We were walking in the middle of an abandoned street. To my right stood several hotels, yet only the old skeletons of the buildings remained.

On my left was a beautiful field of grass that seemed to stretch on into the warm afternoon sun.

It was beautiful- watching the grass sway in the wind. It would be so nice to just escape it all. . .

And then I felt Isaac's hand slip over my shoulder. I immediately wanted to swat it away when I realized he was trying to guide me. Considering there was nothing but road ahead of us, I guess that would make sense.

I glanced back at Indigo. She was walking with Rex at a very fast pace- since she had much shorter legs than him. I then remembered that Indigo and I were almost in the exact same situation. She was taken from her house to help serve their cause. Of course, she didn't see her families dead bodies and she didn't have to leave her friends right on the street.

I turned back around, watching Isaac remove his hand from my shoulder and walk up to some random spot in the middle of the road.

He crouched down and rested his hand on the dirt. He brushed some of it away to reveal a big metal slate.

Suddenly there was a smart screen embedded the metal and he pressed his hand on it.

I watched as the screen scanned his hand and the ground started to shake violently. A mound of dirt near Isaac seemed to disappear and then there was a big hole in the ground.

I walked over to Isaac along with the group and we all surrounded the hole. It lead down into a winding stairwell.

Gemma went first with Rex and Indigo following. I was about to walk down when Isaac grabbed my arm. I turned, realizing he was helping me down.

I slapped his hand away, furrowing my eyebrows and crossing my arms.

I didn't turn back toward him as I hopped down the steps into the dark hallway.

(Sorry, this wasn't one of my best chapters! I was in a bit of a slump.)
