   Sappho's POV
I was about to answer Caleb’s question when I heard Jared’s voice.

I turned around and saw my older brother walk to me smiling. He was all sweaty and he had what looked like a machete in his hand. Jared’s green eyes sparkled with glee to see that his little sister survived the deadly fire.

I ran to Jared and hugged him, “I thought you were dead,” I said. “I thought the dream was just an allusion.”

Jared smiled even bigger. “But I’m not,” he said. “I thought you were dead too, until the dream.”

Caleb quietly walked over to the family reunion.

“Are you two going out?” he asked curious.

I giggled and shook my head. “He’s my brother. We both thought that our other sibling died in a fire.”

Caleb looked surprised for a second and then hid his astonishment. “So all that rubble we saw; that was your home?”

I nodded and felt warm tears fall down my cheeks. It was heartbreaking to just think of all the losses from the fire; my dad, my stepmom, and Iggy; my black lab.

I wiped my tears. “I have a new home now.”

Jared smiled a little, “Well then sis; are you ready to see your new home?”

“Jared?” I asked. “Who’s your, godly mom?”

“Hecate, do you know yours yet?”

“Same.” I said smiling a little.

“Great,” Jared said grabbing my wrist trying to pull me off to only the gods know where.

“Wait.” I said walking over to Caleb

“It doesn’t matter what I thought then,” I told him. “It’s what I think now.”

“What do you think now?” Caleb asked me quizzically.

“I think that if my brother can survive that fire that the gods are real,” I countered.

Caleb smiled crookedly. “I’m sure your brother will explain things better than I can if you’re confused.”

            “Okay.”

With my response he turned away and walked off.

That was weird, I thought walking to Jared who was waiting for me just out of an earshot from the discussion I had with Caleb. He didn’t ask me about it; which is one reason I love my brother.

“Ready for your tour?” he asked happily.

“Sure,” I said with a nod
