JD's POV

Automatic akong napatingin kay Nia nang narinig ko ang sinabi ni Lander.

Lumayo ako saglit sa kanya at sininyasan na mag-antay sya.

"What do you mean she's back?" Kahit may hinala na ako gusto ko pa ring makasiguro.

"Oh come on JD, I know you knew her. Do I need to spell the beans?"

Right there, I knew I'm not wrong. She's for real.

"Don't over think Dude, maybe I'm not her purpose."

"At nagkataon lang na sabay pa sa pag-alis mo sa team. Oh come on JD, don't give me that bullshit! Nakalimutan mo na ba?"

"Of course I didn't! It's just that, it happened long time ago. She might have move on."

"Do you?"

"Why do you have to ask me?"

"And why not?"

Tsk, kulit talaga ng loko.

"I need to hang up, I'll call you later."

"Why don't you come here? You know the bar we used to hang out with her?"

"Some other time, I'm in Nia's house."

Hindi ko na sya inantay na sumagot, pinatay ko na ang phone at binalikan si Nia.

"Sorry bout that, Lander called me."

"No worries, btw I gotta go."

Tatalikod na sana sya pero hinawakan ko ang kamay nya para pigilan. Ewan ko kung nagulat sya dahil tiningnan nya ang kamay ko.

"Could we talk first? I mean I'm not yet done. Please?"

"What about it this time?"

Hinila ko sya para maupo sa isang mahabang upuan ng hindi sya binitawan.

"What I'm trying to say is that, I already explained to you my part. Could you at least give me a chance?"

Gusto kong matapos ang araw na ‘to na malinaw ang lahat sa pagitan namin. Yung hindi sya lumalayo habang hinahabol ko sya.

"Nia, I'm not saying you should forget what I did before. I'm not expecting you to forgive me easily but could you at least get to know me more?"

"Tss, I know you JD. Three years were enough to let me know you,a jerk, asshole, player not only in basketball but also for girls. A-"

"Tsk, you really know me that much huh? Sige nga, what's my full name?"

"Of course I know that, it's Justin Drake Ponce."

As expected, she doesn't know.

Okay na rin yun, kaysa alam nya ang buong pagkatao ko. Baka kamuhian nya ako.

"Anong mali? Baka gusto mong i-spell ko pa sa harap mo!"

"Psh, pag sinabing mali, mali.Wag mo ng ipagpilitan. Got that?"

"O sige, mali na kung mali. Sabihin mo nga sa akin kung ano ang tama."

"Nah, not my problem anymore. You should know myself more, kasi ako kilalang-kilala kita."
