Chapter 12: Coming to the end

"Nice of you to join us dear." Le'Land said. I paused and stayed by the wall. I tapped the wall for the gun to popped out. "Why Le'Land?" I really wanted to know. I was tired of running. Tired of fearing for my life. "Is this not obvious to you?"

He looked at me like I was stupid. I swallowed the knot in my throat. "I don't love you anymore Le'Land. Gah why can't you just let me go!" I was fed up with his shit.

"See I knew you would say that but I know thats not true. You vowed that no matter the circumstances you would always love me. I don't believe for one second that its changed." he stepped closer to me and I stepped back and tucked the gun in the back of my boy shorts.

"That all changed when you started to hit me. No one you love should hurt you like you did me." He stepped closer and I pulled out my gun. He had his favorite hunting knife in his hand. "Stay away." I say through my teeth. My knives were tucked in the top of my sports bra. "Now now now darling. When did you learn to be so handy?" He asked sarcastically.

"Now now now honey. A woman never kiss and tell." I stated throwing a thin knife past his face slicing his skin but still landing in the wall. "Bad move sweetheart."

He ran for me and I took a dive for the couch. I pulled out my gun and started shooting. "Don't you know it's not nice to try and kill your wife Le'Land !" I felt him grab me by my hair. "Never said I wanted to kill you Lai'Lanni. Just gonna take what's rightfully mine."

He dragged me in the open space of the den. I kicked him in the shin. "There's nothing here rightfully yours."

He punched me in the side and I stumbled back. I kicked him in the jaw causing him to hit the floor. "Why can't you just leave well enough alone?" He got up and swung his knife at me. The blade knicked my arm. I flipped over the counter. "See Le'Land. I've learned alot since I left you." I heard him scoff as I looked for a way to save Lorenzoe. I signaled him to stay quiet. I grabbed a blade.

I rolled and cut his rope and pushed him out of the way. I threw a blade in Le'Lands leg causing him to drop. I kicked him in the ribs causing them to crack and him spit up blood. "Damn baby. Your getting better." I scoffed. "I'm just getting started." I kneed him in the nose. He grabbed me by foot and yanked me down causing me to hit my head hard.

"Nice underwear." He yanked me under him and pinned my arms down.
