I'll get it" Ashton said as I walked in from the backyard. I went up to the door with him. "See guys I told you this was his house" Amber said looking back at her friends. "Omg I forgot how cute you were" Amber said looking at Ashton. "Can I have a hug" she asked. "No" he laughed and ran off. "Hunter" she squealed. "Oh hey" I said awkwardly, and she gave me a hug. Like usual. "What're you doing here" I asked as she walked inside my house. "Did your house get bigger" she asked. "We had a few renovations" I said. "I thought-" I said. "Thought I was coming over tomorrow, nope it's a surprise for you my little munshkin" she smiled and walked to the backyard. "Ugh what're they still doing there. "They're here to hang out with me, their also my friends, if you completely forgot" I said.

"Oh I didn't forget, I just don't like them" she said. "Omg hey guys" she said opening the backyard door. She's so fake it's unreal.

She ended staying here for like an hour. She really made my day shitty. "Well I think I should get going" she said trying to be flirty. "Ya think" I said under my breath. "Ok bye" I said going to open the door for her."So what time for tomorrow" she asked. "Uh the pla was to hang out one day this isn't a everyday thing" I said. "Oh yea forgot about Jess, she should really leave" she said. "She always gets in the middle of us" she said annoyed. "Us?" I asked.

"There will never be an us ever or in a long time, how is she getting in between us she's barely been in between us" I said. "Aw someone wants to get back together" she smiled "yea you, it's getting late so bye" I said closing the door on her
