Dark 2

15 : Mom

We took a room in that resort again since Lisa's dad was getting late. We couldn't stand out there with Zayn in that condition. The witch cleaned up all of his wounds using some potion she prepared. He wasn't bleeding anymore. He just had bandages on to cover the wounds.

"Thankyou Mr. Crogan. But, you're sure everyone's under the spell right?" Mom asked.

"Yea they are." He replied. "Everyone you know, every single student, professor, janitor, security guard, everyone. Including your parents boys."

"There was also some spirit wandering around on the third floor since you guys left. Someone broke open the doors to the fourth floor. We had it sealed by some wizards earlier, eighty years back. Now we had to get it done again." He said.

All of us looked at Lisa. She just kept mum. She tried not to act suspicious.

"Haunted, eh?" Mom asked.

"Yea it is." He said.

"Oh." Niall said, switching on his phone after two days. "Strange. She hasn't called me. Not even once. She's alright, right?"

"Your mom's fine Niall. So is your dad." Mr. Crogan said. "Okay I'll leave now. Audrey?"

"Shh." I said. I was trying to meditate. Trying to get help from someone. Trying to talk to someone.

"Alright I'll leave." Mr. Crogan said, and was about to leave. That's when I got up from the floor immediately.

"There's something else." I said.

"Huh?" He turned around and said.

"You're forgetting to tell us something." I said.

"Oh yes, thanks." He said. "Yes there is something. Thanks for reminding me. There's this day coming up next week, well not next week. The week after that. It'll be the first day for the first year students."

"We never had anything like that." Lisa said.

"Yea this is new. It was Gibbs' idea." He said. "You guys have to put up some performance. Probably a dance, or anything else."

All of us shifted our eyes to Zayn. He looked at us, and mouthed "No way!"

"There's also a fitness center opening up that day. It's within our campus itself. It was there earlier too, until a couple of years back. But students just stopped turning up. They lost interest in it. Gibbs' forced to bring that back too. Oh, and there's no classes tomorrow. Just a seminar for you guys at ten, before which, professor Gibbs will make an announcement at nine. You don't have to be there at eight as usual. Just be there at nine." He said.

"That's so cool. A gym in our campus itself." Liam said. "I don't need to go anywhere else to work out."

"It might come in need for you." Niall whispered to me.

"But there's only one glitch in this." He said. "It's only open for boys."

"Well that's ridiculous." I said. "Why should boys have all the fun?"

"I'll see to that." Lisa said.

"There's nothing you can do. Professor Joanne and the other professors objected it, but Gibbs' stood by his decision, and started making it into a fight. I'll leave now. I've got some work to do." He said. "Get to class early tomorrow. Your principal will be talking about this tomorrow."

"I know what to do. Bye dad." Lisa said, hugging him, and he left.

"It's a good thing he knows a lot of wizards." Mrs. Payne said. "Did you listen to him? That wizard, who happened to be his friend, put this spell of everyone we know. Now everyone thinks all of us did our normal jobs these two days."
