"He kissed you?!" I flinch as I look over at Fiona, her squeaky voice echoing.
"Not so loud," I groan, as I look around. Luckily no one was paying attention.
"Details!" She demands, and I smile a little.
Fiona is nothing like Lila, back home.
If I had told Lila what had happened last Friday, she would have just smirked, but that was all.
Here was Fiona, grilling me for details. It was both annoying, but also caring of her.
"Well... not the lips. The cheek," I explain, and she pouts.
"What kind of-" "Shush!" I squeal. Though it is history, one of the classes that AJ and I don't have together, I was kind of expecting him to walk in at any minute.
"My parents were there anyway," I point out, and she flinches.
"Explains a lot," she nods, and I laugh at her expression.
Throughout history, we chat, and just kind of ignore the teacher.
Then at the end of class, as we are walking out, she turns to me.
"Hey, I never got to ask you this... where did you come from before you moved here?" I gulp and avert my eyes, adjusting my headband.
"Uh... um, uh... California."
I feel kind of guilty saying that, but it isn't like I am giving anything away.
And why should I feel guilty?
She nods, smiling. "I go there every summer,"
I grin, and that's when I feel an arm sling lazily around my shoulder, pulling me away.
I looked up to find AJ, looking down at me with an irritated expression.
"C'mon," he urges, and I wave goodbye to a suspicious Fiona as he literally drags me away.
"What is your problem?" I groan, trying to free my wrist from his grasp.
He doesn't bother answering, just tugs me toward the front doors of the school.
Growling, I sit down on my butt pathetically.
He looks down at me sourly. "Please, just come on!" He pleads, and I shake my head. "Not until you tell me what's going on."
Then something more complicated happens.
"Rosalie?"
I jump to my feet and spin around, my eyes wide.
"Joey?"
